It takes so much more strength to dance and move thru this skating routine than to perform a faster paced one. That is what so set Torvill and Dean apart as skaters. They were amazingly strong and were able in so many routines to go slow for terrific results.

And the story they told: Romeo and Juliet... The precise choreography expressing tenderness, love, desperation, desire with so many kisses and beautifully, refined movements, synchronization of both dancers - indescribable, wonderful, brilliant.

My Mum let myself and Sister stay up late to watch this, age 14. I think it was around midnight as the ice was melting! It still gives me goosebumps!!

I have seen them perform this live 5 times when they toured Australia 5 times over a 15 year period. Always breathtaking, They are touring next year in their “Last Dance” before retiring. I’ve got my tickets for June next year. They said it may be slightly modified as they do age appropriate skating now. They were in Australia a few days ago promoting their new tour.
