Bravo ottimo lavoro, piu' video sarebbe perfetto
Sottotitoli in italiano?
Non ci sono I sottotitoli.
ciao, la tua casa è in val Pellice? buon lavoro
Very inspiring, great to watch, love the casual no nonsense way of filming
How much this land and ruins? What is land size?
Good luck, Assam places 🥰 Grate project ☺
Next time rent some goats. Few days later everything is cleared
Great idea we had cows and goats on there but bush was to much they did well on the rest of the land tho
mesmerized, so impressive and well done guys, I am th8nking of moving to italy next year, am dutch old lady in scotland found you when following martijn doolaard, he is on 1200 meter northside I think close to johannes the priest his neighbour on the southside, martijn just finished the roof on his cabin so my tip is get some tips from him how to get your cabin waterproof, hope he lives close to you so you can help each other:) love and good luck from scotland maybe see you next year xx
wauw impressive, I found you by following martijn doolaard maybe he is in your area:) he has been there for three years now and has just finished one of the cabins
bon courage
Salut Travis ! J'aime beaucoup le respect que tu as pour la maison, la nature et la préservation des éléments qu'il reste dans la maison. Bon courage pour cette rénovation.
I admire this perseverance👍
THIS CABIN IS VER VERY OLD, THE WINDOW IS FROM MIDDLE-AGE KEEP IT SAFE ,PLEASE ( The window is made to protect from military assault)
As you said, 137 years ago (late 1800's) no power tools, probably no easy access to the property, with just an idea or out of necessity, with strength, determination, maybe a little help and a whole lot of sweat. Please keep this channel to the restoration, as a tribute to the amazing people who were able to build the house, make it a home and I'm assuming lived off the land. Anxious for the next video.
in quale regione sei in italia?
After the unloading of the car your subtitles were switched off, pity. Please be aware of that. I love your work and video though 🤩
Thanks for the subtitles. And don't forget the English ,😂 I don't speak Italian 🤣
Can you please open up for subtitles. Can't understand your speaking
Top tip. Sprinkle water when you have that much dust to deal with. ….. and do your flies up or your tackle will get cold. Like the channel keep it going.
Please create a playlist about this series on your channel.
I believe your chainsaw needs sharpening and because your house repair is of a stone house in Italy, it would be wise to employ an Italian stone mason to give you sage advice on how to proceed properly with the repairs. Sage advice learned at the very start will afford you to avoid costly mistakes and setbacks in the months ahead.
Love watching your channel, so much work to be done. I watch another channel (Domaine Sauvage) he has a Dumper much like your WarHorse, very useful piece of equipment for sure. Good luck and Happy New Year.
That lil excavator is sooo cute ! Takes about 100's of hours longer than a big boy.
Great to see a new video. Lots of hard work. Happy Christmas 🎄
🤠 CHANNEL. Would it work for you to tid bit some of you'ens past, here there and yonder, especially as it has. trained you in some of your skills, sorta like when you mentioned cranking the Work Horse, and working for your Grandfather
I shall soon promise
🤠 You're getting some great photography
Thanks 👍 takes time first video was random phone next was old gopro now I've invested it nice camera to try to show better pixel videos kind regards Travis
🤠 WOOD SPLITTER. down the trail when you weary of swinging a maul, may want to check out yhe. "SPLIT FIRE WOOD SPLITTER" one wil be quite an investment,
🤠 Rip SAW-- Cross cut saw; Rip blade ---- Cross cut blade ; Rip chain ---- Cross cut chain
The tree 🌳 it's self was a beech tree and it fell only because of the land giving so it was strong and still in good health cutting it straight down would take seconds how ever cutting strips for shelfs takes time and patients. the blade was sharp and the chain saw was at ease yet the sound on the gopro sounds terrible ... I've done this for many years Im happy to keep to what right I've just removed a old willow tree back in England this weekend cut it like butter totally depends on trees chain it's still going strong 💪 👍
🤠
I'm a subscriber and i like what your doing. More power to ya. As a builder and fabricator I don't think skinning a dump box floor without removing existing floor is a good idea. moisture will be eventually trapped between the layers and not end well as the moisture cant escape readily. My advice is power ahead. Its easy to be a critic. Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree however, there's a fine line in my brain between how much I throw at this dumper that might not last not knowing the history of it 😅 More to last the house build only i just wanted it to have no leaks for when I pile concrete in there for doing a foundation work 👌 I was thinking to use the engine as a generator later see
Hi Travis, you're welcome! It's a great idea to keep those stones, woods and maybe others things; they might be very useful in the future. After a good cleanup, you'll see things more clearly. I follow other channels like yours. You both seem like a lovely couple, and I think I'll continue following you in hopes of learning something new and maybe even offering some modest advice. Greetings from Genova!
I'm looking forward to seeing you restore this speck of Italy, just like martijn Doolard.. But you have the scenery to show off..
Yes keep this channel for the house imho! Thank you!
You got it! Thanks
Good start Travis! I think you have a great project that many will be interested to follow. I wish you all the best as you find your way.
Pit a GoPro on your car so its not shaking as much.. An old GoPro 10 is good enough
welcome to italy! best of luck and keep on posting this content!
idk man i think bare land would be better. this place looks ROUGH
A couple of donkeys would help. Goats too
Why doesn't your wife help you, is she working?
We does in more ways then able to be shown 👏 she will appear in more as we move forward she's more so shy 🤭 then anything Kind regards Travis ✨️
Super❤
how do you not get overwhelmed? this house is completely rotted and even walls need to be rebuilt
No walls are solid 👌 wood is replaced with ease
Question do you have to submit plans for review subject to Italian building codes?
Yes 100% or works can not be done I will talk about this as we move forward plans are just the start there is so much that needs to be prepared for Kind regards Travis
Hi from France Travis and Claire At the begining of 3 rd épisode, just before the French A26 highway toll, you are closer less 3 km of my village, you can see the top church from the road. Do you know MARTIJN DOOLARD youtube channel ? He also rebuilt stone cabin in Italian alp, he is near Turin, in Noth of Monte VANDALINO. Where are you near of ?
O wow 👌 that's awesome we are 30min from turin problem with sharing areas is privacy and alot of people watch the videos I have a feeling people randomly turn up at Martijns property, that is why I think it's great to share the build but Privacy is key Also, things are likely to go walk about sharing areas Kind regards Travis ✨️
OK no problem with that, I just want to know if it's piedmont or dolomit in regard with technical type of construction. Have a nice week.
Thankyou yes we are in the Piedmont area 😀 the construction is so different per region of area so my side of the mountain I can do say a larger window size then the other side For example it's all down the the rules of the local council and area it's so hard to know it's best to speak with a local Geometry to the area your buying before you purchase 👍 😉
Good luck and welcome to Italy😊
Nice ! Unloading!
It's the same with a horse. If it won't go forward over, through or by something, you can just turn it around and back it up. At least that's been my experience over the last 60 years.
If do a weeks filming and upload it once week to youtube, that would be ideal
Working on it kind regards Travis ✨️
Please keep chanel for the house Regards Barry
I love watching what you are doing. Do continue. But, I wish you posted more often. Going a month at a time means little sense of continuity. If possible, post once a week or (at least) every fortnight.
Working on it! Kind regards Travis
