Loved this review. People who are not getting your point are those who only care about themselves. The shade matched you so well yet you voiced out for those deeper than your skin tone and can fall victim to the false advertisement. I am glad you talked about it. If you watch Sephora’s powder foundation shade match tutorial, apparently the disparity between the color in the pan and the color on the body is par for the course with all pressed powder foundations because emollients in the skin deepen the pigment. When you’re trying to match yourself, never choose based off a match with the color in the pan; always go lighter. On the body, the powder will deepen in color.

I absolutely love this review! As a brown skin girl I get so frustrated with the make up industry. And it might swatch similar most likely lighter to the color of my skin, but it’s not the color that it was advertised to be.

Powder foundations oxidize…. So they appear lighter but turn darker once it hits your skin.

That might of been a mistake in labeling because other people used the darker shade and it was exactly as shown

The color isn’t what it is in the pan, it’s what it looks like on the skin. The color image online is meant to reflect what it looks like when applied.

I am shocked at whatever sorcery they did to make butter toffee turn to dark chocolate. I do think there needs to be a disclaimer educating on their product. My guess is they found a way to use oxidation to their benefit

The color is so off for his brand... i love that it works well but then the color is just tooo offfff... so just gotta go w/the closet color that matches the skin. Idk y it gives orangey color off the powder after putting it on.
