I remember both Geauga Lake and SeaWorld of Ohio, going to both and Cedar Point. Loved them all and lot of memories. My my favorite roller coasters were Raging Wolf Bob's and the Mean Streak, and the Big Dipper ❤❤❤❤❤😎

My opinion of it closing mirrors your own. Too much, too quick, not enough infrastructure. I remember going the first year it became this massive thing, and it was literally a shit show! Wait times were horrible. Specifically, having to wait in line to take a leak for over 20 minutes on its own was atrocious. It was such a disorganized mess, I never went back. I think that first year left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. Let alone, as you mentioned, nowhere to stay, entry and egress from the park was a nightmare. Just a bad idea. I don’t think Cedar Fair bought it to close it. To me, that’s just a dumb statement anyone can make. They paid millions, invested millions, but the writing was already on the wall, it seemed. I think they had the right idea to scale it back after attendance numbers went in the toilet. But it was all for not. What a shame….

The thing that people visiting now, especially if you are from out of town and younger than 30 is that the people who stsrted Kings Island did so with a special love in their heart for the park and desired for it to be a world class ecperience for famimlies and coaster enthusiasts. The quality of rides in their own time and rhe variety kf those rides has dropped since Cedar Fair took over as have the quality of announcements for rides. The park is loved and treasured by locals because of all of the industry firsts pioneered there. All of that said if Kings Island is ever to be treated with the kond of love and effection its openers desired again it will nred to get out from under Six Flags ownership. Theres a feeling of bejng relegated to the "family park" and being farmed for our money.

From time’s past, I have heard of this park, but I never went. There are many good parks out there. However, in the mid East, it is hard to beat CEDAR POINT. CP has pretty much out showcased so many other parks. They have become the “Rollercoaster park of the world”. In fact, in 2025, they will be introducing yet another coaster. Amazing! Peace.

I miss having season passes and spending weekends here. My first roller coaster was the double loop. Some of the coasters are still in operation at different parks.

Personally, growing up with these parks, CF ruins everything! They've stolen tradition, rides for whole families, it's all about tragic excitement. They can't even get Top Thrill 2 to run! Now, instead of a family ride, water ride anything for family's, a tilt coaster. There's a lot of people who can't go on rides like that but would like a view! Space spiral gone, white water landing, gone, snake river falls gone. Tilt coaster, really? Good luck having it lock to the track. CF, remember who made you what you are! Nostalgia 18:14 , fun, family fun, not teen drama! It's sad really, because, CF don't care

I think the location was fantastic! It was in a quiet area, you didn't have tons of traffic, you parked and went in without any issues, etc. It was a great place. I refuse to give a penny to Cedar Fair! I take the kids to Hershey Park in PA. It reminds me a lot of G.L.

As a kid in the 70s/80s I used to go a few times a year. Sea World drove me nuts seeing the coasters across the lake. I drive past this property a few times a year. I am good friends with Jeff the Magician that worked at GL for many years. I agree it is not the best location and now Now, I drive 1:15 to CP once a week in the summer.

Im going there today anyone recommend anything for a 9 year old that loves roller coasters ( my cousin) because 🤷🏼‍♀️
