Evil Joel Osteen Inspiration Cube Mod
Patreon is here, should you wish to help support more weird and overly-ambitious projects: www.patreon.com/SocketScience/
-------------------
The Joel Osteen Inspiration Cube is a bit... hard to comprehend as an actual product. With Halloween around the corner, I thought it would be fun to mod it and imagine what it would be like if this box were haunted.

Build your dream desk with FlexiSpot and use my code YTE7P50 for $50 off on the FlexiSpot E7 PLUS standing desk! FlexiSpot E7 PLUS Standing Desk: bit.ly/4dU8dis I built a DIY see-through LCD screen to use as a second monitor on my PC. The frame is 3d printed, and I'm just happy I didn't break anything (or everything). Check out the other channel for more science-y explainer stuff (subscribe for...

Build your dream desk with FlexiSpot and use my code YTE7P50 for $50 off on the FlexiSpot E7 PLUS standing desk! FlexiSpot E7 PLUS Standing Desk: bit.ly/4dU8dis In this video, we tackle the ambitious project of building a 3d printed motorcycle-style V-twin engine, powered entirely by CO2 gas released from baking soda and vinegar. Will it work? Will it be a complete failure? Will it blow up? Fin...
DIY Gaming Laptop (with a Whole DESKTOP PC Stuffed Inside!!)
Переглядів 628 тис.3 місяці тому
After 14 months of trying to figure out how the *&$#!^ to make this thing actually work (and look okay-ish in the process), we're finally here. If you haven't guessed, it's a custom DIY laptop built completely from scratch, with a Ryzen CPU and a Radeon GPU and everything else a regular desktop might have. If you haven't seen the first video, it's here: ua-cam.com/video/FR27wjpwCLM/v-deo.html P...
Part 1: Building the Ultimate DIY Gaming Laptop w/ Desktop Parts
Переглядів 150 тис.4 місяці тому
I built a laptop using 3d printed parts, but reinforced and finished properly to look similar to an actual production laptop you might find in a store. All the parts are desktop hardware, with a full-power CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 5600X) as well as a full power desktop GPU (XFX RX6600). This build video is part 1 of 2. For business inquiries, sponsorship offers, collab pitches, or to tell me how pretty...
Poly Bridge in Real Life (Multiple Bridges)
Переглядів 20 тис.Рік тому
With Poly Bridge 3 coming out, I thought it would be fun to bring a few Poly Bridge levels to life in the real world. This is a way to honor the design style we've all grown to love from the middle-child game, and it's also just a silly project to give me something to do so I stay out of trouble. With painting, 3d printing, foam work, and more, these bridges finally exist in the real world. Sho...

This is a 3D printed laptop not a "homemade" laptop, not everyone wants to invest time and money on a 3D printer. A more feasible approach would be to make it out of PVC or Metal but no you chose the easy route which for 99.99% of people is still unreachable. Cool build though

"guys you don't understand! we don't see you making gaming laptops, there's no way we can make them cool properly and have decent hinges while also having replaceable parts!!!" - every laptop manufacturer ever There is no longer any excuse for the e-waste that these big companies pump out. Laptops can obviously be made way better than they currently are, and we need to quit letting them lie to us about it.

It doesn't sound like an evil twin Joel Osteen though. The sermon needs to be depressing and discouraging, with a bit of eternal damnation if you don't pay your spiritual fines. 🤣

You made your own connector, but didn't make it like magsafe. I guess that'll have to go in version 2, along with a custom CNC'd unibody design! 🍎

I have an unused Toshiba Qosmio 17.3 laptop with dual GTX 970m or 980m sitting around that can be used as a donor parts for the chassis, screen (maybe will upgrade to 4K), cooling, I/O ports, keyboard, and mousepad. How much did it all cost? A i9-14900KS + 7900 XTX/RTX 4070+++ will be a challenge with a minimum ~750w-800w gold/platinum custom power supply.

they are not the same card nor named the same any of the laptop GPUs are gonna say m after the number or completely different number because its the mobile version of the card obviously. did you really glue the heat sinks this guy has no idea what he doing that is gonna run hot in matter of time when it separates and catches fire or prob just go up in flames outta no where good effort tho but you want solder it not use jb weld it can trap the heat and be insulator.

Can you just modify the charging port, so you can just charge the laptop using USB-C, Super Fast Charging? Plus add additional features, like ports specifically for Micro SD Cards

hm, my immediate thought was to get a broken thinkpad, remove the bottom plate, 3d print it to fit everything. For cooling, I thought to try coolers from the laptops. And well, my initial thought was to use a PCIe rizer instead of keeping GPU inside: keeping battery instead, but I like the way you did it as well
