i recommend taking it to someone with some more experience as it may still be saveable

Each fuse has 2 point on each side 4 total, they line up in the same direction as the trace lines underneath hope this helps

Yea as long as the technicial uses the correct quality of part it should be as OEM spec

Prob less than 1mm its from the inside of ethernet cable, there are paired wires and inside those you find very fine wires

hmmm you would have to find out the exact specs i would recommend buying donor board

hmm depends on the machine used but yea about 420 and 50% flow would be a great place to start, you have to find the "sweet spot" for your entire setup and method of work, i tend to work a bit hotter and faster than some you can always lower temp and increase flow to yield same results thats why im saying it all depends on your own work flow

just a regular suction cup from like mobilesentrix or somewhere that sells electronics repair stuff even amazon

I have queried many sellers on this and all of them have come back saying no the CYW4356X for the Lite doesn't work in the OLED. It's the same chip but apparently it doesn't work. So many conflicting answers. Have you personally tried a brand new CYW4356X in an OLED before?@@SwitchWhisperer

it sounds like you may have another short at some place. if its 2 different traces that are shorting to ground that is! maybe send me a photo to my email kangenandyf@gmail.com and i can verify

Flux is applied before soldering, the black substance? Im not sure what that is… and you can always just use jumper wire to connect the fuse points instead of removing it

you can use any small gauge wire, even if u have a spare ethernet cable just use a small wire from inside that wire

reflow can be done by a soldering specialist, it means to heat the solder to the melting point of a specific chip so that it re-flows into place and reconnects any lost connections

it could be that the disc drive is actually faulty in that case try a new disc drive

I'd already done that and switched the old board out and put into in the new drive, but the error message persisted.

@@lbgamingyt3 yea it could be other board related faults also, unfortunately i never ran into it past this issue. you can always attempt this and replace both fuses ?

i think there is a few since there was special edition etc, but all of them i have opened have these exact same faults and nintendo is known for having this continued fault trend even on switch and power circuit for example. hope this helps

i didnt replace the fuses i just run jumper wire so soldering iron, hot air, solder, and some jumper wire. flux ofc. otherwise nothing special used

​@@salty353because that will only work so many times- and then this process will be what you're ultimately doing anyway. I have V1 with bad charging IC/controller IC and I know using it before I can REALLY give it the repair it needs might risk damaging the whole unit further.

Yea the board is SO THICK! Low melt makes it a lot easier too. 2-3 mins isnt bad though but yea what a painful length lol

@@SwitchWhisperer yea I definitely use low melt too. No reason not to on these things.

Try to do a hard reset it is similar to the newer iphones where you need to do a sequence (vol up then vol down then hold power 10seconds) otherwise you may have unplugged the flexes when you put it back together as they are very flimsy connection
