Great video Kyle, thank you. We've been out near Murphys Creek recently, and only saw 2300's, Do the 2700s now run through to FI ?
Forget nailed it, We got railed it😂
Glad you picked up on my crappy pun 😅
This is just a nostalgia. All this locomotives have been diminished.
This locomotive runs on a fortnightly basis for a heritage railway
Love the vid mate
Hey mate, great vid. Thanks for sharing, catch up soon
Glad you enjoyed Mark, hope you are doing well!
up at rosewood railway museum (not currently open to the public) we have a couple steam loco's in need of repair. It's s good to see some heritage rail in QLD, it's not given a big thought as is in nsw
What is heritage in Queensland...
That is so cool! I'm looking for a change from coalies. :)
Its not a bad Job. If you can live with earning around $50,000 over a period of 6 months, and don't expect them to offer you a full time position either.
This is D5H-063 ?
Nah mate built in Australia
@@kylegleeson8638 I saw this one is similar to D5H.
@@Viettrainspotter Is this in Vietnam on the metre gauge railway? A few of these were sent over there
@@kylegleeson8638 yes in Vietnam. There were many videos many years ago.
You should do videos like this in other states and territories as well one day Mr Gleeson 😀
See how we go, I am not made of money unfortunately...
dammmmm the scenery looks amazing, must be lucky to be a driver and see them views every day!
Bloody oath, been contemplating doing it but the GEs are going shortly

Great video mate
Glad you enjoyed Felipe :)
UBOAT POWER !!! love them DX's :D. nice video mate good to see some much needed coverage out west in recent times :D

Choice video bro, good to see some aluminum billet on the train at 9.51. I spent some time at the NZAS smelter during their expansion quite a few years ago.
Cheers John, that would have been an experience!
Also if anyone would like to know why the Da was used is due to Marlborough being too dry and the fire risk being at a permanent fite ban in place at the time...
Daddy gleeso
Yes?
Hope you had a good trip here to our place :D good to see steam and diesel action on the old MNL.
New Zealand is an amazing place, I'll be back again!
@kylegleeson8638 ill guess up north next time
I'll do both!

Another incredible video mate Awesome job I was wondering if you were thinking of doing some watco cattle and grain trains around Queensland?
Thanks Michael, I'll see what I can do, I don't have much time away from work or receive much information on when they are running
@kylegleeson8638 no worries kyle It's all good Just thought I'd ask I've caught a few cattle trains around Rockhampton quite a few times
mega lore expansion
Im extremely excited mate
I hope it met your expectations!

Great video
Glad you enjoyed it mate
Very nice👍
Indeed
Cool to see a bit of what goes on on the cane railways, a lot similar and a lot different to what we do with the coalies, mind you, id pay money to have automated couplers.
Glad you enjoyed Chris! Oh mate they make shunting so much easier
He is full a shit !
No, He is not. He might not know the names of some of the stations but what he said is basically true.
My Homestate, you were so lucky to score 2009 leading 46 at Bengeo as there are only two active DQ's in maroon paint.... did you guys manage to catch up with Adrain Cooper in Burnie? He is a legend
Eyah lookout, Unfortunately not we didn't spend much time there unfortunately
Could do with a fresh coat of paint 😢😮
Hey Kyle thanks for sharing this videos of railways of the apple ile
Great stuff Kyle! I was in Townsville on Saturday 1/6 on my first visit to that area and discovered this train sitting in Partington Yards. Information I read today (9/6) says these locos are owned and operated by Progress Rail. I look forward as always, to more of your videos - I learn *SO* much out of them!!! 😍
Glad you got something out of it Toby!
are you doing more videos for this year's crush 2024
Yea Edward, I'll be on a new network and loco this year. Leave some questions if you like and I'll answer them in the next video
@@kylegleeson8638 Where are you at this season?!
@@_NicBP South of Mackay
Great footage. Whens Tassie getting a passenger train service? Long overdue
I doubt it ever will. The trains are extremely slow down there. Don River aim to provide a mainline tourist train in the future; a lot of work for that to eventuate however
6:25 I get goosebumps from that sound 😂🤣
The Legend is alive again
I am dead inside...
I know 🥰
Should be more steam running.
It wouldn't be special if it was a common occurrence
odd they run on the right side instead of the left side
I believe its to do with the throughput of trains between Coppabella and Hay point. If trains ran on the left there would be a few bottlenecks
The peculiar thing about those EMD GT46CU-ACe Gen III is that they are longer than the conventional EMD GT46C-ACe from Australia Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
This was filmed in Australia, It would make sense as QLD has a smaller loading gauge than NSW, etc.
@@kylegleeson8638 What I'm still waiting for very soon is the 180 ton EMD GT46C-ACe gen II for the NSW coal mine
@@KCSM_1200 That'll be cool, I am yet to venture into NSW!
We’re we’re all the intermodal filmed because I showed my friend (jakes trains) and he said that wasn’t Blackwater (he’s probably wrong tho) so I was just wondering were it was
On the blackwater system...
So this is the dud section car you’re siting on ?
Amazing video, I'm currently a loco driver up in the herbert region, and your lines are much flatter and in better shape than ours up here😅 Our top speed is only 25kmph on our mainline up here and half of our mainline is only suitable for 24-26 tonne locos, our 40 tonne locos can only do so much, mainly out bambaroo way.
I was thinking of coming up that way this season, playing with some Baldwins instead of 40 tonners every day. The flat terrain and repetition is boring me. Not only that if something happens on the main at Giru you can forget about cane supply! There really isn't a challenge except for Barratta Creek, and if you head out on an overtime shift to Millaroo. However, I will be heading to Plane Creek this year. Doin something different 😁 Did they sort out the RSU on Brissie and Clem.? Giru has been a pain in the arse
Yeah they ended up fixing the clemac and brisbane RSU issues but I hate the new RSU boxes, I prefer the catron over them any day, the new boxes vigilance alarms are horrific and you cant hear them, nearly every shift the Leichardt and Brisbane alarms go off at least once.
Ooh I needed that
We all did, I have been holding onto crap for too long!
It's harder than you'd think to remember your lines and deliver them in a way that doesn't feel weird. xD You're doing great, it's always fun to see this sort of thing. xD
You've summed it up perfectly. Gotta have a laugh at these things
That map is gold.
It sums this place up pretty well!
Great video 😊
Thanks mate
Great footage again kyle.
Thanks Lachlan
nice
Kyle!!! Not very nice at all.
oh ok
