    Am at this Redhill hawker centre now. Bought a plate of this stall black carrot cake. Yes it is indeed delicious! Different from other stalls I tried before. By the way, tried the Cha kueh stall on the opposite side. Opposite side stall lost hands down. So yeah, t your recommendation is surprising good! Thank you!

    I though the original Tiong Bahru Hokkien Mee was moved to ABC Bukit Mareh during the renovation and never gone back. Sadly, the old couple retired this year. Its superb and no need award.

    The day Fatty Loh Chicken Rice was recommended by Michelin, it’s clear their recommendation is worth Jack. Same as the roti canai they recommend in Phuket. Looks worse than dog food. 🤣😂 Anyways, must go try this.

    A law should be made that when a patron visit the buffet table, he must wear a mask. Also, a handwashing sink must be situated before the buffet table. The current of the tap should not be like those at coffee shops, hawker centres and food courts that are a mockery the HPB's '7 Steps on how to wash your hands clean'. Those tongs and scoops have been touched by many and then you use the same hand which has held them to hold your toast and buns.

    Am still puzzled as to why this stall received the award. Friend told me to go there & try their ‘delicious’ Hokkien mee. So … I went . There was a short queue at 5pm. Got my H M. Looked at it. Why so dry ?? Took a mouthful. Couldn’t get the seafood taste ( because no broth ?). I searched for pork belly. None ?? Scratching my head. How on earth did stall get the award when there are many more yummy, authentic H M ?? Frankly, I gave up eating after a few mouthfuls. Went to eat at other stalls.

      It's difficult to say when they would get crowded, because it depends on the number of flights taking off around the same time. As I remember it, both T1 SATS & Plaza Premium lounges do have showers, and decent spread of food. However, if you enjoy alcoholic drinks, SATS has a better selection, as well as massage chairs. I believe SATS gets higher traffic than Plaza Premium. Enjoy your flight!

    A hawker stall started business by the roadside located next to Queenstown Library before moving to the opposite hawker centre. Selling at from 50 cents to 70 cents with/without eggs. I had my first CKT in 1965.

      It started early 1960s at the side road before the Queenstown Library was built. He stood on a wooden crate to fry. Some bring their plate and egg at 20 cent a plate.

    3:38 unhygienic practice , why does he need to wipe the side of the plate with a disgusting cloth . Just leave it , and pass the plate . The customer will know where to put their finger on the plate . Another stall near the area , the assistant will use the dirty table cloth to wipe the Ta bao paper before putting the noodle on it . That stall is great but i will never order take away . Last i saw they are still wiping the Ta bao paper surface with the dirty cloth which they also use for wiping the table . Can send these hawkers to food hygiene refresher course please ?

    Thank you for sharing this video. He’s a very friendly and humble man. Be prepared to wait as he fries his CKT one plate at a time. I’ve ever waited for about 45 minutes. It’s worth waiting! 👏👏

    My fabulous favourite CKT uncle.. a hidden gem at TB… formerly from Margaret Drive. Surprised he let u film because with more publicity, he wouldn’t be able to cope as he is already overwhelmed with hungry customers.

    Nice excellent hawker.. he takes the time to listen to your order despite alway a long queue waiting. Humble, friendly man👍

      Uncle is still polite and amicable despite his constant long queue. He tirelessly churns out plates and plates of his delicious char kway teow without stopping.
