Jetsmunt M210TS first 2 startups
Hi guys, I wanted to share my first Jetsmunt turbine experience on my test stand in the garage. These engine designs have been around since 2004 manufactured in Spain. Another quick video showing the first test runs which were absolutely fantastic!! I was very impressed with the fast startup and operation of these turbines. Tons of power, latest technology supporting 2 spark plugs with fast restart (if needed) while being easy to work with. Power to weight ratio is among the best out there. I am running JetA1 fuel with Bad Boyz RC turbine oil mix. Just a great experience overall.
Thanks for watching

      Hello, the 1.25mm is pretty close. The problem I found was that DJI specifications are slightly different causing a problem with the the fit. I was using DJI donor connectors for the best results. In my opinion this enabled DJI more control over their products. Best of luck to you

      Hi, yes this was the turbine ready version, but was older stock when Pilot RC closed their warehouse in CA. I really think this is a beautiful kit with lots of extras. I had some issues with my jet but this is probably not the standard. The AMG decals were not all applied and Pilot sent them for me to install. The landing gear is very strong however the Pilot gear controller did not want to work correctly for me.. when it was first powered on with the gear doors the sync was off everytime. I decided to upgrade with the Xicoy LGC 15 with gyro. Pilot supplies branded servos PW-20AH (20kg) with aluminum arms. These are made in Taiwan, brushless steel gears by a well known mfg. So far these have been very good for me. The jet flies very well and I can recommend it! The lights are installed at the factory as standard which is a nice touch. This was my second turbine jet and outside of some issues that Pilot RC & Chief Aircraft corrected for me quickly.... it the best one I have owned so far. I hope this helps you, Pilot has made some new improvements on the new viper jet 2M version; 3L fuel tank is one of them. I can highly recommend the SW140 turbine from Bad Boyz RC this turbine is easy to set up and has great power. The Viper can really move out with this turbine but when you want to fly slowly it will do that too. This video doesn't show the slow speed landing but it will do it. I will post another short video showing a slower landing. Let me know if you have any other questions Rich thanks for watching ,,, you can look me up in RCG forum

    • @RichJ53
      @RichJ53 3 роки тому

      Hi, the battery capacity is monitored by the DJI intelligent circuit. I believe this was designed to provide you feedback as the battery is cycled through its normal life. 200 cycles being the end of life. Most people do not get that many but some might get even more. So, the DJI Assistant development software, years ago would let us make some changes to the hardware but it was eventually removed and locked the users out. So based on what I understand, you would not be able to change the capacity in the FW of the battery (locked out) Maybe someone else reading this could inform us more? Rich

      The UAT is 125 which works great. I didn't purge all the air out of it during my test runs and no air was seen in the turbine line. However, I made sure that the UAT had no air before flight. I am using RC Jetwerx batteries two 2200mAh 2 cell and one 3300mAh radio electronics, 3 cell pack for the turbine and 2150mAh for retracts and brakes. Even with everything up front you need to add some nose weight to balance. I would recommend using a 5000mAh 3 cell turbine pack that would help get more weight up front.

    I just rescued my TB47 thanks to the harness showed in the video and to Rich’s advice. My battery had a defective cell, I could charge it up to 30-40%, it would last for 4-5 min. up in the air. Rich’s harness allowed me to balance the cells. It is basically the only way to rescue it by levelling the charge gaps. Flying with a battery which is not 100% is just too dangerous.

    • @RichJ53
      @RichJ53 4 роки тому

      Hi Aaron. Thank you for the kind words. Please keep In mind that LiPo batteries don’t like be under the 3.3v per cell or low charge for long periods of time. This and other factors can damage the battery beyond repair however each case should be considered fully. As the internal resistance increases it becomes less likely to accept a full charge. At that point you need to decide if the battery can be fixed. Send me a PM on the DJI forum and I will try to help. I do not have a wiring diagram available at this time. The balance socket can be soldered to a std balance cable such as my video. You can use a volt meter to find the polarity. Take a lot of care for safety reasons. :)

You do need to have some basic understanding of the LiPo battery chargers and how to use them for safety reasons. This is a good way to fix or manage batteries that still have good cells. This will not really help you with batteries that have been sitting around with zero power or dead cells. Hope this helps youRich
