The backing vocals are too low in the mix. Lead vocal too loud. The guitars, mandolin and piano are a bit washed out by the reverbs and delays. A/B it with the original mix. Just my two cents.

Your melodyne harmonies sound good. Maybe it’s the verb. Did you play with the formants? I make them as vocal guides but if I don’t record them, I can hear the correction through the mix. Could also be Jay’s great tone you started with.

What is the thing on your computer called

Actually your video makes me think about that I want to give up on all those amp sims for a while. My workflow is a mess and I tend to play around too much in the DAW. Before all that I used to drive to my practicing space where I have a Marshall that creates the sound I like. I put a SM58 in front of it, a few of my EQ settings, compressor presets etc. and that is enough, I get the tone that I like… I would love to have the flexibility of having 100 amps in my DAW but TBH I‘d trade 99 amps for one amp and therefore getting my creativity out there and my songs recorded ASAP.
