"this is how i created this shot in 20 different programs"
О! У меня тоже есть это голем, получил при раздачи, вот за что я люблю epic games
Amazing tutorial
Thank you!!
This is awesome! The only thing is the chains are a bit too straight for me, but don´t get me wrong I couldnt do it this good ist looks awsome you have a sub more!
Yeah I totally agree. Looking back, I should have made them kinda hang a bit more but thank you so much!
Did you just colorgraded a png sequence? A PNG sequence not an EXR sequence??? omg...
Yep! Is EXR better?
Wow some serious good shit
Thank you so much!!
"Here's how I did this thing in UE5 with no 3d modelling whatsoever --so first I downloaded assets that were 3d modelled by someone else"
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!
AWESOME DUDEEE ! SERIOUSLY AMAZING 🙏
Thank you so much!!
I like when people are just getting in free epic month or buying asset pack, doing some things with directional light, setting camera and puting some assets around without even an composition and thinking that they are doing something smart and useful xD
Well at least my bro tried tho
Love your videos man! Wish you made more but im sure you have a busy life haha. Would love to learn more from you
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Life has been busy lately but I’m planning on posting some more videos soon!
Oh good. I thought it was going to be complicated.
Right? 😆
this is great ! i still have trouble with lighting but u made it look so nice
Awesome
Thank you!
Are you allowed to color grade outside of unreal without a special license from unreal?also what are your pc specs. I have 32 gigs of ddr4, 4070 super, and 5700x. My computer still struggles a lot
Does it make it better color grading the PNG sequence rather than exporting the video straight from unreal?
Hmm personally I find that when I export as a png sequence, the render looks more like it did in the viewport. When I export it as a video, it always looks kinda off
@@RyanWagget thank you!
Render Time ?
Rendering this took forever but I don’t think I fully optimized it tbh haha. Probably more than 10 hours
Nice tutorial...and while I know some of that stuff, there's a lot of new things I learned. But can you answer this question? How do I make sure the final renders look like what I see in the viewport? They always come out darker. How can I maintain parity between what I see while I'm working and what the rendered PNG looks like? Could it have something to do with post process volume? I can't figure it out.
Thank you! And yes, this is always a struggle haha. I find exporting as a PNG sequence seems to be the closest I can get to what you see in the viewport. Other than that, you could always colour grade the final png sequence afterwards OR use a post process volume to kinda compensate for how the rendering effects the image. You could even make a custom CLUT and then always plug that into the post process volume to make sure all of your projects render accurately
1st step :- davinci go to color management setting 2nd :- in input lookup table set linear to srgb and save
u had me checked on everything untill you mentioned "Dav Res" like if was nothing and the simplest step. lost me there lol
Haha tbh you don’t need Davinci Resolve to colour grade. You could forsure do it within Unreal Engine using a PostProcess Volume!
Simulate your chains !
You’re totally right, I should have!
Can I please know when you need to model in blender, then why dont you animate in blender, is there any reason for animating in unreal Engine
ooooooh
Keep up the hard work man, I’m trying to learn something from you and your videos actually helping me a lot to improve more
Thank you, man! I really appreciate the kind words. I’m glad you’ve been able to find the videos useful!!
It’s impressive
Thank you!
Hey man! Your channel is seriously something special, so many helpful and interesting tutorials and you deliver all the information so well. Thanks for being awesome, I just subbed and I'm looking forward to more work!
Thanks man, this is a really kind comment! I really appreciate that!
dude you're so good. immediately subscribed
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
You are obviously an expert who just happened to do this one day. Can take years to do this.
Nope, not at all! I appreciate the compliment though haha. I only started using Unreal Engine a year ago and this is the 2nd cinematic i’ve ever made!
@@RyanWagget Impressive. I want to find the time to learn this. I wonder how long it would take for you to make a short flic?
I love these tutorials but I hate how you don't show the final color graded render at the end 😂 looking forward to your next videos
Haha the final colour graded render is at the very beginning! Thank you, I really appreciate the compliment!
jpeg sequence?? WHAT HEPPENED TO PNG AND EXR
Do you think PNG and EXR are better? And whys that?
@RyanWagget not completely sure but I think exr gives more data in davinci resolve for you to work with
Make wraith his own videogame
Okay i’ll call it “Black Myth: Wraith”
Only 15 likes?????? Man you deserve way more
Haha thank you, I appreciate the compliment!
Just keep saying ur funny spells magic man bc i don’t understand anything u just said but the animation looks cool😂
LOL yeah its a bit tough to put so much info in a 1min video. Thank you, I appreciate the compliment!!
I thought it was gonna be 2 steps Boy was i wrong
Hahaha I divided it into 9 main steps but tbh in reality theres probably like 400 small steps
Hey man, great tutorial! Just wondering: any particular reason why you're rendering the sequence in JPG and not as an AVI? Is there a difference in output quality?
Hey! Thank you! I’ve been rendering in JPG sequences because I found AVI, MP4, etc very slightly change the output. I find they make the video look more washed out with less contrast and less vibrant colours! Do you find anything similar happens when you render your stuff out?
@@RyanWagget that's interesting! I've experienced a bit of artifacting when rendering low light sequences in AVI format. And sometimes the lighting doesn't quite match the real time preview. I'll give JPG rendering a go, thanks!
@@ARQYN happy I could help! Good luck!!
Where can i get the sky sphere?
If you buy the same pack I used, it will come with a sky sphere! BUT you can also make one really easily by yourself. Its just a sphere with an edited material. Theres probably some quick tutorials on UA-cam on how to do this
Please make a tutorial for compositing
Okay! I’ll look into doing this for my next project and I’ll post a tutorial on it! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
I have a question: can we make 'fern, Neo'-like documentary-style animations on Unreal Engine? No one can do this. I need a tutorial for this. Please make a tutorial on this.
Hey! Just looked into this! Do you mean that animated mannequin-like look? Like when the characters are all white and theres minimal details to the scene? Feel free to dm me a pic on Instagram if you’d like as well!
I used ai instead that made it Unbelivably faster than orthodox way. But theres no satisfaction as an artist
I totally agree! You also have much less control over the final product as well
Love how your tutorial goes straight to the point, skipped all the bs, I dislike how other content creators try to oversell the like and subscribe. Pure value video.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! This is 100% my goal when making videos so it feels really great to read that!
@@RyanWagget keep up the great work, your videos are gold.
Making my own immediately 🤓
Good luck!!
Very early for this! Thank you for sharing all your process !!
Thanks man, I appreciate the comment! I’m glad you found this useful!
Is there a free alternative for Substance painter?
You can also texture things in Blender!
@@RyanWagget thank you!
no UE video should start without mentioning specs of the system used
Good idea! Will include the specs in my next video!
I summon you! Thousand-eyes restrict!
LOL huh?
Man managed to put into 1 minute what some fail in 1 hour. Legend. :)
Haha thank you, I appreciate the compliment!
@@TKBarnes because he bought it all
Hi bro
Hi!
Nice work
Thank you!
This was so info-packed, well done. I wish all tutorials were this fluff-free.
Thank you, I really appreciate the compliment!!
What I don't understand is why you build the chain with so my geometry and texel resolution? For your usage/result wouldn't it not be better to just model one element and create an array with bleuprints? Nice render though ;)
Ohh thats a good point, I didn’t even think of that. Thanks for the advice, will forsure keep that in mind for next time!!
That's not really creating. that's just placing 3D assets together that took days or weeks to make
they created the cinematic from premade assets. Pretty sure it took longer than the short makes it out to seem, but even then there's a reason people are hired that actually know how those scenes all go together.
