Yellow Jacket Basement Apocalypse 40hr Update
This is a follow-up video of the yellow jacket basement intrusion after being hit with Bayer Delta Dust, a Central Nervous System (CNS) poison that causes paralysis in a lot of insects. Video is showcasing two different application sites, one ground tunnel by my gazebo and pond, and the other against my house with their "tunnel" leading into my basement.
First video: ua-cam.com/video/tNjUyKsrLfY/v-deo.html
I bought the insecticide powder on Amazon (not an affiliate link): www.amazon.com/Delta-Dust-Multi-Control-Insecticide/dp/B002Y6B4A8

    Thanks for the update. I've been watching since you were doing brake pad changes on your little rebel 250. It was probably around the time I started riding myself. It's good to hear from you. I'm in South Florida (my wife won't budge on that, but let's just say I'd rather be anywhere else). I haven't been riding since i moved down here from New Hampshire about 6 years ago, but I'm planning to get a dual sport as soon as i can. For safety and all that I'm going to tow it in my truck to the riding sites and keep it exclusively off road. It's hard to fit riding in now that i have a wife, two kids under 2, and a house all while still going to college at night and working full time. Time flies, but I just can't let it go. I think about riding pretty much every day. Anyway, i hope things are going well. Post another update when you get a chance.

    Im about to include a shoutout to you on my channel. You got me wanting to do YT content way back on your Honda Rebel Content in 2007. Just wanted to drop a line to ya and say thank you for being one of the original YT creators (2007) that got me interested in making content. Even though mine is kinda crappy 😆

      Thank you for letting me know how you were inspired to start doing content creation based on my channel, that's super exciting! I'll have to check out your content. Regarding you thinking your content is "kinda crappy", just remember that all of this stuff is a skill, just like riding a bike is a skill. Practice makes perfect. Don't worry if people will like it or not because with the internet as your audience, there's always going to be people who find what you put together interesting. Cheers!

    I understand the company value situation. I have ideas to revolutionise the company I work for but they want the idea and don't want to talk numbers so I'll keep them to myself. I also can't progress far into my company so I'm now looking to create my own or find another avenue. I think I need to take a "piece of paper" course so I can get into the same field of business development. Indeed, times are tough but glad to hear from you again 😁 That first flight book - is that just the one on how to use the wipers? 😅 I do know a pilot but his time is tied up to every minute of the day with his schedule. Happy to see any content you put out, good luck with your journey! 👍

    This is what happens when you stop ridding a rebel 250, everything goes down hill…..😘😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good to see you post another video. Too bad your wife couldn’t get a job in Southern California, we have a lot of places to ride. Don’t get discouraged, you’ll find a place that you’ll fit in. Your dog is beautiful. I do miss the Rebel 250 at times, such a great little machine and a lot of fun. There's a very real chance one of these days in the near future that I could end up traveling to LA or San Diego areas for business. Where in Southern California are you at?

    How are you doing these days? It's been a while. Hope to hear an update from you even if it's not motorcycle related. I haven't been riding myself, I got married, and I have a house. Things change. Still, there are lurkers out there wondering how you're doing. I found your original rebel videos back when I first learned about motorcycles and how to ride many years ago. Somehow you're linked to that nostalgia.

      I just got my other eye done earlier this year and did a touch up last month. Let me know how your procedure goes and how you're doing! The first few days after can be brutal with light sensitivity, so I'd recommend picking up a sleep mask you can put over your eyes or you can get some great sunglasses to wear to block out a lot of light if you're still wanting to run around and function. Getting a lot of rest will help speed up healing in the beginning too and you avoid some of the pain issues. Also, grab a bottle of vitamin C, like 500mg tablets, and start taking 1,000mg in the morning, and another 1,000mg at night. That seemed to have helped me a lot this go around with haziness, so if you can get a jump on it early, might speed you up. :)

    Have ridden close to 60,000MI on the NC700X and on the road I have never needed to use the tool kit(mine is just like yours). you will find a flat tip on the other end of the phillips driver and the plastic thingy is the fuse puller, which you will find forward of the battery. The only glitch I ever had was when riding home after buying the second NC in Denver, the instrument backlight went dark a few times. The bike had been sitting for a couple of years and had a dead battery. All works fine now after 2 years and 32000MI. The best thing about this bike is many people have bought them hoping they were some kind of powerhouse of a bike, only to find a low revving, quiet high saddled bike that none of their HD friends would respect. Now those bikes are coming out of the back of the shed and hitting craigslist at under 4 grand. some having less than 5000MI. Hallelujah.

    mines was able to go 85 (according to the speedometer which is off by like 5) when I changed the rear sprocket to a 30 tooth. i lost a decent amount of acceleration but I got better top end and slightly better mpg. Granted I had to duck and tuck my legs onto the passenger pegs to be more aerodynamic but it works.

    2 separate procedures spaced out per eye?? That’s crazier to me than going in and doing both at once. Just take a week or 2 off if possible. I’m on day 14 of PRK recovery and I couldn’t imagine going through it again. That just makes the wait time longer and it would not make driving any less difficult. I was able to start driving again by day 4 , granted I was not as comfortable or confident as normal but as long as I’m only driving during the day when its necessary and in places I’m familiar with it’s all good.

    • @Skel3tor1
      @Skel3tor1 6 років тому

      Unfortunately, for me, trying to get 2 weeks off of work was a problem being the only one in the center who could do my respective job (training existing employees and new hires). I still needed to be able to come in to work and function (looking at computer screen for development for many hours a day and/or utilizing projected media and white boards in the classroom). Plus, there is the question of my eyes being very poor that it was questionable on how well the procedure would work. The Doctor had already planned on me needing to have my eyes corrected post the initial procedure to fine tune my vision. I don't know what your prescription is for contact lenses, but at the time, I was -9.00 in both eyes. If I would not have been able to use corrective lenses for my vision, I'd be classified as legally blind. Does my method of one eye at a time work for everyone? Certainly not, but it was the best for me given my situation and I was happy that my doctor was willing to go along with it.

    I enjoy your videos and have been seriously considering this bike. My apprehension is power. As we all know by now, every happy owner of this popular machine talks about the need to shift short out of 1st. My question to you is; do you feel that this bike has a lot less power than the Vulcan 750 or does it have more to do with shifting and staying in the power band??

    • @imaginecraft5439
      @imaginecraft5439 7 років тому

      Hi Thomas! Thanks for writing in and posing a question to me. I can indeed confirm that the NC700X is not going to be your hold on to your seat while your ass puckers up because you're about to fall off the back when you roll on the throttle. Bikes that gave me that effect when riding was the Honda Magna. The vulcan also would have a lot of get up and go, but not as much as a Magna. The NC700X is slower to accelerate and that was the design behind the fuel efficiency gains with the bike with having it to cruise along in a lower RPM band. This bike is not going to be one where you can just slam back on the throttle in 1st or 2nd gear and feel like you're going Mach 2 in a jet. :P. So, if you're looking for raw power and the ability to just take off like a rocket, then I'd pass up on the NC700X. It isn't going to be what you're looking for.
