For clarity, what I was trying to show was that the high readings on the long term and short term fuel trims (LTFT, STFT) means the PCM was throwing in more fuel to compensate for an air leak to maintain the proper fuel to air ratio (AFR). Both readings should be at zero or close to zero.

P0302 possible causes: Bad spark plugs, wires or coil • Bad fuel pump, relay, injectors or fuel filter • Major vacuum leak • EGR valve stuck open or clogged EGR ports P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire causing rough idle, significant loss of power and hesitation. You don’t mind me asking what is the benefit of upgrading downpipe??
If you increase air going into your engine (intake, charge pipe etc) you also want to increase air leaving the engine with the downpipe that has the aftermarket cat.

Man why in the video along with other people I have seen they are overfilling the coolant reservoir in the ATS’ when there is a cold fill guide line on the side? Does it affect the engine by overfilling even by a little more in coolant reservoir?
we're following what the manual says which says top champer full, bottom chamber half full
@@rays-777 ok check the top coolant reservoir on the side there should be a cold fill guideline, if I’m not mistaken if it’s overfilled it can cause too much pressure build up from lack of space for coolant to expand and lead to rupture of hoses and or more complications. Make sure man
@@aacc3268 Thats how I fill the top chamber, to the line right below the neck which is "full" but if you overflow it and put the cap on all that will happen is the extra water will go into the bottom chamber and bleed out the side bleed hole which is what it was made for
The reason they scrub the part number is, because Hitachi although is the OEM, it can't sale its own parts as a GM distributor without paying royalties. So they erase the part numbers. Many other companies like Bosh or Lemforder do the same.

That kind of repair is beyond my knowledge but the best advice is to get rid of that ATS because bad pistons are a common issue for the ATS, they're not reliable. Some get lucky. I bet your air filter is wet from all that blow by. I sold my ATS but anyway sorry and good luck.

Key things : With the factory intercooler in place, there is no way the radiator is lifting out like that. The bottom flange is wider than the intercooler hoses. I'm at that point now. There are 2 bolts holding the intercooler to the radiator. There is a bunch of plastic pieces that are already gone on his car. This is way more difficult in factory trim.
You have to detach both the condensor and the intercooler but you have to remove that black plastic trim before the intercooler can lift up. Then you can remove the radiator.
@@rays-777I’m having this issue, I have intercooler, plus another i guess cooler behind that? I have a 2013 ATS 2.0. So i have a radiator, then the intercooler that you have, plus behind that another slim cooler! Now even sure what that is

Did you get that single bottom bolt of the intake manifold from the top of the engine, or underneath?
man that one was real tough to get to but I had a friend with longer and skinnier arms take care of that part I didn't have the patience and if my memory serves me right he got it from under but it took good minute.
Maybe use the box end of the wrench when dealing with manifold nuts and bolts that way you dont round the edges.

I have a 2018 Premium Luxury, one step down from this one. Harsh Ride, but that is expected with those 20" Wheels. 18" are better, but 15s would help give it a Cadillac Ride, as well as look less Ridiculous. Hopefully the Engine, being a 3.6, doesn't need yearly Timing Chain replacements(updated design with 2 even longer Chains, instead of 3 shorter ones, so I am not holding my Breath). I have completely disabled the Very Annoying Auto Stop, and have removed most of the OnStar Electronics. I figure the cost of the Gas, used without the Auto Stop is Much Less than New Starters, Batteries, and eventually the Flexplate, will cost to replace. It does get very good Gas Mileage, even with the Auto Stop disabled, better than my STS with the same size engine. The Voice Command thing is Flaky, and having the Music System interacted with using a Screen, is far more Dangerous than Control Knobs. I don't drive it in the Winter, for fear of Body Rot from Salt(I have my RWD with Posi, 94 Roadmaster for Winter), so the Heated Seats and Steering wheel, don't matter, but the Vented Seats are Nice, actually a Deal Breaker being the Seats are Leather, moderately comfortable, but far from the Comfort Cadillac had in the 70s and early 80s

Man this edit made me cry bruh, i can really relate to this cuz me and my crush used to be just close childhood friends, we both didnt know we liked each other more than friends, until the right timing came, we were too young and we didnt know how to express our feelings to each other and thought it might destroy our friendhsip, but here we are now.
I have a 2015 ATS and have the same problem, thank you so much for this video. I was also worried about the transmission oil lines if i would have to drain the oil first or not, but this settles it. the ZZP rad looks to be all aluminum so that should eliminate any weak points of leaking in the future. Also, the little Y pipe coming out of the surge tank is plastic and also prone to leaking, i was able to find a metal after market one, and replaced the squeeze clamps with regular hose clamps and cranked those down good. I can't believe the amount of garbage plastic parts that GM has put on these cars

Finally got around to doing mine. When you were filling it with coolant, did you have the car on or off? I turned mine on and then it boiled over so now there's coolant all over the place. So I assume yours is off, and its going down as you're pouring.
u need to have it on so the thermostat can open and keep pouring till it stops sinking. the manual instructions are in the description.
@@rays-777 I figured it had to be on after I messed up, poured a lot in, let it sink in and then turned the car on. It boiled out all over the place. Lesson learned. I turned the car on, put the heat on full blast and let it sit for like 20 minutes before driving it. It is still overheating. I changed the thermostat, inlet reservoir hose and serpentine belt. I think there's air in the system. Not sure how to bleed it out without a radiator cap. I ordered a water pump, and new fan...So hopefully the overheating is coming from one of those things. If not then i guess i'll have someone look at it :(
@@nick_jacob In my opinion the whole engine setup for the ats is real bad and very high maintenance with cheap parts I would never buy an ats again. a lot of common issues with the radiator, inlet hose, pistons and my que touch screen went out b4 I sold it. Maybe check the air fuel mix or spark plugs showing u running to hot. Good luck my friend.

@prestonsperti5720 man it's a lot of work but that while screen/door has to be replaced and u might find a replacement on amazon otherwise that thing is cooked. Good luck bud!

I am replacing my radiator on my ATS, do I fill it the same way? Do I need to bleed the system? Other vehicles I have had I had to bleed it, otherwise it would overheat.
U just need to run the engine after topping it off, get it warm, heater on high, keep topping it until it stops running low. Also, the manual instructions is copied and pasted on the description.

Do you need to bleed the system? Is there some type of bleeder screw on these or do you just fill and go?
Just make sure U fire her up to operating temp so the thermostat can open up and run the water all the way through.. When the water goes down, fill it up till it stops and your good. I copied and past the manual instructions on the descrip as well.

You need to check the low side fuel pressure using a mechanical gauge and compare it to the LOW side fuel pressure sensor data pid, if the pressure sensor is reading higher then actual then the computer will try and lower the pressure causing the engine to run lean and trims to go positive. take note that the pressure sensor will be about 14 psi off due to atmospheric pressure being calculated to the ECM and will not see on the mechanical gauge, but anything more then that would be a problem with the low side fuel pressure sensor stuck or fixed high tricking the computer to lower fuel pump speed to drop pressure. Good luck
