I didn't realize I recognized this until I saw the in game view and the falling rocks. 😂 Best LOTR game from the 2000s is the two towers game for the GameCube by far. Oh the memories. Props to the Player who plays Kasper. I appericate when players & GM stick to their guns and let bad things happen without meta. The world is much more immersive & tension feels more real when anything can happen. That's great storytelling. Bravo. Edit: mispelling

Honestly I prefer when it's a targeted attack, if you only roll between the crit options for that area. I've always hated the random hit of a leg critting the head. Or the other option is for a random attach, don't roll location until you resolve the contested roll and you just use the 2d6 crit for the location of the attack

Just on the recovery action outside of combat- I much prefer the rule in the easy mode rules which makes stamina recover rec per hour, or half as much if doing something active. Allowing access to the recovery action outside of combat- combo'd with any healing spells makes damage and stamina use in combat meaningless over the course of a day. It just leaves critical wounds, curses and sickness as the only long term difficulties the party faces. It changes the tone of the game from a more grounded system to one which is more heroic, especially since all spells and abilities are unlimited use within the confines of stamina in a single combat.

Blessing of healing is an active spell compared to magical healing which is rolled duration. (Magical healing is overpowered as fuck)
