      I agree. I'm not normally one to film during a concert because I want to be present during the concert experience. But, when Matt said that they were about to play Stockholm Syndrome I just immediately grabbed my phone and started filming, lol. I didn't expect them to play that one and something inside of me propelled me to capture it on video. They closed out the night with Knights of Cydonia and it was a killer performance. I wish I had filmed it as well, but I was too caught up in the show. It was an awesome show, glad I got to see them again and in my favorite city at that.

    Awesome build dude. I'm currently making my custom baked maple neck with SS frets, did you have to do a fret level of any kind?

    • @bentoncox
      @bentoncox 3 роки тому

      I didn't, and I don't plan to. I've had a couple of guitar buddies play it and they've never mentioned anything about the frets and they've really enjoyed playing it. I know there are a lot of people online who claim that a fret level is necessary, but I personally have not found that to be the case. I have even played other friend's warmoths and they never leveled their frets and those guitars played very well. Maybe a fret level will make it play even more better lol. But, I personally haven't found it necessary.

    Hi Benton. My wife is a nurse and they are getting almost overwhelmed at the hospital with young people coming in who can't breathe from Vaping. Vaping does permanent damage to your "alveolus" which are responsible for the gaseous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in your lungs and bloodstream. You need them to breathe and live. Once those sacs are damaged they are not fixable or repairable. These people are being put on a list for lung transplants. If there's anyone in your life you care about or just care about yourself. Please STOP Vaping my brother.

    2 power supplies? I'm new to guitar but that seems like overkill. Is there a specific reason for this?

    • @bentoncox
      @bentoncox 4 роки тому

      I own more pedals than is shown in this vid and I switch them out periodically. I have two pedals that run off of 18v and each supply only has 1 18v connection, so if I ever setup my board with both of those pedals then I need the two 18v connections. Plus, if I ever decide to build a bigger board I’m already sitting pretty good on power. Not all pedals run off of 9v. Some run off of 12v and some 18v (you also have positive and negative polarity to deal with...) , so depending on what type of power all of your pedals run off of, you have to buy power to accommodate your pedals...

    • @mariobernaljr.3433
      @mariobernaljr.3433 4 роки тому

      Benton Cox cool, I get that. But if couldn't you use a daisy chain to connect some analog pedals since they require lower mA? That way you can free up more outputs? Seems like a lot of your pedals are analog. Just wondering, thanks

    • @CensorWars
      @CensorWars 3 роки тому

      @@mariobernaljr.3433 He can do that but he is limited with 18v connections so he needs two power supplies just for the 18v, and since he has the extra plug because of the two supplies, he can just plug everything in straight up

    Was it the 1 5/8” nut? I want to leap.....any difference in tone as compared to flat sawn non-baked maple? Do you lose warmth and gain definition? Does it it feel slinkier with out the string trees? Looks like a sweet build.

    • @bentoncox
      @bentoncox 4 роки тому

      I got the 1 11/16' nut. As far as tone is concerned I really don't know. I do know that all parts considered I really love the sound of the guitar (the vids don't do it justice, I'm still learning to get a recorded guitar sound that I am happy with, in this particular video I have the amp pretty close to the camera's Rhode mic). If I'm being honest, I mainly chose a roasted maple neck so I wouldn't need a finish, and looks were a secondary consideration. I really didn't consider the tonal qualities for this particular purchase. And if you had not of asked, I probably would never have thought about it, but now that you mention it, yeah, I'd say that it does seem a bit slinkier without the string trees, lol. If you haven't ran across it yet, check out Lucas Fowler's vid on the warmoth roasted maple necks.
