@RuthMckeaney- and fellow followers: Try pineapple wrapped in bacon. Roll the fresh pineapple chunk in brown sugar, then 1/2 piece of bacon, wrap and hold with toothpick, bake for 25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. DElicious~

Have you ever sprinkled salt on these when they come out of the fryer, a little salt would maybe enhance the taste?

Gosh, this episode was so full of nostalgia for me. I'm 81, still love to cook and entertain, and remember making these hors d'oeurves as far back as the late 60's/early 70's! The bacon-wrapped dates are speaking to me as I have a few family members and friends who are gluten intolerant. Their restrictive diet can be frustrating, and the dates are a great option. Happy Holidays to all.🎄

This became an instant family favorite.

It drives me crazy to that they are not using a spatula when they transferring the food in the serving bowl to get all the goodness out.

I always clean the batter whisk with my fingers way better than leaving half the batter on.
