Something I noticed is how Dokutah's inner conflicts were presented during his dialogues. Black text with white background (represented the responsibility of Dokutah towards his own kind and civilization) White text with black background (represented Dokutah's hope for the new life on terra)

I know I'm late but I'm interested in your thoughts on the fact that when Doctor woke up PRTS searched for signal in various locations, one of which being Caerula Arbor - the same name that is used for IS#3. Since as we learned Originium was supposed to preserve life and somehow unify? doctor's race once again is it possible that Seaborns are the aftereffect of this or am I overlooking something important?

I wish they would make a concise version of the story where dialogs are cut in half by cutting unimportant fillers and unnecessary conversation. not a fan of reading 10k words per stages. otherwise, world threats entice me the most. i wish when they finally conclude some aspects of the main story they would shift their focus on these threats

One of the saddest parts of this event was how Theresa recognized and knew the names of all the assassins that were attacking her. They all used to be her close friends and colleagues

Its hard to even ciritcize the Doctor. Him and his ancient humans were apparently running away from.....SOMETHING out in space so terrifying that they invented originium as a way to convert all sentient life into a giant hive mind that will be able to survive any threat or catastrophe. He was doing what he thought could preserve life the best way possible.

She is not a donkey , she is a Cautus " Cautuses have the traits of leporids (rabbits and hares), which can be seen from the shape of their ears. They do have tails, which is largely unnoticeable due to the short length. They are often nicknamed "rabbit " .

Still want to know what that Theresa-shaped thing is that's following Theresis around in the present-day. It doesn't act like her, but it sure looks like her.

This event undoes all the work HG has put in to humanize the Sarkaz nation and make them a little sympathetic. Turns out the Sarkaz could have stopped suffering any time they wanted, and everything wrong with Kazdel is their fault. One of their own thinks they should have health care and education. So they kill her. Look away, Amiya, I'm going to do a genocide.

I am in the medical field and currently having my time consumed with all the hospital work. I have been playing Arknights since it was released 4-5 years ago, but recently I’m having trouble reading the event stories because the writing of some events are really such an exposition which takes too much time. I knew Babel would be THE event, and I patiently waited for a content creator who would relay the story in a medium that would be perfect given my time constraints. I was not expecting you. Thank you, my good sir, for this video. I hope you will continue to make AK content especially expositions on its lore. Will subscribe.

I just finished reading Babel last night so im glad i was finally able to watch your recap. Thanks a bunch for this video, it was nice being able to get a summary of the event after getting so much lore revealed in the event.

Is chapter 14 going to be an upcoming event, or added along to the main story? I'm only on chapter 6 and don't want to rush the story. Any insight would be appreciated!

9:26 on that note, Ascalon being a background character of her own story also feels very on the nose since she's always in the background protecting Amiya and the doctor. I liked it.

The Doctor had to choose between untold billions of people who all worked, sacrificed and died towards the originium goal ; or the small group of people he just met. The weight of that choice. The choice to be selfish and cast aside the BILLIONS of lives that all rely on you being the last one to finish the project. It couldn't have been an easy choice.

this one's probably my favorite of the summer events. it's definitely lighthearted, but also quite heartfelt. that bit at the end where eyjafjalla writes a letter to her parents really made me tear up :,)

hypergraph gotta be the best cook I have ever seen when it comes to world building. Goddamn can't wait for endfield and all the mysteries it will show us in the future.

Now i can understand why telescope was used in the 4th concept trailer instead of the headbanging ones they used before. The future of arknights feels like its building up for hope rather than war. Like the beginning of the end.

I can't even begin to explain what i feel about this event. Calling it cinema feels so little now for how much I've said it in this game. I need to find a phrase stronger for upcoming events they'll cook

Those who think Dokutah is evil misunderstood the story. They are a mastermind from a civilization that literally transcended mortality. They should have not cared, yet, they care. Dokutah has proven to be caring and kind-hearted, and Theresa saw it. Eracing their memory is not vengeance but an act of compassion: she saw Dokutah's care conflicting with the memories of their lost civilization's vision of future, she saw the struggle that keeps them down. Without that horrible memory, Dokutah can focus on the things they care about, on Amiya, on helping the Infected... Like in one of my favourite songs: 'Don't take for granted those little things. Those little things are all that we have'. Damn, I'm cutting onions again(

stories like this makes me appreciate the "normal" characters in the story normal being, living their own life, free from the suffering and depression

Don't let this stop you from reading the whole story. This one is disturbing to say the least. But it's one that's so important pillar that hold up the whole story.

We were... the bad guy. The one who can't let go of their identity. The proud one. just like Sarkaz of Theresis.

Event summary: Are we the baddies?

It materialized, Odda was asked if he would try to kill a person who killed his father, he said no. And Ascalon even told him about this "killer" but he still say no. He's a babel operator who will try to cut tie of the circle of hatred. As "Hoederer" stated in the main story. The successor doesn't have to be the one that was put on the crown but the one who inherit her ideal and expand it. [he was talking to W] Odda is also that part of the successors of Theresa He would stand on the ideal so they have better future. He would fight the hatred and deny it to consume him. The price that he would pay to get his revenge or die trying is not worth betraying his whole life and legacy of Theresa. I think it's powerful but I have a context of the main story. He was a next generation that Theresa hope Sakraz would be and... yeah... he's what Theresa imagined. I don't think you should undersell the inaction of not taking a revenge on whoever killed his dad. The theme it self is Hoederer theme song. Hate spread like cancer.

Honestly, top 3 best stories in Arknights all around. Granted, that's not a high bar to clear in my book as I've been overly critical of pretty much everything HG has ever done with this game, but Babel truly stands out as a one in a lifetime wonder. Oh, it still has its share of issues and it's arguably long overdue but still, this is what peak Arknights looks like and the last time that happened was 3 years ago when Twilight of Wolumonde and Children of Ursus released. So yeah, I've waited a long time to relive that kind of experience. Read Babel, it's well worth your time.

Since AK already made an anime... It isn't impossible for this to be adapted as "Special OVA"... or something similar to an animated movie. W already got one.

This event should literally be made into a movie.

Babel event itself is good but if you have followed Arknights story or at least main story and intermezzo story it become peak. Even the word just being mentioned and they don't even explained it like, Caerula Arbor, Talos2, Stargate, Oracle. It makes you excited. Not only the story event itself but it's also fun to watch a streamer reading the story or video content related to it. I think that's a big plus when you follow the story because you get more excitement. Reading Arknights story is a commitment but for a long run it's worth it because it feels like you keep eating good.
