I hope the person that was hit by a bus survived. It is a very busy road near buchanan bus station. Years ago in maxwell street a pedestrian was knocked down at the junction with argyle street. The buses were diverted away from that area due to a one way system by glasgow city councillors. It was a safety issue.

2/2 to a PhD. Guys like Ian have resilience, determination, ambition energy and drive, all attributes any employer would look for in an employee. The difference lies in available opportunity’s, or rather, the lack of, faced by the lower rung of society. If only we as a society could utilise this untapped resource of people who are choc full of those attributes already mentioned as opposed to writing them off as wasters. In my opinion the saddest fact about this is that innumerable people go through there lives totally unaware of their intellect and potential. Ian is frustrated with his past life and the opportunities he missed or was not given. He knows he has so much to offer society and that is a heavy burden on him, it’s the cross he bares for being born in a certain place at a certain time. I say-God speed to you Ian MacDonald.
