I adapt to the space - I’ve had a big, airy contemporary style house that I decorated in the minimalist style Then I moved into a smaller, tropical design house that had a calming white palette which allowed me to ramp up collectibles. Now I’m in a studio that reminds me of this lovely NYC apartment - zones, functional pieces, particularly storage, and gorgeous collectibles that say ‘me’ and add warmth and welcome to my space. I’ve learnt to live compatibly with whatever space I have at the time. NYC apartments can be inspirational. I love this apartment💗

Moving into a New house soon and will ABSOLUTELY be incorporating this idea into an exact office/music room of my own - brilliant look ❤

To cover the silver hinge hardware... I have used paint markers and metalic Sharpie markers. Since the hinges won't be touched often, such as with a knob, the marker color should stay and not wear off. It has worked for me!

Gorgeous. I've morphed Billys into a few things myself -- yours look spectacular. Question! Your wall sconces have what looks like a metal rod concealing the cord, and I've always looked for something like that. Did they come with your sconces or did you somehow cut up aluminum tubing to get that clean covered look? Dying to know, I have rooms full of lights I need to do this to. Hate cords, am scared to hardwire (old house)

Why would you not drill a hole to get the jigsaw started instead of cutting into the board…?

Wow, i could have done it by diamond grinding the existing then applying a cement based coating that would be sloped to drain the rain water off nd provide a nice new surface saving you a lot of money

Great tips thanks. I use Thread Up to sell some items, it is the maximum level of work I can handle (no pictures, etc.) right now. I donate the majority of items. This is really a process that keeps evolving. I have the most difficult time with the 'just in case' items. I can't seem to let go of items I really like, haven't worn in a couple of years, but may someday. Do you have any tips for dealing with those items?

I agree! 3/4 sleeve shirts are not good! It makes me either cold or hot, but never perfect.
