WEATHERBY MARK V LIVE WILD 4K
Unboxing, set up and validation out to 900 meters with the Weatherby Mark V Live Wild, chambered in 300PRC.
This new firearm caught my eye, with the combination of Weatherbys firearms expertise and Remi Warrens vast experience as a professional hunter and guide, it's safe to say the Weatherby Mark V Live Wild ticks a lot of boxes.

What are the torque specs for the Pitney base?
@@LukeFloyd-x6s 25 Inch-Pound with lock tight
I didn’t know UA-cam allowed 🟧⬛️ videos on here
How tall is the scope rings, I just ordered the mark 5 backcountry 2.0 in 300 prc
Great video. Does zero tech offer custom turrets?
@@gutpilemaker365 Thank you, no I don’t believe they do. Just tactical or capped turrets in Mil or Moa.
I must have bought the one made on Monday acruin tried to load 2 shells at once, muzzle break threads were messed up and itcwasnt rhat accurate
I've had mine for 3 months chambered in .243 and absolutely love it. Also have the zerotech thrive 4-16x50 and very happy with the clarity. Can't go wrong.
@@Trent-r7u Great combination!!
Such a nice rifle
Why would you buy a weatherby in a non weatherby caliber???? The 300 weatherby mag would have been much better. Weatherby is the best. Haha.
@@BarryBaker-bx2qe It was a toss up between the two and I already had the loading gear for the PRC.
@Verifiedlongrange makes sense. Just curious.
Is the rifle barrel 26 inch + muzzel break, or is the barrel 26 inch + muzzel break?
@@CPM_1975 depends on the cartridge, the 300prc is close to 28” with the brake.
Thanks, I'm considering this rifle in 7PRC. Maybe 300PRC.
@ I have a mate considering the 7PRC, I’m hoping he gets one so I can take for a spin.
“One of the best hunters in the world” Has Remi Warren hunted the African Big 5?
The fella shoots deer with a bow and arrow using his mouth as a release , and is able to self film the whole thing. So I’m sure he could shoot a few massive animals with a scoped rifle and a guide 😂
Not stainless just cerakoted?
@@jeffreyhall838 Cerakote stainless I believe.
Regardless of hitting steel or game. The 300 prc doesn’t leave the shooter wondering if a hit was a hit.
I have this rifle in 280 Ackley Improved and like it so far, it so light. I bet your rifle kicks like a mule on crack.
280 would be a nice cartridge, I was tempted on 7mm PRC. The recoil is more of a push the a sharp kick. It’s the nicest light weight 300 prc I’ve shot.
Thats a very nice set-up 👌
@@badennicholls Cheers Baden, we’ll have to take it for a spin next year!!
@Verifiedlongrange 👌
Bloody awesome mate. Im generally not a jealous guy but im damn jealous of this one bro. Im looking at this scope also would like to see a video just on this one too
😂 Thanks mate, yes she’s a beauty rifle! It’s a great optic I’ve played around with it on my 308 and now the 300PRC it’s a great simple long range optic.
Pls show us how to get Actual BC
Hi, I wanted to ask if it is possible to change the units of measurement from yards to meters, if so how? Thanks in advance
Is the red one specifically for rifles? Or is it for handguns too?
@@Killa91115 The limiter will work for any torque from 0-65 inch pound.
What kind of Scope you using ?
@@siddiquenadir44 The optic is a ZeroTech Trace 3-18x50.
Sweet gat son.
Hello I have problem with my Fury …. In 632 meters some data from fury and from Sterlok , fury give me 4.4 , strelok - 4.2 … and a hit with 4.2 I think have problem with temp-tabl …. I make many test and think this is the problem …? Can help me?
Awesome man what calibre. Love my defiance tenacity can't wait till i get my new zero tech
Thanks mate, it’s a 6mm Creedmoor
Sounds like 6mm
Excellent
Cheers mate
Your get there big man ? I hope you don’t treat you misses like that , slowly does it xx 😘
Great video thanks! Just got my roughtech couple days ago in .270win. How many rounds did you shoot before sighting for barrel break in. And at how many yards did you sight it ? Hope you can answer !
Thank you mate, I didn’t do any run in process just clean the rifle before shooting. I zero all my center fire rifles at 100m.
@@Verifiedlongrange thank you! Good luck !

Nice review and impressive shooting. Hope you have a great 2024
Not tuned correctly. With that arrow wobble
Definitely not, I also learned I had the vane the wrong way with the prone rest.
I think it's time to pick a different set of rings to shoot at.
This machine isn't a bow anymore.
I want to try this, got a couple of recurves but have no idea how to get into compound.
Not on my radar for $120. 💰
Nice shooting !
Beautiful
Nice...
Shoot a bit further out and it'd get more accurate, or multiple distances - bearing in mind that as your barrel fouls the bullets slow a bit.
Gday! Great video and good shooting. What is the optical quality of the glass like in these binos? Thanks Hamish in Poland
From Vortex customer service "Hello Errold, and thank you for reaching out to Vortex Optics! When using ballistics mode the range given will provide line of sight distance in either yards or meters, however, the ballistic solution provided factors inclination into account. Hope this clears up any confusion! " So yes it does I also verified this yesterday at 1150 yards
I appreciate the effort you have put into finding out the truth. I wish I received the same reply from vortex though there must have been a miss understanding. As this was my reply. “It will not compensate the angle for you, but it will display the incline angle. You would then put this information into the Fury HD app.” Also my previous test at 700 meters at 15 degrees and 0 degrees should no effect on my ballistics. Thank you Errold I will retest my binos as if they do account for incline then they are still well and truly the best value for money!!
@@Verifiedlongrange thanks for pinning this. When I first read their owners manual I came to the same conclusion as you.
Ok so i just go home from work and pull out my 5000ab Went to the end of the street and ranged a tree at 1083 yards set the inclination to 0 manually. The correction in the display was 26.2 Then i measured the exact same tree and distance set to 20 degrees correction came out to be 24.3. The fury HD 5000 ab most definitely measures and corrects for inclination
My bushnell from 2012 will do it so i definitely expected it. I just got mine and my heart sank when he said that
I have to correct you on something The HD 5000 ab does take angle into account into its corrections in bal mode. However the range it displays is Los. You can use the los range and the angle then input it into your favorite ballistics solver and check to see if your dope on both align. Pro trick If you have good data already you can use your favorite ballistics app to correct instead of shooting. Just go out somewhere you can get the correct recommended ranges then range. Enter the range, angle, temp and pressure data supplied by the binos into the solver and compare the two. Then enter the correction into the fury app. Walla done without firing a shot
Interesting, I wonder if they have updated anything. As before publishing this video I reached out to Vortex and they confirmed you need to use an exterior ballistic app to account for angle compensation.
@@Verifiedlongrange "The slope incline number can be entered into ballistic programs or field cards to help calculate precise bullet drop in mountainous terrain. This number is automatically calculated into the wind/drop solution provided in the display and in the app. See Ballistics Manual for more information about the ballistic information displayed." From the owners manual In bal mode it doesn't correct the Los for "ballistic range" however the dope it spits out is corrected. This way you know the true range and can confirm dope with a second solver. Doc with applied ballistics confirmed this with me.
The thing that bugs me is that there is no drop chart within the app. The 4000gb has nearly an identical app but has this feature. It would be nice so you do not have to actually range things over and over to confirm your dope aligns with previous data
Great video, thanks!
Thank you !
hand load?
Good review, just ordered some here in the UK 😊
Had total CRAP Results. And yes I know what to do and tuner on a rifle
VLR Productions it would be nice if you answered the questions below !
You know the real results once you test five shots per group.
Looks great but how does it shoot?
Thank you 😊
Hi Sam, good to see you again , what the best size tuner for .300win mag mate?
