Treasure in the Coral Ruins - Magi Nation #20
Following the height of Pokemon fever, Magi Nation came out in the early 2000s and was developed in the west, unlike many of its inspirations. Follow the 10-year old "chosen one" protagonist as he gets isekaied to a fantasy world where he must battle with Dream Creatures, collect gems, and save the world. He's sassy, and seems more motivated to get home than anything, but maybe, just maybe, he could be the one.

Night of the Necromancer - Super Pokemon Eevee Edition #28
For people that are curious, the original company just ran a Kickstarter last year to release an unreleased TCG set and it raised over $300,000 to get it made. They are considering porting this game and the sequel to the switch or steam too :)
Ohh no way, that's awesome news! Wasn't sure they were even still around, haha.
They haven’t been for decades, just mostly dormant collecting some dream of royalties on the TV series, but with KS working to help fund a lot of resurgence games and properties recently they went for it and lots of people are excited. It’s been cool to see.
So if the bridge didn't fall and you didn't go get the boots, story wise Tony would have been screwed. How else was he supposed to jump over all the lava puzzles. Also good job on getting the leaf hyren. My favorite is the bigger blue cave hyren.
Thank goodness he's got the plot advantage! 😂All the hyrens have such banger designs. The cave hyren is especially striking, I agree! He's got big, powerful-looking paws, he stands menacingly on all fours, and that blue is very pretty.
I really like your pokemon series i would love to watch a pokemon infinite fusion series!
Ooo Infinite Fusion! I played it once years ago before it got really popular, and it was a fun (and chaotic) time haha. There are so many new sprites, I might just have to give it a revisit sometime ;) Thank you!
@ yipeeeee
When I was younger I would always get stuck at this point. Mostly because I didn't read the dialogue and didn't know where to go. Whenever I did find where to go I always got lost and never found the boots. So I would just restart and play up to this part again.
Old RPGs really suffer from that, huh? If you don't talk to the ONE character, or go to a very specific location, the game just doesn't advance.
This is the first YT-video I watch in 2025. I wish you a good new year and wish that all your dreams will come true.
Happy new year! Thank you for watching me as your #1 video hahaha ☺
I used to play this game a LONG time ago.
No way! Alright, so at least a couple people have heard of it haha.
"I continued fighting them... For a couple hours..." You really committed to the grind didn't you? Looks like it really payed off though! Depending on just how many hours you had to grind for all the fragments of course... 😅
🤣I got super unlucky with the fragment drops! But as an avid shiny hunter, two hours means nothing to me anymore hahaha. Definitely worth the grind though!
Ahhhhh! A shiny hunter! Well that explains it 😆 I remember that one time where I finally got Shiny Mewtwo to appear in my Ultra Sun and I just knocked it out because I was like half asleep... 🥲 But yeah two hours are really nothing against some Shiny grinds! :D
@@JooZo_X Oh noooo that's so unfortunate, omg. I'm so sorry for that loss 😭Did you manage to find another one later, at least? I shiny hunted Dialga in Brilliant Diamond last year, and I was SO worried I would accidentally reset over the shiny. Thankfully I didn't, but I was still nervous! Also that hunt took 48 hours in total 🤣
@@GamesbyShade Yeah i was super lucky and got another one on the next day! 😁 That Mewtwo took a little over a week if I remember correctly... 🤔 I am also always terribly afraid of resetting over shinies when using this method... 😆At some point I just really get into the flow and musclememory and everything... 🤣 Little sidenote... As if you knew... you replied shortly after 12AM my time! So happy new year from across the pond i suppose! hahaha
@@JooZo_X Glad you found another quickly! That would still be the worst feeling though, ugh. Happy new year to you! Now I'm late in wishing it, haha. I've got a few hours to go here, so let me know if there's anything to watch out for in 2025 so far 😂
I spat out my drink when I saw the faces at 5:25😂😂
🤣 It was unexpected! Who knows why they're there? Certainly not me, and probably not the devs either, lol.
Good video
Thank you!
So I remember seeing a few episodes of this show, didn't he have two other people with him? are they just not in the game?
Good memory! Yeah, in the show he travels with two others. No idea where their characters came from, since they're not in the game at all as far as I'm aware.
😨😨 that cave was a real maze, and that in a children game. How could a child finish the cave if everywhere is danger and certainly get lost
I guess they expect children to keep running around until they find the exit? At least the game doesn't make you do a full restart if you lose a battle (looking at you, old console and arcade games)😬
Why does Togoth in battle Sprite somewhat look like "we got Piccolo at home"? 🤔😆
Bahahaha he really does 🤣
Besides encountering ghosts, something else happened that was creepy. I encountered a glitch in the game which put me off ease (this happened during night time). When I was at my base, I was trying to add a pokemon to my party. However, I had stolen an egg and decided to drop it to make room for one of my pokemon. When I dropped the egg and got out of my house, my sprite turned into the egg sprite. However, after a few steps of moving, the game would not let me move (the game kept making the bumping noise when I pressed the directional keys). I had an escape rope and decided to use it thinking that it will let me pick up the egg again but it did not work. I then tried using my Onix`s Ride ability thinking that it would allow me to use the directional keys again. However it did not work and suddenly the egg sprite (which replaced my sprite) suddenly moved off the screen without the screen panning. After, I had no sprite left. To add to the scariness, the night time music was playing.
Daaang that is a legitimate creepypasta! Hopefully you didn't lose too much progress 😢
How can you tell whether a pokemon likes their environment/habitat or not? Is it by the pokemon`s type or how well I decorate my house? If it is on the pokemon`s type, is there a list where I can look that up? Also, is there a list on the internet or in the game where it tells you what the items do? I am playing version 7.4 and I don`t think that version came with one.
If you interact with the pokemon, if it says it's happy then it likes its environment. I'm not sure if any pokemon loves house interiors, though. As for habitats, each type prefers different tiles in its habitat to be happy. Dual types get kind of weird in that regard, but as long as you have tiles that one of their types is, they should be happy. There was a cheatsheet online, but I can only find a really garbage version of it. Luckily I have it saved, so you can check out i.imgur.com/S3QcCMl.png for the chart. Credits to Juicebox for figuring this all out. I think it should be pretty accurate for any version of the game.
Furok is cute!
He's so charismatic! Love the big fella 🥰
this game seems needlessly complicated
It's definitely got some of that old RPG padding hahaha
I have never heard of this franchise. Maybe it wasn't in The Netherlands.
Possibly not! It came from an American studio, so I'm not sure how widespread it was.
This takes me back. There was a huge push to make this a "thing" back in the day. Card game, anime-esque show, the works. At the time TCGs were oversaturated. YGO, Duel Masters, MTG got its huge second wind.
It definitely comes across as a franchise that was trying to ride the hype of TCGs like Yugioh, Pokemon, and MTG. You're right, they really wanted to make it a "thing"!
The only way I know about this game is from a cartoon that aired on 4Kids every Saturday!
Oh no way, they aired it on 4Kids? I'm surprised I never saw it!
This is such fun to watch! I’d love to send you a couple of Steam keys so you play with friends and maybe even try some of the multiplayer minigames! There are also a bunch of online servers you can join as well! 😊
Oh my goodness, that's so kind of you, thank you so much! I have one friend for sure who was eyeing up the game, he'd be thrilled! I did try joining some multiplayer servers, but no one seemed really keen on playing the minigames eheheh. Probably just bad timing/luck on my part. Looked like there were a lot of roleplaying servers, which seemed cool! It's nice to see such a creative community for the game ☺
Great! Could you send me an email, or share your email address here? Ah okay haha! Yeah it’s awesome to see the creativity from the community in the multiplayer worlds, but also the creatures shared in the workshop! The new update I recently released adds Steam workshop support to the mobile version so that they can also download creatures!
@@DanielLochner Ah, right, sorry! It's mucka890@hotmail.com. Ohh I gotta go get the new update and check it out! I imagine some features got tweaked on the PC version too? That's awesome that you added custom download creatures to mobile! People are gonna love that :D
The fact that you didn't use the whistle theme from Deadly Premonition as the opening music is a travesty.
...Dang you're right. Where were you a week ago when I edited this?? We'll just have to settle for the Stanley Parable Elevator music instead 🤷
There's gonna be an update in 4 days
Oh no way, really? What are the odds ahahah!
How can I download People's creatures on mobile
IDK
there's a factory now that is basically the cc workshop
Shade, Thanks for this adventure. I enjoyed everything you did!!!
Aww thank YOU for joining me on the adventure too! Here's to many more 😊
Corrupted Sceptile had teeth😱😱😱😱
Great video! Thanks so much for playing! 😄 There actually is a colour palette! You can click middle mouse button on either primary or secondary to open the palette, and then middle mouse button again to open the picker! Also, the reason why the eye wasn’t being recolored was because it was using the body’s skin colour. Cash has been removed in the next version! I added it because Spore had a similar DNA cash system, and because there needed to be a reason to complete quests (which reward cash). Unlocking parts and patterns, completing quests and battles, and winning mini-games (in multiplayer) now reward XP instead! That was an interesting way to unlock the wings haha! It’s great to see the creative solutions people come up with to solve challenges! The way I had initially intended was to reduce weight so that the creature could jump higher, but that works great too! Thanks again for playing, and looking forward to part 2! 🥳
Aw hey! Thanks so much for checking out my playthrough, and I super appreciate you answering some of the questions that came up, ahah. I never thought to double-middle-mouse click, but that is fantastic to know! I imagine on more complex critters it'll be a lifesaver. What will XP do, in that case? Will it be used to level up your user account? Like a sort of "ranking" system haha. Thanks for making such a fun experience! Definitely worth every dollar I spent on it 🧡. Now I just gotta round up some buddies and get them to join me for more shenanigans!
Where do you get the exp share
What version are you playing? If you're playing the 2.0 version (newest one), then it's a prize at the game corners apparently. If you're on an older version (like me), then I'm pretty sure it's in Cherrygrove Bay.
@@GamesbyShade playing the older version on Samsung tablet
@@NoelChris625 Check around Cherrygrove Bay then!
How do you get the exp share to level up all parties pokemon?
Oh no, I see the last part of this playthrough is already posted, I dont want that it ends🥲. However I am also curious what the next game will be🙃
All good things must come to and end🥲
@@GamesbyShade But I can't live without Snuffles😥😥
@@janwafel1451 😭Snuffles lives on in our hearts...
Other than what you've already seen here the only things I can think of that are definitely gated to the postgame are the third of whichever of the rainbow feather/silver feather doesn't match your assigned "version" (so in your case the third rainbow feather for Ho-oh) and you can now get some easy arcade zone points from elm; there's not much else for a postgame rn as far as I know (apparently there are some plans for further content, but of course I have no idea when that's going to be) There is a particular spot that I'm kind of hoping will eventually be connected to corrupted mewtwo, no idea if that's actually part of the plan or not As for the developer's other games I did somewhat recently play through Dot Debugger, that one's kind of fun, a lot shorter than this one
Ahh okay, so not too much postgame just yet! I know there were people making fan mods and whatnot to add extra legendaries, forms, etc., maybe someone's working on a Mewtwo one? That would be so neat! I should take a look at the other games the dev has done sometime. I don't even know their genres or anything, eep!
Pretty standard when trans people make games about the nature of reality and it's just about svic!dal depression
Imagine stuffing a 28 foot rock snake in that toy chest...
Thank goodness for Poke Balls lol
I think Fly is too overpowered in this game. Why have Ride and Surf when you could just fly?
Yeah, and flying pokemon aren't the hardest to get either, as long as you're fine settling with something like the Pidgey line. Ride is nice for the first 10-15 levels, after that...very much less useful!
Yeah, it would be nice if the inventory in this game was easier to navigate. I never had any luck with random shinies either, at least the timing of when I did my playthrough meant I did get two shiny data from mystery gifts.
I think that's the best way to get shiny data, honestly haha.
I am surprised that you didn't encounter any ghosts in that forest. You were so lucky. You must have been wearing ghost repellent (if there was such a thing) or something.
Hahahaha I was kinda surprised too! Usually I take two steps in the dark forest and I get swarmed 😭
35:15 of course not. Otherwise it is unfair if you battle 4v3. Now its even both 3 pokemon 😜😜
...Darnit, I can't fault that logic! And of course he took out my strongest Pokemon 😋
I believe the game ended when you reached Finis town right after the train sequence in 0.9, yes. Not sure why Eeveeon wouldn't at least have Swift at that point.
That sounds about right, yeah! I forget if Oak's whole speech was included or not, but from here on out...brand new content for me woohoo! You'd think he would have Swift, but nope :( It might've been a TM though, hmm...
And ofcourse is Piloswine the MVP. Best advice I have ever gave someone
Way more solid of a Pokemon than he has ANY right to be, ahahah. That freeze chance is just too good! And the AoE on Earthquake with his high physical attack...yeah, he's really good haha.
@@GamesbyShade to be honest, i am also shocked how good he is.
21:00 "that being said, you do have a lot of flying types" none of those are flying types
Also Litorre's Ninja Kid was one of the harder ones for me to find too That said I did also kind of forget to look for him in one of the previous towns for close to half the game prior to that
😂Brain left my body for that one lol!
I believe Kabuto and Omanyte are contrasting version exclusives here, yes
Ohh that actually makes a lot more sense. Totally forgot there were version exclusives!
I do like the glitch eevee art you're using btw
Also yes I got stuck on the same glitched tile on my playthrough I don't think I had noticed that the healing prices were randomized like that though, that's kind of fun
@@johnwaugh5372 🧡Aww thank you! Ahahah glad it wasn't just me getting stuck! I'm also glad it didn't put me /too/ far back. Not to my last save or anything, thankfully!
I can confirm that Ho-oh does exist in the game as of the 1.0 update, but is not encountered at that shrine. (Also I think you did miss a corrupted Glalie back at Glacier Frig; not Jynx though, Smoochum is acquired elsewhere.)
Oh interesting! Is it a roamer then, or a static encounter somewhere else? Ahahahah ah well, I'm okay with missing Glalie/Snorunt. Since Froslass isn't in the game, and I'm not a huge fan of Glalie itself, I'll live 🙃 And I will VERY much live without finding Jynx/Smoochum lol.
@@GamesbyShade Ho-oh and Lugia are encountered at another tower just off of Victory Road, but you have to collect three rainbow feathers for ho-oh and three silver feathers for lugia before you can encounter them (I think you're playing on silver version which would probably mean the third rainbow feather isn't available until the postgame, but it's still possible to get both)
Reposting this comment because I accidentally deleted it, but there are actually at least a few other gen 4 evolutions (electivire, magmortar, apparently weavile) that this game includes evolution methods for, so it's not just leafeon and glaceon Wouldn't be surprised if mamoswine is available somehow
I've looked in the sprites folder, but I don't see Mamoswine :( The other ones you mentioned are there though!
@@GamesbyShade Ah, that's unfortunate
Pretty sure this registeel was the first corrupted legendary I ended up finding in my playthrough
To your other question I don't remember for sure where Regirock is, might be off the east end of that desert route (the one near Magnus)? The guide someone on the subreddit made a while ago would probably have that information.
I think I put that Dig TM on my Jolteon?
A little surprised to see that much of a difference in the special stats between Espeon and Umbreon here, though I will note that Umbreon has substantially lower max PP (that part I do remember running into in my playthrough), and of course not quite as much speed either; still pretty good of course and especially strong into this next gym
@@johnwaugh5372 Some weird stat spreads for sure! I'm so used to Umbreon being the bulkier one of the duo, with Espeon being more offensive, but it's a nice little switchup.
You can use the team switcher from quick select, that lets you switch individual pokemon between your A and B teams too
I eventually remember this fact, ahahah. I often forget what all is in the quickselect menu! Lots of great features :)
Also while I can definitely see what the game was going for with those gen 1 eeveelution shinies I don't personally think that shade of red-orange fits vaporeon as nicely as the purple does The blue jolteon is pretty neat though
@@johnwaugh5372 Vaporeon's regular shiny is already really pretty, I agree! I'm just very biased to orange XD But yeah, blue Jolteon is a definite upgrade!
I didn't think the legendary beasts were supposed to show up if you hadn't gone inside the shrine yet (did I miss you doing that?) Of course it's entirely possible that I'm wrong and that's not actually a requirement
I would've thought that too! Maybe a weird programming bug, maybe intentional?
I've played this one before, first found it a few months before the 1.0 update
Oh nice! Did you get to the end of the pre-1.0 content? Or do you plan to revisit it now that it's fully playable?
@@GamesbyShade Got to the end of the pre-1.0 content by the time the update landed, then finished out the game from the same save almost as soon as the update came out
@@johnwaugh5372 Oh daaang that's lucky, congrats! I wish my timing was that good hahaha.
@@GamesbyShade I mean I did have to wait just over 3 months for the update, so it wasn't exactly right away Pretty cool game though
Couldn`t you have just ran away from the Drapion while it was sleeping? It would not make as much sense if Drapion kept chasing you while it is asleep.
...Honestly never thought to try it ahahah 😅Now that would've been a smart idea!
I have spotted ninja kid (I googled where he was), but I won't spoil it. But you were standing next to him, but you didn't noticed him.
