Into Aire is the ninth and final film in the performance work BECK which follows the route of Bradford Beck from the outskirts of Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK through the city centre where it was diverted underground in the 1800s. The series of films takes the viewer to the point where the beck (a small stream) emerges from a culvert before moving onwards and out into the River Aire in Shipley.

Hi Yumii thanks for asking. It looks like part tombstone / part monolith from 2001 a space odyssey, but its actually the stone thats still standing in a fallen down cottage near where I live. Its possibly the back part of a fireplace. We've been investigating local stone use for an audio visual performance piece. Our landscape is full of things like this, one local quarry is still working
every day I walk here I here these sounds, but never so clearly. Thank you for magnifying the soundscape.
