Download the Samsung USB Drivers from androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=317076 and have them installed on your Windows computer before you start.
You need to unlock the hidden Developer Options menu on your Samsung Galaxy S5 by tapping on the Menu - Settings - About Device - Build Number 7 times.

Open the Developer Options by tapping on the Menu - Settings - Developer Options and turn on the USB Debugging Mode.
Download the Root file G900T_FOF6_5.1.1_Rooted_TrapKernel.zip from androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347774646
Download the Odin version 3.09 from androidfilehost.com/?fid=95864024717066792
Extract the files on your computer by right-clicking and choosing the “extract here” from the menu.
Long-press the Samsung Galaxy S5’s Power button and wait until the device turns off.
Reboot the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone in download mode by holding the volume down, home, and power buttons together.
Connect the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the computer with the USB cable.
Click the PDA or the AP button you can see that is available from the Odin user-interface.
Browse the desktop for the TWRP .tar file.
Click the Start button and wait until Odin is done flashing your TWRP file on the Galaxy S5.
Reboot to recovery by pressing the Volume Up, home, and power at the same time to enter recovery mode.
Select Install and navigate to your root file and install.
Reboot system and you now have root.
Download the Root checker app to verify root.
Reboot into TWRP recovery and wipe then install the custom ROM and GAPPs.
