I wish lessons weren't so expensive
Your saying square to someone who doesnt necessarily understand the term?
why does she not slow down its raining
It's not that bad if you go fast enough
No, you’re right… it’s a lot fucking worse.
That was on a curve though, probably why the back end went out as she turned
That was amazing how calm you was,I had a driving instructor shouting at me because I had a double decker bus coming at me,in what felt like a one way road
The horse wasn’t on a public road…
He was just making conversation…
A lot of our horse based riding legislation is old old. The only legislation I can think of that could be used in specific circumstances would be wild and furious riding if using a horse on a road whilst not in proper control, and even then you’d be at a push. (s.28 Town Police Clauses Act, it was one of the very few parts that have not been repealed. It was a very useful piece of legislation for police officers and included things like improper use of a doorbell, using insulting words and preventing pigsties from being allowed in front gardens)
Private road?
the horse was not 'Switched on' and the keys wern't in the ignition, so as it was stationary no problem ! Also is the horse in 'semi automonous' driving mode ?
There might be an offence committed, if the horse was using a mobile phone, whilst trotting
The rider shouldn't be horsing around using a phone while riding. Very irresponsible. 🤨
My favourite part is where you continually distract her from looking out for filtering cyclists or motorcyclists and she does not do effective observations before moving off. Keep your chat on what they've paying you for! In an urban environment there are loads of things to talk about when stopped that actually have things to do with driving and looking out for other road users.
I had a similar experience with my Rx-8 it was raining heavily a few months ago and i took a corner around 10 Mph after coming to a stop and the rear end Stepped out on me soo fast i had to instantly react i was scared but the adrenaline helped me through correcting it without harming anyone or myself.
I hope I'm not the first person to tell you that owning an RX-8 is an excuse to go on about how your car is RWD and how you're basically a drifter now.
@saint_lewis no that's not the reason why I brought the car is down to styling and being harder to drive compared to city cars and the engine that sounds like no other when your in the drivers seat or passengers seat .
How much fuel and oil does it use?
@Adam-zq5rw it uses a full tank within a week and the engine oil isn't as bad as what people make it out to be.
@@saint_lewisThere are definitely some people like that, but a lot of RX8 owners nowadays genuinely just love their cars
Failing to have both hands on the reigns violates highway code rule 53. Looks like not much will happen to the rider unless it causes an accident though
Not it doesn't as its a should rule and not a must rule.
Highway code is all advisory, none of it is law. However, if you drive like a plonk, you will get done for careless driving. But the small and overbearing rules like you stated, nothing will happen to you
You really let her drive up a footpath 🤦♂️
It’s literally not a footpath … it’s a public road that’s a dead end when you get to some farm land…
@ interesting, in the video they say it’s a footpath
@@nbsf_ it’s a footpath onwards from the point they stopped when it goes into woodland.
What if you open the book to blank pages?… cover does mean much then.
U hate that phrase well mate the reason why we dont judge a book by its cover is because we dont know what or where that person has come from and its not about books the phrase us used when meeting another human being either you know or dont know
In the Netherlands it reads your license plate and you can just drive out after paying no problem. Although this situation is ofcourse a bit different, but still pretty cool.
If you’ve only been a few minutes, it won’t charge you. For this very reason 😀
In the grand scheme of things our driving test is piss easy compared to other countries in Europe, we arent particularly rigorous, so theres not much to be nervous about.
So much comes down to luck on the day. People drive so fast these days it’s not easy for learners.
That’s not why the pass rate are going up it’s because we are letting migrants learn to drive so they can integrate and get jobs but they only no the Indian way to drive lol 😂
They foresaw you coming, it was Nostradamus cousin, he said that one day you will arrive, but you must be set free, and the car park took measures that have been in place and ready for a very long time, Just for this moment.
With hands off the wheel, that should be a fkin fail...what a crap instructor...
True, not particularly encouraging to hear though! Why are you telling her all this?
Whats her name
Chilli Con Carne?! I just call it Beef Chilli.
Nah chili con carne mate, maybe a southern thing, too many vegetarians
She is pretty still
She is beautiful
Yo chill she’s probably a minor

6 months was the time it took for mine and I passed my test 14 years ago. Failed my first test in November and passed in April
I spent 150 to get one 15 days after I wanted one worth it in my opinion
I got all my tests 2 weeks apart from one another it’s not what you know it’s who you know and how much your willing to pay
So you got scammed in other words ?
Is that wigston test centre in Leicester 🤣
Most gated car parks have a grace period, not just this one. Saves them having to have people bizz them to let them out when they couldnt find a space.
Actually, they don’t usually open if they’re full. The reason there’s a grace period is because people sometimes accidentally drive in
Depends if they have counters fitted or not
Having driven on UK roads since 1995 I can assure you that the degree of competence on the roads is not going up either. Can we at least teach these kids motorway lane discipline?
it's not just the kids that need this lesson!
I've driven around 20,000 miles since passing my test in November last year, I can confidently say that during that time the most respectful drivers have been 30 and below (Assuming by appearance). However the scariest drivers that I've been closest to crashes with have been the older drivers, talking 40+, whether that's veering into my lane on the motorway or pulling out on me when driving through towns/going around roundabouts.
@ I wasn’t criticising the abilities of young drivers, we were all young once, including the older bad drivers you describe. After covering over 700,000 miles, both in the UK and overseas, I can see that the driver training for motorways in this country is woeful. The only place I’ve driven that is worse is the US. France and Germany are both so much better than us. Lane discipline is a joke and too many people think that just sitting in lane 2 is acceptable. The system is letting young drivers down by not properly equipping them with the skills for our busy motorway network.
@@Ben-ze5jm true. The motorway training in the UK is atrocious. The older drivers with no clue were also taught badly and never improved their skills.
@@LordStraightBananathe problem is it costs extra for motorway training and with lessons sitting at £40 an hour for the normal lessons many young people simply can’t afford it. The pricings are ridiculous and the instructors are taking advantage of the high demand by inflating the prices ridiculously.
I downplayed my test in my mind in the weeks before the test, so that it felt like no big deal. On the day my instructor and I only had about 45 minutes to get to the test centre and it was stand still traffic so couldn't really get the traditional practice lesson beforehand, so I just treated my test as the lesson and that I was just showing someone what I'd learnt. It helped a lot with the nerves.
It reads your number plate automatically lol under 15 mins is free in that car park
There you go. Every day a school day!
I also find it important to train locally and do test locally to concentrate on lanes, lights, and roundabout skills. Doing a test in a city far from home just increases the chance of failure. I feel in UK the layout and road markings are not consistent and dependent on local budgets ro keep roads and markings up to date/ painted / repaired. Even buslanes have green growing over signs ( showing operation times) and lights so poor maintained that lack of local knowledge just makes it difficult for new drivers. When I did my HGv test locally, I knew every junction and lane on junctions!( I drove around on weekends memorising all ) 😅😅
I did mine in the city i grew up in, didn’t have to worry about not knowing the roads etc as other than obscure side roads, I pretty much knew all the city like the back of my hand
think it’s also important to go in to a driving test not thinking about the negatives. if you go in to anything you do thinking about the worst possible outcomes you’re bound to fail
This way don't work in a electric parking break Well in my car anyway. Have to use gas first other wise it'll just stall
My electric park brake is the opposite, to turn it off you have to have your foot on the brake. So to move you need to hold the bite then move to accelerator. Hill starts are a nightmare!
@lee53_ honestly wish mine was like that. No word of a lie i have to push the cash in and rapidly lift my foot to the biting point. Inevitable to roll back tbh
Gas *
In my instructors car with it's brake, it only turned off after a certain amount of torque went to the wheels. Basically parking was a nightmare cos it's hold me if I was tryna inch forward, then jump when it turned off. I'd have to turn it off for parking manoeuvres
@@somerandomguywastaken everything would be better with the original sick. These parking breaks are stupid
That sign just means no through road. Not that you cannot proceed. If on a test an examiner asked you to go that way but you didn't that would be a minor for not following directions?
No fault for taking wrong directions
All part of learning to drive...can't assume anymore that people know how to use them 😆 "pull up slightly, release it & pull down" as a lot of new cars now have electric handbrakes, I was driving a new corsa and it had an electric one and a little leaver to do the gears 😆 how times are changing. I like it though I always find the new technology interesting 😏
Beside physical control I now see too many private drivers ( and private hire as lowest rung of professioanl drivers , they really have no training or education whatsoever beside some international driving licence equalised by DVLA from foreign shores ) who are so attention diverted that I would say they are not in control as their mind and position and speed is wandering all over the place. Poor planning, poor road sign/ road marking recognition , and mostly late or chaotic reaction to a late sat nav prompt, usually some kind of panic. I cycled more consistenly and with forward planning as 8 year old than many motorist now!😅
I basically do this roundabout at least once a day, but I still struggle!
Horses really do crap a lot. Disgusting. They are tracking the worms on the bottom of their wheels of their cars. They are tracking that into their homes. Horses can get worms too.
Why does she speaks like she's a ventriloquist 😂
Good on her for having the confidence to do that and it was a very well done manoeuvre too. I think that has to come down to your teaching to some extent as she clearly feels able to do that with you there and that says something. Nice!
So if I feel like doing 40 at night in a 30 on a non housing street
" Should be easier once cars drive themselves..." What do they learn in basic school physics nowadays?? 😅 " there must be an app for that" 😅
If horses deserve 2 metres of space and a top speed of 10mph, then so do humans who cycle!!!
If you’re a cyclist you shouldn’t be on the road. Constantly holding up traffic
@@thepaceyturtle7182Wheras do u want them to go? In the hedge?
horses can easily get scared of noises and movements.
@@thepaceyturtle7182 REAL annoying gremlins always in the way makes you take 4x the amount of time to get to work when there's a perfectly good path right there
