I have 2012 Astra 1.4 turbo , gearbox IS noisy, maybe bearing problem, Took IT to a maintenance for diagnos ,servicechief Said that have to buy new Gearbox, cant Be fixed , 😥, car had 72330 kilometers, factory should take this fault on every Astras/Vauxhall under check and admit that box has problems

I have Opel Corsa OPC in blue. Great beasts, giving other cars run for their money. My only concern is that they might still have problem with cylinder 4 like the previous gen model. Other than that fuel economy pretty bad but it ticks everything I wanted in a hot hatch.

Once your exhaust is hot, if you just press the clutch and blip ya go peddle with cluth in youll get a couple pops and bangs, no need to slip of throttle, fast blips about 3.5k-4k revs fast on n off, but its not a good idea on any car more in a corsa vxr with the piston 4 issue, its just causing back pressure, an adding excess heat to the pistons, best bet is deres the exhaust an when its hot itll do afew natural pops which sound better than forcing unburnt fuel threw engine onto hot exhaust...

the 0.0 on the temp gauge is the brightness of the dash, so you have to turn the scroll wheel up and then turn on the headlights and will give you the % of the brightness

if you put the car 8 in gear and bite the clutch the engine will shift on its rubber mountings and move the gearlever slightly, my astra has over 300k km and apart from slight rough first to second is fine

hello I am French and I have an opel astra 1.7 cdti with an m32 gearbox, sometimes the 5th gear is difficult to engage, the gearbox makes no noise and the gears do not shift. What do you think?

Corsa vxr d are really cheap at the moment I need an auto due to back problems and think I'm going to have to sell mine the px prices are silly mines a 14 plate 64000 miles 2500 miles since forged and lots of nice bits they are offering me £4000 I'm putting 12months mot on and putting it on ebay for £6000 in a few weeks if I don't get that I'm not selling it .Keep the videos coming I'd be interested in what you do

Hey guys, just looking for people's experience. I bought an Astra 2012(gen 2 gearbox) I knew of the problem but I kinda missed it while test driving. Few hours later I noticed my Gearbox moving into position once I clutch in (1-3 gear), but once it's in it's stays there. Everytime I push on the Gaspedal I hear lil clack noise. No whining tho. You guys think it's gonna last for 1-2 month's? How do I know it's getting bad? I can only change it in 2 months or sk

Pal errrrr I’m I missing something here ???? I’m gonna use the golf R as an example because I’ve been in one , The launch control option is used as if your drag racing it lets say , The car in launch control will not let you choose the Rev range , and basically is programmed to give you the fastest possible pull away , I’m not gonna be a keyboard warrior here pal But I’m missing something here or you are ? I’ve not actually read the other comments here so apologies if I’m the one being the crank 👍🏼

I have a similar problem, but with an M20 gearbox (basically an M32 for smaller engines). I don't hear the whining noise, but I have problems with the shifter handle. About 40% of the time it doesn't slide smoothly into gear, but it feels like it stucks through something, mostly when shifting into 2nd gear. It happens only while the car is moving, shifting while standing still is almost always smooth. I will try to change the gearbox oil and see if it helps. It's a 2006 Astra H 1.3 CDTI.

Corsa E 1.4T here . Whines like a Bitch on the motorway. Very depresssing . Just need to find the funds to get the bearings done . Looking towards the 600 mark I’d imagine ? .
