I haven’t played squad In at least two years. For those that have played against these CAS helicopters how annoying are they? Do they completely ruin a good experience or what because they don’t seem very balanced..

I guess we understand now why normal Squad decided to not do attack helicopters. It's simply too unbalanced.

Squad should become a full fledged war simulator. MANPADs, SPAA, actual pilots for jets, thermals, a realistic damage model for all vehicles, 155mm artillery, UCAVs you name it. It has a lot of potential

How are you able to aim your hellfires consistently without a HUD for the pilot? I tried using the same aimpoint but it depends on the angle of attack

Is he using two accounts to use both seats? I remember having 2 players in there one on the gun and some hellfires the other flying with the rockets and some more hellfires

I feel like playable CAS will drastically change the balance of the game unless devs add in actual medium range SAMs. Or contructible SAMs in fobs. Adding CAS is going to be too hard to balance

This seems SOOOO OP......they will need to implement some type of should fired AA......The other team should have been building and using TOW's to hunt you down. They left it just to the vehicles is seems......and we saw how that worked out. Amazing job in the Viper.

So fuckin OP it really hurts. Meanwhile your best shot at AA is either ZSU (which is easily killed and has very limited range), ATGM (which is easily killed and thanks to new mechanics is upredictable) or just a tank (which is not easy to kill but the number one target of the cobra anyway). An infantry squad is simply no threat anymore....and this game was intially about infantry tactics. Look what they have done to my boy.

These things are like flying tanks, eating multiple hits from anything but a tank round. Also No manpads kits or buildables on habs just makes it silly.

Without automatic guided air defense weapons, armed helicopters would be too unbalanced.
