My late Dad and I have had four 1980 928s over the years (2 running, 1 in the garage waiting for parts, 1 destroyed by a careless driver) but Dad was always itching to buy a 944 for track days. Our mechanic's son races a 944 Turbo with 600+ horsepower and has fun beating the pants off brand new 911s. It's also his daily driver! I watched this video because I was trying to charge an AGM battery for the first time for use in one of the Porsches. Unfortunately my version of the MXS 5.0 doesn't have screws on the back so I'll need to crack it open somehow. I bought it from an eBay seller who disappeared and CTEK refuse to honour it after providing the serial number, telling me it's the seller's responsibility to replace it despite being a verified genuine product. Will never give them another cent!

I don’t have that particular model, but I’m assuming you could try the same thing. Take it apart carefully and spray some contact cleaner. Hope that helps

@@moesgarage1403 Today I repaired my CTEK MXS 4003. Some remarks: You can remove the button of the mode switch easily. It is just plugged in. Then you will see the original switch under the button that is soldered on the platine. It has some small gaps in which the cleaner goes. Do some clickings, thats it. You use way too much cleaner that is not neccessary. Spinnig the button has no effect because you turn the button plugged in the switch but not the contact inside the switch which is not turnable. The only thing that provides the cleaning is pushing the button several times as you did in the video. That helps. Thank you for your efford and making the video, that gave me the help I need to solve my problem.

It’s 800 psi. I’m sure the newer version is a bit more. It’s obviously not as powerful as a gas powered pressure washer, but it does a pretty good job

It takes about 1 1/2 of the container. Unless you really like spraying your car, you might need the container filled twice 😁

The pressure washer puts out 800 Psi which I don’t think is enough for a foam cannon. I tried the one with the machine, and my foam cannon and it didn’t work

@@moesgarage1403 I made a cheap amazon foam cannon work by making a custom orifice for it. i drilled out the org one a tad under sized for a pices of brass rod i had then drill a new orifice at 0.86mm(.034in) or apx 1gpm at 1000psi it work very well on my sunjoe 24v newer dual battery model

I’m not sure, is it still charging, possibly those two lights are burnt or became unsoldered?

I think its the fuse. Can't open the socket where I can check the fuse. It has a Phillips screw that I took out but don't know how to open it up. There is a label indicating 8A.

Okay, I see, you have to split the case and the fuse is inside. Now I have to find a 8A fuse.

@@moesgarage1403 I don't have a measuring device, but the only place I can order the 8A is from Radio Shack. I think its 5mm x 20, can you confirm?

Hi Moe. Would you know why the cc 3.6 v6 4motion has an initial rough start and then slowly gets quieter? But when its warmed up it starts without the roughness. Can't understand it and afraid to have VW asses and potentially make me do unnecessary repair work.

@@jarrodpeters8031 I’ve actually never noticed that with mine to be honest. I mean obviously a cold start up is always louder till in warms up and the rpm’s settle back down, but there wasn’t any roughness

No, you can't. WD could destroy the electronics over time because of it's components. It also could have unwanted effects because of it's isolating and capillar feature. Better use an electronic cleaner for platines. It is made special for this use. Also contact sprays are not recommended. They are for a different use.

Kooka Mafia it still works great. My stepson used it to do his deck and he said it worked great. The battery was lasting about 20 minutes.
