Oh, no. It looks like the timelines got mixed again!

Great film. But, of course, it makes no sense that the Borg would come back to this time. Why not go back in time before humanity has evolved to space travel at all? Much easier to ensalve them. And why would they bother to have attacked Earth in the first place prior to going back in time? Just go back in time, fly to Earth and enslave them that way. Much less messy. ☮

It was awesome that they still had that Vulcan set 9 years later.

I liked the part where Cochrane said “it’s star trekkin’ time” and then trekked all over the - (ZAP) …I deserved that.

James Cromwell was great, really. But given he was an active actor at the time, I would have loved to have seen Jack Nicholson cast as "Cochrane" in the "Metamorphosis" episode...then come back for "First Contact".

Funny thing is, I doubt meeting aliens would unite humanity. The meeting would get hushed up and those attending dismissed as cranks. This utopian vision wouldn't happen and everyone knows it. Say it ain't so.

This version is the "MIrror, Mirror" version. It became the Terran Empire. I would have loved to have seen the Mirror, MIrror version of the movies. :)

Now if I wrote that scene, the moment he said “ you are all astronauts on some kind of Star Trek” I would’ve made Riker say : “ We are not exactly exactly Star Trek astronauts.. We are more the next generation of them!”

Funny as hell alternate ending.... LOL. But, in truth, closer to how humans really behave.

With all of his contributions, it makes me wonder why there was never a USS Cochrane in the fleet. You'd think with all that he did, the least he could get is a ship named after him. I guess he wasn't as important as they made him out to be.

Bit of good luck that it was the Vulcans. Would have been bad if it had been klingons or some race like that.

In the box just below this video where UA-cam typically tries to sell me more complete videos, today it is trying to sell me 5 episodes of Babylon 5. Wrong series. The ending is the funniest thing I have seen in at least a month.
