Check out the progress on Jim's GTO and his new drivers view. Interior wiring pretty much done. No change to the ecu wiring or chassis wiring. testing new wheel alignment, brake settings, suspension height, semi slick tyres and steering tie rod ends. No power changes. Engine is a stock internal 6G72 twin turbo with a Wolf V550 ecu. Turbos are upgraded and exhaust is a 3 inch single outlet.

    Noob question: What's the benefit of converting to electric power steering? Less leeching off of the engines power? Adjustability?

    Really nice looking Galant! I just noticed, the RPM gauge and the Speedo gauge is opposite from my '91 european hatchback? Never knew, perhaps because of RHD and mine is LHD? Weird :D

    Thanks for this video! I own a 1.8viento ( much the same without turbo ) I also have the SOHC 2.0 fastback. The viento is Japanese but the other was nz assembled. Both are Auto trans and i just wanted to say an easier way is to 1- disconnect the ecu completely by disconnecting the Battery completely and wait 1 hour ( cold engine is important ) 2-disconnect the TPS ... some models have 3 OR 4 pins.... the 4 pin one simple adds a STOP pin. 3-with a multimeter set to 20Kohms , locate pin 1 ( single alone pin on the 3 pin tps FAR LEFT / RIGHT ) - connect probe [ black or red MultiM ] and the next INNER pin [ other MultiM probe ] the 4 pin is the same just use the same logic ,determining for yourself the OUTER alone pin. - you will see what i mean as you read further. 4-SET the IDLE STOP POINT on the adjuster screw to where the butterfly "sticks" ... now turn it in 1/4 turn just a tiny bit ( there is a factory setting in the "book manual"..................yeah right! 5-now you can actually start adjusting the TPS start value of 0.91 MOhms . turn the throttle up gradually and take note of "jumping" values as they will happen just about 20 - 35% into travel. The max value should be 5.0 to 5.3 somewhere depending on the quality of the TPS ( OE is about USD300.00 from Japan ) The PRC one is 50 . DONT overtighten the TPS ... especially the PRC one and 5Nm is allmost nothing just compressing the spring washer. Start up after reconnecting the battery and let it get hot in PARK. Drive it slowly untill the highway and let the ECU seat its dynamic settings. You should have better petrol mileage after a 2 or three Hot/Cold starts etc. Mark 0.91 on the TPS when the engine is hot so the ink can never be removed if the car runs better.

      Not with these cams and ecu. It's got some aftermarket stuff and the Wolf ecu doesn't manage the idle valve. A modern ecu would sort it out no probs.

    Did you ever install them? I use to have some but ended up selling them. I only test fitted them and fitment was kinda similar to yours. Thought i had a bad batch

      They are sitting on the car but haven't touched it since... fitment does need some work but I figured it was normal. I do believe I'll have to cut lots to make it fit well

      The AMG has 170hp instead of normal GTI 143hp, if I remember correctly :)

    Hey man, looking at doing this soon. for the lines on the underside of the rack (I'm assuming you have deleted 4WS on this) did you just loop them? Also at the top is the bigger fitting the high pressure line out of the 2? Cheers
