To celebrate Shadow of the Erdtree I recreated my favorite boss from Elden Ring, Malenia. This was an absolute blast to work on (minus my colorblindness) and I hope you enjoy the video!

Thank you very much! I can totally understand the frustration (especially starting out) but I urge you to keep going. Mini painting is a tremendously difficult and time intensive hobby, I have been doing it for over 20 years and still consider my skill level as "just above mid." However it's been a wonderful journey of slow improvements and learning how to stick with something. Let me know if you want any advice, always happy to help new people entering the hobby!

This turned out amazing! What brushes did you use for it?
Thanks! I paint almost exclusively with a Raphael 8404 size 1, it's a great all-around brush that can do larger sizes and fine details. Highly recommend!

I recently took up minipainting and DAMN, might have to try a not true metallic paintjob sometimes, this looks incredible!

I lost track after 30, It was definitely more than that! She was crazy hard, I basically had to cheese her with mimic tear + pots

You got this! She is definitely beatable but definitely takes a lot of patience. It took me like 3 weeks trying on and off as I'd get frustrated, quit for a few days, and keep coming back. I suck at souls games so I'm sure you can do it!

I just finally got a Mars 4 Ultra 3d printer and all the painting supplies I need to start out.. I'm super excited to start making miniatures and then painting them.

It's really well done. Tho if I may, her leg prosthesis are supposed to be ivory white, only the feet are gold and she has the haligtree crest on her cloak which is what breaks the red on red with her hair. But that's details.

Karlach is my favourite character from Baldur’s Gate. I’ve been tempted to try painting a bust of her lately and seeing how you went about doing it really helped. Great non-metallic metal technique! Look forward to seeing more! Subbed!

Thank you! I almost exclusively use the Raphael 8404 size 1. It's big enough for larger surfaces but the tip is still small enough to super fine details - I did all the NMM scratches and stippling with just the size 1. I also used some Artis Opus drybrushes for a few applications but not a ton.
i think you can now remove "hardest" from the title. (i liked the video tho !)
