Glad I just found this -- great video! I have a 2015 Xterra (the third one I've owned) w/186k miles and it has been the absolutely most reliable and dependable and maintenance-free vehicle I've owned, and that includes 3 XJ Cherokees, 1 Mitsu Montero, one [original] Rover Discovery, and two FJ-40 Land Cruisers -- all bought new and all drivernover 100k miles -- in LatAm, Australia, Africa and the US. And all used hard off-road and all showed the trail damage -- but sheet metal doesn't affect mechanical performance and all were carefully maintained and not mechanically-abused. To Alan, don't worry about the sheet metal: have fun, but don't deliberately abuse the mechanicals and from my third watching of the video, you didn't. As for spotters, they're nice to have but the guy behind the wheel is the key -- including spotting which line to take, which to abandon, and what to switch to. Great video -- love to see more of them!

This is a Jeep trail. This poor X was being trashed. At least get a lift and run 33" tires. Maybe a steel front and rear bumper and rock sliders too! I'd never take my X here and abuse it like that.

The obstacles are so much bigger than they look, there’s no avoiding underbody damage on this terrain. The xterra stock is just not high enough for some of the rock ledges. I’ve wheeled a pro4x and the clearance just isn’t enough and the skid plates are useless
