I wish someone would It’s the length of time to get to certain temperatures. I know every kiln is different but how long should it take to get to ideal temp ?

Hi! Thanks for sharing! I'm trying to figure out how to fire rings, but I'm not quite sure yet. 'cause like you said, it's good to clean the little hole, put wax, etc... and a ring should be all glazed. Would you have any suggestions?😅

Hi! Thank you for sharing this was so useful. I have made a bowl from a slip with sodium silicate and now i wonder if i should clean it off the bottom like i would with glaze? Like should i avoid sodium silicate on my kiln shelves?:)

With this i might finally be able to create the true colors of the pots i see in my mind, until just now I was filled with such absolute cutting fear and dread towards the unpredictability of the entire glazing process but this might save me yet

Hello, I love the result but cannot grasp the process… so you have used the lamp shade as a mould but how did you manage to join the two plates without squashing them ? Were they leather hard ? Apologies for the newbie questions !

I’ve been trying to figure out how to make ceramic dice , do you have any suggestions on how to fully glaze something like that ( where it can’t really be suspended and ideally would be completely glazed ) ? I’m new to ceramics and don’t know much about it all.

I find my kiln is slow to get 1900-2000f …I was wondering if the last couple hundred degrees just took longer to reach?

Can you tell me what you are using for the lid and what the temp rating is? I am living in France and would like to try and find it here.

Karen, I love your work. What is the final clear harder wax that you use for your sculpture. Having a difficult time figuring what to use that will not yellow as I have a very light color sculpture.
