I don't disagree, they are the same, but I wouldn't use the word cater. Pander is more like it, but neither does that much for their pandered with the exception of one or two people in each.

I had a gig that was cut back to meet the part-time threshold too when they added that law. This is when I learned that food stamps isn't a safety net program for regular people. You can afford rent but not food, or food but not rent. You make too much for assistance, but you don't have enough for both. What a wonderful system (along with other things I learned).

What makes me mad is that I never heard of a thing where you don't get PTO paid out unless it's a state law. Another way to nickle and dime. I was supposed to have off that week paid, instead I'm off unpaid. Then there's holiday, no severance, and a way to not even get a bonus because the owners made a few bad risky deals away from their core competency. Bonus would've been a good severance at least.

@@tsdobbi I never heard of such an excuse and I just looked up and I never even lived in a state that required the payout. But I've always gotten the payout and always counted it as a matter of fact. I wonder when corporate America discovered this little perk. The company and everyone was based in a state that requires a PTO payment. I lived in a state that did not. So I would be the only one not getting it assuming a high turnover! To penny pinch on one person and only one person.......

I think with developments like this it will be easier to think of Huntsville that way. It never feels that big when I'm there. Even though there is a lot of cool stuff.

One of these clips was filmed while waiting for that trolley! Their website claimed they do this, but it did not come. Maybe they don't bring them out on certain event days or the last one of the day came early, but I never got a chance to see it.

I tried to ride it recently and it wasn’t there- maybe service has been cut since the website was last edited. Cool that you saw an SD-100 though, they’re pretty rare to see these days!

I think it might be the same one, the current US-280 feels like it would be newer than that period. This is in the mountain part of Shelby County, just before Chelsea. I really need to retake this in a better bit-rate, it's gorgeous bit of old road for the 5 or so minutes of it.

I stayed in both (video not up yet). Pioneer Square (PS) has a wonderful view of the sound. This is across the street and it seemed fine to cross the street and take the ferries.Pikes Place I think is up that street too. Going "inland" I didn't get to explore much from here, but there was some homeless at one park a few blocks away. At South Lake Union (SLU) there is a Whole Foods one block away. Always foot traffic, walked it frequently. You have the streetcar too. It was clean and proper in appearance, but I did see a strung-out person here and there. The area with the biggest looking issues were around Westlake, which is where stores and the monorail begins. Mainly drugs, and their smells. That was it as far as I could tell, but I didn't go out at 3am or anything like that.

Me neither! I thought that hotel lobbies were only on the ground floor. I heard about this hotel when a blind person got stuck in the elevator back in March. It is due to the lack of accessibility features in the elevator. If you want to know more, I'll be happy to send you a link to a video and the news coverage. I am also blind as well.

I've heard of such, but in big popular cities. I never seen one personally other than this hotel. But, with Hilton, and the app, you never need to go to the front desk. I went straight to the room. The elevator was unexpected at first too, but I like that you tap the "key", and it automatically goes straight to the floor. It seems silly to have to push a button to a floor when your destination should be obvious.
