His sense of time is unbelievably good! And everything else is too!
Thank you harmany63 for all the Jack Pearson postings. I have been blessed to see Jack many times when he was regularly playing out in Nashville. He never disappoints.
Pure genius!!!!!!!!!
This V is tuned way down...just like Albert king. Loose strings, huge bends.....A. King style!!
Open G tunning or just dropped D? I just love how he plays it.
He’s tuned “three frets down.” A step and a half lower than standard. Bending those strings and making that V sing. Awesome, Jack! Daaaaayum. Those other two guys ain’t bad either. Love it!
Just fantastic! If Hendrix were still alive I think he might sound something like this ❤️
King Of Budget Guitar . 👍🏻
I am a big big fan of Mr. Pearson. I play guitar and have unmeasureable amount of respect for abilities and knowledge of guitars. He made some really inexpensive guitars sound great. One of his lessons he gave a great tip to help sort out all the internet stuff. I am also hearing another great real deal guitar player. Her name is ivy Ford. Give her a chance.
Jack is a bad example, because if you try to get good in as many styles of guitar playing as he is, you will just SUCK at all of them-there just are not enough hours in a lifetime to achieve his supernatural skill level.
That C#-standard tuning sounds bad-ass. Growling bass notes and crazy 2-step bends. I heard recently that Jack is now unable to play/perform for health reasons-if anybody has more hidden gems of him in action, please post ‘em on UA-cam, because sadly it seems as if there won’t be any more opportunities to catch him live.
Jack is a groovin' monster! Organist and drummer are right in that pocket. Great three piece band. Swing it Jack!!!!!!
Wow! A little Danny Gatton!
Killin’ it Jack. The most underrated guitarist, along with Clint Strong. Such an inspiration
This guy is absolutely phenomenal
Jacks unreal so well rounded god bless you jack
Amen!
Remember, Jack call this shape of guitar a “flying A”… Love it! That is a really good sounding guitar.
Could also be a flying Y
The finest player alive today ! All styles considered. He can play them all. Listen to the tone . It’s all fingers. Take it from a guitar player of over 50 years..
I'm in in violent agreement, brother. Jack is a one of a kind monster player with unreal skills and technique!! Side-note: I've been to the The Station Inn. It's a small nondescript spot in Nashville. I was there in 2009 to see "The Time Jumpers". I'll leave it there. 😉
He makes it look so easy! 😊
Jack has an insane tone and his playing is marvelous. He is a genius. Regards from Germany.
Flying V, such a great sound for blues. I have to wonder if lighter Gibsons are easier to get blues tones out of, vs the heavy ones? May just be my preference. Great post!
Jack is a legend ! so damn smooth and great phrasing .Just great! ty for sharing .
i can play that too if i had an epiphone!!!!!!
The best…&, if not…one of the best ever!
Its almost like...its not even a guitar...its like water in his hands and fingers and he just plays fluid as f*ck. He really is a jedi master of the craft. Like..he invented it or something. Its mind blowing. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏼
Jack never ceases to amaze me
The drummer holds a nice groove shuffler !!! Beautiful , the organ player too !!!! Amazing !!!!
Wow 😮😮😮 👏🏼 👏🏼
Thank you Harmany63! I love listening to Jack play and sing. Have see many times before Covid. I surely wish he would do live shows again.
Gotta love it
Hey Jack keep at it
@larryesser9024 hey with all due respect Jack is way beyond those guys. He can play blues like the best, jazz like Wes Montgomery, country like Atkins and Travis. He’s Danny Gatton-like in his versatility…he plays with session guys like Brent Mason…he plays with Tommy Emmanuel and Johnny Hiland…all of these guys in terms of skill in guitar playing are way beyond any of the rock and blues players who everyone knows…yes even Hendrix. Not as popular, but Jack is a standout in Nashville where there is a guitar player on every corner who is better than anyone you’ve ever heard of…he is among the best of all time!
He's just on another level...his hands are unbelievable
This is at the Station Inn in the Gulch section of Nashville. I saw Jack play there many times before Covid, you could sit close enough so it seemed he was playing in your living room. Jack is amazing, I wish he would resume playing out in the Nashville clubs again. I surely do miss him.
Epiphone
Warning: Genius At Work
God this is good!
Outstanding!
Merry Christmas Jack wherever you are! Sure miss hearing you play in Nashville!
I caught my guitar watching this video at 3am, with a glass of bourbon, fretboard oil, and a rag.
Hahaha 😂
Jack ain’t no smack..!!!🔥🔥🔥
Awesome 😎
Love his rhythm n lead playing on this
This kicks ass :)
Excellent, thanks for posting this gem!
This is great!
Perfect!
Silk does not describe how smooth the man is. When he has a guitar in his hands, it's pure magic.
Pick it son.
