Fun list! Obviously a lot has changed over 2 years, probably the most surprising, Erik Karlsson scoring 100 points in a season. This is what my top list would look like today (excluding goalies) 1. Elias Petersson 2. Erik Karlsson 3. Mika Zibanejad 4. Rasmus Dahlin 5. Victor Hedman 6. William Nylander 7. Elias Lindholm 8. Jesper Bratt 9. Filip Forsberg 10. Hampus Lindholm In the future I can see Lucas Raymond and Leo Karlsson be on this list!

Hi, Sabres fan here.... the 2022-2023 season has been wild. Traded Jack in 2021 and well... you could say this season has been a hell of a ride!

This team is now unreal. Wizard drafting and trades and signings. Kevyn Adam’s is the savior. Eichel Reinhart O’Reilly traded for Tuch, Krebs, Levi, Kulich and Thompson (now a top 5 player in the league) Draft Jack Quinn, Peterka, Owen Power, Matt savoie, Juri Kulich, Noah Ostlund Skinner, Tuch, Thompson, Cozens, Mittelstadt all having career years. Trades and Signs the best goalie Prospect in Devon Levi locking up Samuelson, Thompson and Cozens on team friendly long term deals Trusting in Don Granato and extending him getting the best out of young players Dahlin and Thompson as well as sparking the resurgence of Jeff Skinner Trading Eichel the opposite of screwed best thing that ever happened to this franchise. Tuch looking like a better player and leader than Eichel. And pegulas “friends and family” Kevyn Adam’s is a genius and not a mistake hiring.

One thing is for sure! The Buffalo Sabres should have NEVER abandoned / returned to use there old colors and logo. The logo and colors of 1996-2006 with the angry Bison and the Black/White/Red was the best ever the franchise have had. Also the franchise had had most sucsess during that era as well compared to current/old of Blue/White/Yellow who represents all franchise failures. There current jerseys are so darn boring and bland.

Great list. Visiting this a year later LA is still working on those top 5. Kupari and Kaliyev are very close. Fagemo might move up soon. Turcotte is a question mark suffering 2 concussions last season and failing his initial after season physical but has just been cleared for the Kings upcoming rookie series.

CBJfan here…..Marchenko finished in the KHL and came to Columbus for development camp. (July 2022). He lit the place up. He has decided not to return to Russia this summer. He will be on the roster for the Traverse City tournament. Look for him to dominate that week as well. He has been playing and succeeding against grown men for the last two years. The real test will come when pre-season and regular season games begin. Between Marchinko and Chinakhov, one of those guys are going to open eyes over the next two years 22-23/23-24.

Does Nylander have 2 options? His father was a Swedish NHL player I know, but I think William grew up in Canada and the U.S. I'd like to see him playing for Sweden but when I look for his national team sweater, it's in the Canadian section.

I think another problem with the Sabres is that the Pegulas have committed all of their resources to the NFL's Bills. Maybe it would be in the best interest for the Pegulas to just sell the Sabres and cut their losses there so they can truly focus on the Bills......And get some real hockey people in running the Sabres. Or the Sabres will truly become the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NHL.

This Canadian man(presenter) is a very good presenter. I love his style. I wish I was canadian(I’m American, I’m jealous… I have lifelong healthcare cause I fought in a stupid war… but, shouldn’t food and healthcare be guarantees in the richest country every? I had a different job than diff Americans when I was 19, they coulda been waiting tables, or changing oil… why would their healthcare be less important than mine? doesn’t mean I deserve ANYTHING before any other citizen.). Sorry, I don’t feel like I’m getting political, just speaking common sense. I really feel like millions of Americans are eying other English speaking countries as a refuge from what americas “right wing propaganda machine” has done to our country.

The Sabres problem I feel is no consistency. For sixteen years they had consistency with Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regier. After those two left, that franchise has been a dumpster fire with so many GM and coaching changes. Since Lindy Ruff was let go as their coach, I believe they have had six head coaches and are already on their third GM. That is not good for consistency. I personally would like to see the Sabres competitive because I feel that city definitely deserves it.

The Flyers have not been a competitive team in recent years.

2 years later, Adams might be one of the better GM's since Darcy who was the Sabres best. Eichel and the toxic culture is off the team through some good trades, Tage is a beast this year and showing why he was worth it. Skinner has found his groove again, the guys are starting to play like a team again which is why the 90's were so good
