@ well, I’ve caught them throughout the southeast. But I live in the panhandle of Florida, where there are countless cold water springs. They pile in on these in the summer and on the hot springs in the winter. But my favorite of all the bream are shell crackers due to the texture and flavor! I catch and eat a lot of fish, both salt and freshwater and the shell cracker is definitely in the top three for good eating! Delicious!
