The state of the Channel *Update*
After months and months of hard work and dedication, I am officially a college graduate!!! I received my degree in May of 2022 at Eastern Connecticut State University for Elementary Education. Don't worry, there will be trains in my future classroom. ;)
With this being said, there are a few changes that are needed in order for this channel to continue. The first big change is the name of the channel. I was thinking, "The College-grad Railroader" But I would love to throw this question out to everyone and help find a new name for the channel that doesn't stray too far from our origins.
The other change is that now I'm no longer in a college dorm. With this I can show more of my Train room but I also want to hear from you all. What types of videos you would like to see from this channel? More unboxings, layout tours, DIYs, etc.
Please please please comment your thought below. I look forward hearing from everyone!!!!!!

How dose it compare to your rheneas ? There both to an scale track !
Don't waste your money on this Controller and Switches or Bachmann EZ Track or the controller. They are expensive garbage made in China. I bought 19 of the switches, 80 to 90 feet of the track. Six of switches have quit working and will not even switch manually. The dealer will not exchange them after 30 days and Bachmann will ignore you. I have a little over $684.oo invested in just the switches. I really don't have any option but to buy atlas track, roadbed and looking into Peco switches, with tortoise switch machines.. I bought the EZ Command controller too and had to return it for a replacement, that I had to send right back to the dealer too. I also wasted money on the 5 amp Bachmann booster. The controllers are $200.oo a pop and the Booster was $365.oo That was over $1,600.oo wasted. It really pisses me off the time I took planning, laying and ballasting that garbage. NOW I HAVE TO RIP IT ALL UP AND REPLACE IT. This craps going to cost me over $3000.oo to fix. I bought a Digitrax Zephyr express for a DCC controller.
i have this controller and was wondering if you can reset a dead decoder with this i have a bachmann dcc locomotive that wint run on any channel i try but works on a non dcc layout
cant wait to get this after i get my ho scale Bay Area Rapid Trainsit Train aka Bart, in a few weeks before i get this bachmann dcc decoder
What’s the smallest radius these trolleys will run on
Can the couplers be replaced with Rapido Style Couplers?
Love the layout
Hope your doing well I loved your rheneas narrow gauge review . Anyways I hope to see you back eventually
Congratulations for your presentation video! I also love PCCs, unfortunately in Italy the American PCCs have never run. So I had to settle for seeing them run only in my H0 system... (ua-cam.com/video/KkjQdsVgJiQ/v-deo.html)
Personally james is the best Bachman you can get . Sturdy , robust and I love red That and you can make him pull more by adding weight into some parts of the body . Or maybe on the inside of the tender you can add some weight to make that more sturdy . Yeah bye
There is also rusty , Skarloey, yellow variant of rheneas and a red slate wagon Also a red van And a blue van It’s amazing . Tho I recomend rusty . He is stunning and skarloey too . And yellow rheneas is so eye catching to me . Tho bachman did also make some passinger cars for the narrow gauge stuff too . A blue and cream one and a red and tan one too . Perhaps check them out someday Fun fact Oh and did you know that rheneas exists in real life over here in the uk . Along with skarloey , sir handel , and even rusty . All of the narrow gauge engines really And it’s on a railway called the talylln railway in the centre of wales . It’s really fun you would love it . If you ever get the chance to come and see it I recomend fully do so . It’s so peaceful and everyone is so friendly . I took a train behind the real skarloey and WOW he is acctually small in real life . I mean I am a 5,3 person in foot height for uk standards anyways and I went to see inside the cab of him at the station and WOW I hit my head on the roof of it . That’s how small they are . Even real life rheneas the crew had to crouch pretty much to drive . It’s all so small and shrunken I love it If you can get to the uk and get to wales . Come see it all for yourself .
What controllers are compatible with the wiring it comes with
Really any, for some you just have to cut the headphone jack thing off
Look semi like shorter Strasburg coaches, bachmann does a good job with old time coaches
Omg thanks! Ill ask my mom to buy this controller again!
Cannot reduce speed
If it cost you more than 50 bucks you got taken.
[thank, you for youre video.👍 i, bought the same dcc controller]
Thanks for the clear advice
Good job. Made me a lot smarter😂😂
Being that the controller is only 2.5 amps, do you know if they sell power boosters? Or other power supplies you can hook up to other rerailer sections on other areas of the layout for bigger layouts and running more than one or two engines?
Nice video and track's distribution. For some reason there are many videos testing that locomotive car with a relative high number of cars. In your case, your test was successful. However, i think that the hardest test for this model is to connect the cars.
Im new to model RR. Thank you for your review of the bachman commander dcc. I am currently in the research phase and planning. I do have a question, could you do a video on hooking up a power booster to the commander some time? Im starting out with 2 4×8 in a L formation. I plan to run a main line all around the out side with a partial dog bone on the inside that will eventually run to a yard. Im not sure ill have enough power to power the whole track. I plan also to run several dcc engines as well. Thank you for your videos. I found them very helpful so far. 👍 I should mention HO scale.
Are you still alive?
Yes... however after receiving my masters, lots of different job opportunities have arose. So I'm trying to create a stable workweek for myself before I upload soon enough
@@thecollegerailroader excellent news 🗞️
@@thecollegerailroader good luck on your career. RE: retired teacher
R.I.P TCR., thanks for the good times.
Dude the state of the channel is dieing. Where's the new content? 2 months have gone by.
Every time I have to program a train I come back here lol thanks so much 👍👍
Great video! I've been a huge train lover since I was a kid and I'm about to buy a few N scale sets so I can introduce my daughter to trains as well. I've been watching a few of your vids for tips on how to use the controllers as well as how the sets are in general. Love the reveiw and the setup you have going for your other trains!
don't waste your money- you know she's just going to come home with a boy who has piercings on his face and plugs in his ears
Ok this is cool but please get your Thomas done fix his buffers and fix Thomas lining and number
"Promo sm" 😕
A magnet for disconnecting Katie Cutler equipped freight cars
The thing you thought was a weight is a magnet you put it on or under the track and any cars that have magnetic couplers will automatically decouple
Congratulations on your graduation. I'll stay subscribed cus I've always liked your content, man.
Where is this show located?
Springfield, Mass.
Do they also have European prototypes?
@@marvinbanka7592 yes, their were European trains present at this train show

What about the Railroader
Congratulations! I'd like to know more about that trolley in the lower right as I'm building a trolley layout.
Yes I love having trolleys in a layout. I was fortunate to review one of the newest bachmann Pcc trolleys.
Congratulations on your degree. You could change the name to your model railroad name. I remember when you started this channel you come a long way, keep doing what you're doing.
