thanks so much. I loved coloring both those pages but I was nervous to color the portrait bc it was my favorite in the book. she is such a talented artist and Grains of Gold is my favorite.

I’m having such a problem with iMovie. When I film on my phone, everything is well in frame but when I load it onto iMovie it magnifies or something. I can’t seem to figure it out. I think I have to try another app to edit. I’m glad you liked it anyway. Thanks for sharing. Also I’m glad you don’t need to reference satan after hearing my voice. 🤣🤪 too funny!

it took me days to do that spread! And you’re right, I was over it too. I was really sloppy in the end and just started using gel pens to fill in spaces. It is a beautiful book but it is challenging.

Thanks so much! I don’t usually have a tough skin with people I care about but I know these people just want to hurt people. I keep reminding myself that it’s not about me at all. I think it’s funny that trolls do what they do. I mean why don’t they just get a hobby if they’re really bored..why get your jollies insulting people. That’s why it’s so funny to me. I’m glad you agreed. Most people have a very positive experience so we might have gotten defects but I’m not willing to buy another one to see if that was the problem. I bought a really inexpensive one from Afmat and it’s working well so far and I’ve had it just over a year now

agreed, I really thought that the paper quality would have been better because of the higher price but I guess you are right, it went into the hard cover instead of the paper.

I know I am supposed to but I didn’t bc I thought that they wouldn’t be returnable if I did. I hadn’t realized what an awful return policy Castle Arts has. Does sharpening make that much of a difference bc my hand was aching.

@@Dianedreamsincolorsupposedly there’s a wax layer that protects the pencils from breakage during shipping.

I agree. it’s a stunning book. I have a buddy color in august so I have to do something in it by then. I think watercolor would be a great media to use and I think the paper will be ok with some water. wish me luck 😂

Thanks, that’s my favorite page I’ve ever colored. Like an idiot, I did not write down exactly which pencils I used but I did follow My Colourful Country Life do her Polychromos Metal Combos video that she did when I started coloring it. I just can’t remember if I did her Gold or Light Gold combo. Go check out her video and you’ll see the color combos of each. I also added some of the reflection colors which were not part of her video but it was just some dark red on the top. I hope this helps.

I think starting with watercolor is a good idea. It’ll fit the images well.

I think I agree. I don’t feel comfortable coloring in it again. It does piss me off a bit that they don’t say it’s AI and we have to fish around for signs. As AI improves we will not be able to distinguish so easily. a lot of artists will lose their income.

they are getting better at it though. before we could tell by the hands but they are perfect in this book. they should be forced to label it as AI.

Thanks for the recommendation. Someone else recommended Golden clear glaze medium. Not sure if that was the exact name but it was a glaze. I will need to look up the difference between these two bc I’m not too sure what either is used for. Thanks again
