@@trucle2954 Views. Fuse had a hairline fracture, so continuity was intermittent testing with a multimeter.
Hello, I like this video; it helped me a lot to understand the system. I bought a bucket truck from an auction. It's a 2009 F550 ETI with two sets of buttons for turning the PTO on and off. I have done everything: checked the fuses and solenoids (I even replaced one). I also bought an oil pressure sensor for the pump because the light on the dash was blinking when I turned on the switch. After I installed the oil pressure sensor, the blinking stopped. However, the problem remains the same - the PTO won’t engage. Could the issue be a solenoid on the pump?

always test BOTH SIDES of your fuses with the test light. Visually checking fuses is useless.
@@HerbMoore3 Yes, I always test both sides. In this case, there was an intermittent continuity.
i Have a 2012 F550 with 6.8 gas. Found that pressure switch and Solenoid with melted wiring. i replaced the wiring and the two component and it the PTO will work. But it just stop working in just any moment. I found that power from the switch to the ECM at pin 11 and the power coming pin 8, but when cut of power stop coming out of pin 8. so, I was think it was the ECM. had and extra ECM i program it and changed it out and it is still doing the same thing. What safety feature am i missing making this happening

Did I give you any light like traction control
No traction control or hill assist message..!! This particular truck had a faulty start/stop module installed by the builder..!! They only wanted me to determine where the fault was and not actually repair it..!! I have seen the hill assist message cause an issue..!! If that's the case you may need to check the ABS braking system..!! Check the brake light bulbs, brake switch, and all electrical connectors (both at the ABS module and each wheel)... Hope this helps..!!

Been bit by that before. Fuses that appear ok but aren’t making contact. I always ohm suspect fuses to be sure. I also usually check for power on both sides of fuses when Im hunting problems.

Just got a 2010 vw cc komfort drive and same issue but I took the driver front window motor out and the next day it would crank, order a new one and it still has the issue, unplugged the new one and it still wouldn’t crank!!!
Either a localized connector/cabling related issue because it started working after you had it out OR it was just coincidence that it started working and is maybe a temperature related issue..!! Temperature related problems can be in wiring, connectors, or circuit board solder points..!! Either way it is still an electrical problem, which, can be extremely frustrating..!!

Hello Lee. I'm having issues with my PTO not engaging. 2011 F560 AT 37 I checked the voltage on SW... I have power there! Power leaves the SW on a gray wire into the dashboard. There is also power on the red wire of the LED indicator light. But no power is coming in on the blue and white wire that is attached to the white wire on the LED indicator light. where does the blue and white wire come from? Does the Blu- Wht wire complete the circuit to the PTO? I dont have schematics... Any information will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks, Lee
It should complete circuit at pto. Check at pto with power probe to ensure pto solenoid is working and all continuity is good through connector.
My Volkswagen Corrado SLC has had the worst parasitic draw ever from the window control module driver side. It’s been an absolute nightmare they say that the brown wire with the white stripe keeps the relay switch on any suggestions of how to fix it? I believe there’s a flaw in the design some say even swapping it out doesn’t work either.
My only solution has been replacing modules.

Is this a 10 CC cause I have the same exact problem I just bought one this week replace the battery and it’s still draining every day. They have that door replacement that you showed in the trunk and the dealer said that it needed replacing so I hope that’s my problem as well. replaced so I hope that’s the problem with mine

Yes it is..!! I failed to mention that during troubleshooting I will generally check all component connections related to the system failure. I should have corrected that in the video but I decided to let it roll.. The real takeaway is not to overlook related components and to check ALL connections.
This guy makes a lot of damage to the harness. Small holes in time makes corrosion and it cost to replace entire harness $3500 Bad bad bad. What ar you duing smart guy
I have a 2013 freightliner m2 with the same problem, it won't start and it tells me no transmission and I checked all the fuses and they are in good condition.. what would be the problem
First, I would connect a scan tool to check for any additional codes. Next, completely unplug connectors and inspect for corrosion at the TCM and at the transmission. Make sure the dipstick tube is not leaking on the tranny connector. Finally, validate continuity of wires(including connector pins) for all power, ground, and data in the harness. Good luck..!!
A fuse can appear to look good but not be making a connection
Yes indeed..!! I've seen every kind of fusebox failure, from hairline cracks like this, to fuse bases that don't contact the blade, to burnt circuit board traces.

Had a glass company change my passenger window. My first drive the next day I had to get towed home because the battery died. I checked the battery when I got home and it was 10 volts. I removed the power window fuse and charged the battery and it drained again. ?????

Hey Lee, this is why I love UA-cam, it's the gift that keeps on giving. You did this video in 2020 and it just helped me now. I suddenly had this problem with an auction car I bought. Got a new battery and then one morning it was dead again. I knew I had a drain but was racking my brain trying to figure it out. 1.9A while resting then removed the same SA1 bus and BOOM! So instead of just starting replacing them randomly I think since the driver's rear doesn't seem to react right I'll disconnect that one first and then retest. Thanks for the video. I might shoot one of my own and give you credit for the information.

Having same fault but the Tcm fuse does have power..grounds good ohms good.. changed harness..got a new TCM but it still doesn’t have communication. Any suggestions please?

PLEASE HEEEEEEEELP!!!! I’m having the exact same problem. Swapped turbos, replaced egr, leaned the nipple on the Intake, changed the hose to the MAP sensor, replaced the MAP sensor, replaced air cleaner, and I STILL get -2.1 psi boost at idle and around 5.0 psi on the freeway. Now sporadically after engine is hot I can get a laaaazy 12-14psi under about 75-85% throttle, but not for long, and the boost goes up and down fluctuating under a load between 11-14psi during that time. Under light acceleration on the street the truck pulls smooth. When the boost show low or sub zero engine idle is rough. When boost shows 2.7-3.5 psi at idle engine idles great and pulls off great will lay you back in the seat. But that only happens when the EGR is either freshly cleaned or when it’s first replaced. Then after 5-10 minutes that dream goes away. Ficm main power shows a steady 47.5-48.0 volts. The sync monitor on the scan gauge shows 1 indicating crank and cam sensors are working properly, I changed the fuel filters, and the oil yesterday now running STP 15w40, ICP SHOWS 583 at idle and as much as 3700 under acceleration getting on freeway or a hard pull, IPR occasionally shows 73.3 but rare. I have seen high 60’s frequently. Guys I’ve done about everything I could think of or know of…..what’s next EBP tube and sensor ??? I’m starting a new turbo build with a 10 blade balanced assembly from KC. VGT vanes have always been in the back of my mind and has never really left. That prompted the turbo build. I often wonder if a plugged cat could potentially create such a problem as well. I need all the pointers and advice I can get. Has anyone dealt with this type issue before? This truck is all stock except for the air cleaner which came with the swapped turbo. I haven’t tuned or changed anything else from factory parameters or specs. I noticed there are no rubber grommets on the FICM. I’m wondering if vibration over the years could have had its effect on the FICM? Everything is pretty much original on this truck 2005 Excursion 6.0 with 186,000 miles. Up til this happened all she ever asked me for was a HPOP and an alternator. This has been the most dependable 6.0 ever. Just under friggin powered and I can’t figure it out!!!! HEEEEEEEELP!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Same problem. Back left door no power. I replaced the locking module. Still nothing. I can here a click in the electronics every few seconds. Im guessing the car is trying to do something electronically but the control module isnt letting it and maybe thats why its draining the battery. My next thing is to go and replace the control module. I disconnected the control module and the clicking sound is gone away. I disconnected it to see hopeffully it might stop draining the battery while i get the part. In the meantime ive put the door back together. I also turned the lock on the side of the door to keep it locked from the outside because its not doing it by key. The child lock was also on. Now i cant open the door at all. What do i do?

I have the draining battery disease. 2009 VW CC 2.0 I know my door/widow control terminal...switch blocks have been rain damaged. My next move is disconnect them on a stretch of nice days so I can lv the windows down an inch or so. See if battery stops running down.

Examine and clean all aftertreatment component connections then clear codes and run a forced regen. See if it completes regen without codes. If it kicks codes, follow the first code kicked..!!

Hello. My PTO will not engage after I've been on the freeway (I'm assuming getting warm). After I have let it sit for about 5 to 10 mins, It will work. If I just drive around town, It will work every time, But as soon as I take it on the freeway... nothing, until it " cools down". The engine temp is just fine, and the coolant bottle is full. Any suggestions?. Any way I just bypass something?
All temperature related data should be validated against vin specific specs, including transmission temps.
