Fyro T22 Backpack Full Walkthrough
Really like what I see! Zippers security!!! 😮🎉. Hydrolock! 🎉 it’s just missing a top quick access pouch. Can’t wait for presale!
Zippers security is priceless!
Zip security! Priceless! 🎉
I’ve been watching Aaron a lot recently and came to this project. Kudos on the security thinking. I really like the thought into the zipper security to help detergent theft. I would love to see different material options like Cordura or something similar to Bellroy. Very clever on the water bottle holder hydrolock. I would add something for the strap to swivel, similar to the peak design.
The only thing that’s not making this a perfect backpack for me is the lack of organization in the main compartment. Seeing everything all jumbled up in there felt like a clutter mess. Especially if you take a lot of tech gear. Maybe have 2-3 extra pockets, sorta like the navigator 15Ls main compartment could resolve this issue! Apart from that this is a perfect backpack 🔥
Really appreciate your feedback! We definitely have a belief that 'less is more' when it comes to pockets in the main compartment, as most carry-enthusiasts are utilizing tech pouches for organization these days. We will def consider adding more pockets to future bags!
Is there a back pocket on both sides?
There is!
Bruh maybe it’s the bag when it’s empty but when you pushed it with your thumbs …. Suuuuuuuuuch a satisfying feeling
😏
This is bag ASMR isn't it.
asmr af ;)
Can’t wait for the preorders to start shipping!!
us too!!
Dang, I was just ever so slightly late to going down the tech/edc backpack rabbit hole; I missed this Kickstarter by mere days! Are the pre-sales expected to ship significantly later than backers? I have a trip early next year and would jump on this in a heartbeat if I can get it before departing.

Amazing backpack. Are we still able to preorder it?

warning; do not operate heavy machinery while wearing the Fyro T22, it's so damn comfy you risk falling asleep

Right shoulder swing >> NO!
for you or for everyone?
@@Fyro_official For me, of course. I would argue that the standard should be left shoulder swing for several reasons. Just as there're no left-handed cameras, so everyone must adapt. I, as most people, wear a watch on my left wrist, which would be on the way every time I would attempt a right shoulder swing. Very annoying. For this reason I had to send to permanent storage my Tortuga, Minaal, and Thule, and decided to stick with Evergoods, Aer, Boudary, Heimplanet and Peak Design, among other brands that do it 'the right way' (for me).
@@exergyone7164 appreciate your feedback!
Awesome and hilarious at the same time. Love it. Is it a backpack or perhaps the largest sling? 😊Love the versatility.
thank so much!!
Realticslly, I'd put everything in the backpack, except my phone. But I guess it's just an extra option and added security. I'd put the phone on the back pocket where you'd put your wallet or passport. That's against your back and much more secure I guess. But 99% of the time, it'll be in my pocket anyway
I'm with you, but like you said it's there just in case!
Can’t wait for this back pack. Great job Aaron 👍…
Thanks for your support!
Very cool. I didn't realize that keys could be kept in multiple easy access places. The hatch seems like a great location as well. Very versatile.
Agreed!
Great video. Quick access is indeed key. That's why I favor sling bags and backpacks that offer quick access options. This is also one of the reasons why I'm very intrigued by your backpack. It seems to have some great quick access options and does so in a beautiful and intuitive way. This bag is next level.
Thanks so much for that epic feedback! Quick access was crucial when we designed this pack, and doing so in a way that provides versatility is was crucial 💪
In the video it seems like the front pocket is not filled with the stuff, it's almost empty (glasses/airpods/wallet) and in this case - it's functional on the video. But if the backpack is loaded fully (including the main compartment and the front pocket itself), the functionality is going to be lost completely. Great idea but a bad realization 'cause not sure the people will use the backpack when it's half empty.
Thanks for your comment! I think it's important to acknowledge that filling out just about any backpack will compromise it's accessibility, but the T22 is designed in a way to reduce that as much as possible (while still maintaining a sexy silhouette). And also the front Hatch wasn't designed for larger items, it's really just meant for your smaller bits of gear that you want quicker access to 💪
@@Fyro_official I don't say the idea is bad and has no sense. That front pocket should be at least wider if you follow that idea to place even the small items, because now how I see from the side of full load, it's pretty small but accessible)
@@yurasapoz thanks for your perspective!
Can't wait to get my hands on mine to find this dang vault 😂
😏
Loved it! What would be awesome if i could have carried the bag sideways somehow, that really helps in business environments. Maybe a handle like a duffle on the sides would nave been awesome. Something like the aer flight pack 3?
Great suggestion! I think that side handles/duffels work very well for some packs (like the Aer Flight Pack 3) because it was intended to be carried that way. The T22 in contrast was designed just to be a backpack and have a relentless dedication to being the best at that (as opposed to trying to do too many things at once). Overall there's no right or wrong way, but we do hope to make a more business friendly brief/backpack in the near future!
Anything bigger like 40/45l? And with hip-belts and load lifters
not yet, but hopefully in the near future!
I missed the campaign!!!! 😢 How can I get my hands on one of these?!

@@Fyro_official Thanks. I sadly wasn’t a part of the emails, but I signed up through the website. I look forward to the presale 🎉 Thanks for all the hard work you put in!
@@ryanplitt7102 thanks so much!!
I hope in a year or two, while you're making your slings to rival companies like bellroy, you also make a smaller backpack to this. Something similar to the alpaka metro 12L. The T22 will be useful for me, when I need to carry a lot of stuff to work which includes food and drink as well as my 14 inch laptop. But there are also times where I won't be taking much and a backpack half the size would be ideal. I currently take the tomtoc 9L sling which is perfect for my 14 inch macbook and even has a second sleeve for an iPad or any other tablet and it fits any sized iPad in the smaller sleeve. Even my 14 inch macbook fits in the smaller tablet sleeve, but that doesn't have a separate compartment. Maybe it would add extra bulk, that's why they didn't do it. But if you make one with a separate compartment with a false bottom, with two slots but everything else is as close or better than alpaka metro 12L it would be perfect. Max size I'd want is between 9-12L
Hoping to make a smaller backpack later down the line - thanks for the suggestions!
@@Fyro_official any updates on your bellroy rival sling?
@@mohammedfaiisal we are focusing relentlessly on taking care of the Kickstarter backers, once we have everything in motion there we will start to make some new products and will have the community help vote and develop it. Details coming soon!
Can’t freaking wait!
us too!!
You know I have been wondering how much the bottle holder will imper the use of the pocket, it kinda look to me that while the zipper isn't close-able, the ability to access the pocket itself is still there. So maybe you'd be able to put stuff in that hook into the Keychain anchor so they won't fall out
It's certainly possible, but something I haven't tested myself so can't say for sure
@Fyro_official personally would love to get some info. Feel it'll be a good way to hide a wallet or something. Most people aren't gonna check behind the water bottle for a pocket, and even if you know about it, it doesn't seem like a very accessible pocket while the bottle is out and the bag is worn, can also just be a permanent living spot for a public transportation card
Amazing backpack. Thanks for sharing the journey with us. I look forward to getting one.
thanks so much!
Being in Hong Kong ,its a proper move and very funny !!! reminds me of “Hong Kong Phooey “ !!!
🙇♂️ 🇭🇰
Sir you tease
just spreading some excitement ;)
@@Fyro_official here’s a good question if it’s not fully pact and there’s nothing in the laptop sleeve can’t the Fyro back be not compressed but like push down for tight spaces
@@wickedheathen7347 Great question! It's definitely possible, but not recommended. The #1 goal of this bag was comfort, so we made a strong back panel that would help create the most comfortable carrying experience possible :)
Irrelevant, considering the T22 is not available to order
Still relevant, just gotta wait a bit longer til our pre-sale begins!
👍
🔥
but can you show us how fast you can access the vault
🤫 😜
Will you be making a version of the bag for camera gear?
Great question! We don't have any immediate plans to do so but if we get enough requests we'll def consider it :)
I missed the Kickstarter campaign… how much does the T22 weigh?
It weighs 2.7 lbs. Thanks for reaching out and wanting to support our launch! If not let shoot me an email aaron@fyro.co and I'll get you in so you can get notified once the pre-sale goes live!
Imagine a sling version of this bag - that would be dope. Like a great alternative to the Aer/Alpaka slings. Maybe someday! Keep up the good work guys.
Maybe one day, cheers!!
I don't know if I missed it, but have you done a video with a full load out of the hatch - for example a full tech load out with AirPods/TWS earbuds, charger, cables, power bank, a SSD drive, a USB hub... etc. Maybe a compact camera (Ricoh / Fuji x100) Or an EDC load out with a few tech items + a few EDC items?
Basically, want to get an idea of how well this could replace a small tech pouch for daily use.
@@ArpanCJ Not yet! Closest thing is probably the Nomads Nation review - ua-cam.com/video/uFTGJexabIk/v-deo.htmlsi=MXoFSUjHUNZUruwc&t=329
@@Fyro_official Do you think you'll do something like that - something that shows how much you can potentially fit into the hatch, if you really need to push it? Both when the bag is full, and the hatch has less space, and when the bag is empty and the hatch can expand inwards and fit a bit more?
@@ArpanCJ It's something we'll consider for sure!
Hey, super cool video! To follow up on the question above, what is gonna be the retail price and estimated delivery for post kickstarter sale? Where can I do a pre order? I found your product just now, looking for a new backpack and I am also interested in getting one! Also I am hoping you guys will do a larger version for travelling, that would be awesome! Keep up the work, super cool videos and kudos to the production team!
Thanks so much! Retail will be $285, but we'll be running a pre-sale in the next month or so for $249. Shoot me an email to aaron@fyro.co and I'll get you signed up on our email list so you can get notified once the pre-sale goes live :)
Well everyone should always have a pen in a tech backpack like that. I don't carry paper with me, I'm digital. But my 2 pen penholders are fitted with pens. For techies, it's perfect for a digital pen, because they don't come with a clip. Those are expensive, I can't take a chance of loosing them. Please add that pocket for your bag!
Great feedback! We weren't able to include any penholders in V1 of this backpack, but if we get enough requests it could be something we add in V2 a few years down the line.
Great video showing all the features. Like the documentary style
thanks Bo!
Can't wait til we get it!
coming soon!!

nice backpack like it except the way u put the sunglasses it will spoiled and scratches suppose to be hard shell
Thanks for your feedback! I've been putting my sunglasses in those power mesh pockets for years of testing now - never scratched or spoiled them once!
Incredibly excited to use this awesome backpack as my daily for work and business travel! Looking forward to more Fyro content in the upcoming months!
thanks mate and we plan to do a TON of awesome content teaching our backers how to get the best value from their T22 bags :)
“A million here, a million there “
weezie always hits that 'get shit done' spot!
Congrats Aaron, I've been following your progress on this bag from the start. I'm looking for a travel bag who's main purpose is to be used as a personal item (not my carry on) when traveling on airplanes. I do realize that different carriers have varying specs for a personal item size. Would you recommend your new bag for this purpose? Do you feel it will meet most major airline requirement specs for sizing and fit comfortably underneath the seat? Thanks for any comments you may have.
Thanks so much! And yes, aside from some hardcore/budget EU and Asian airlines this bag will fit on basically any plane as a personal item. I am currently traveling one month in the USA with ONLY this bag and it's gone under the seat of Cathay Pacific, Breeze Airways, and Avelo. Like you said - it will vary based on different circumstances, but at 18" tall and 12" wide it's about as big as a personal item can get while still getting through.
Great, Thanks for your reply, it's greatly appreciated.
Congratulations, Aaron - this back looks AWESOME! I can hardly wait to get mine. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
thanks so much for supporting our journey!
Wow shout out to Da Carter classy choice
lil wayne is the GOAT !
Is there any concern of the waterproofness of the quick access pouch? Or does the flap really do the trick?
Great question! The Hatch is basically a modern take on a traditional 'flap' that hundreds of backpacks use. These types of compartments are extremely water resistant as long as the bag is upright, but hypothetically if the bag were on it's side while it was raining some water could get through as there are crevices. But for most people in nearly every situation, the weather-protection on this bag will be perfectly fine! Let me know if I can clarify anything else :)
