There have been several hacks done to this port to try and fix some of its issues. This Ultimate 1.1 version aims to improve a ton of things and bring this ever closer to parity with The Playstation masterpiece. Let's check it out. meduza-team...

I finally got my Atarimax 5200 Ultimate SD MultiCart This process took much longer than it should have but I am not alone and many other customers have been waiting far longer. The cartridge itself works great and I am very happy with it but dealing with Steve at Atarimax.com has been terrible. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. If you order from him then be aware that there have be...

Giving the Saturn so much needed love 😘 and the best 🏰 Castlevania SOTN...
…never played this before…looks like I need to, great video as always sir!!!
Great video Cyrus 💯 I love this one more than the PlayStation version. I'm one of those people who knows it like the back of my hand. Never use a magazine nor any walk throughs to finish it. Hated the tank controls at first but, after getting used to it now I believe it a best way to do survival horror games. Also, that battle mode is awesome.
This is a good one; I got the real deal just this year.
Thanks for sharing man! I just recently finished Dracula x .The final Dracula fight struggle was real I must have went at it for two three hours before I beat him!
F that game. Ball crushingly difficult, and at times cheap (artificial difficulty). Still love it. Haunted Castle will haunt your dreams though and I definitely don't love it. I'm looking forward to playing the remake though, cuz I seen potential in that PoS.
@@jonathanbetenbender307 Castlevania 4 is a better game but I like Dracula x more. Right now I've been just attempting hard games with strategies and in some of them I even record myself playing to find out where I'm making my mistakes. It's part of a self-improvement thing I'm doing.
I like this game a lot, it's my second favorite RE game after the second one. This version of the game though, I both like and struggle to play. There's Extra content only ever found on the Saturn version I don't believe it ever came to any of the remakes or anything? I could be wrong there. That stuff is really cool, and it makes this game a cool piece to collect. But the actual game play experience of RE1 v1.0 is really tough. It's so hard to aim in the original cuts of this game, you can certainly get the hang of it, but the gameplay is very unforgiving. The same is true of the original PS1 version, but the Green Label and the Director's Cut version of the PS1 both were patched to have just a little bit of auto aim/target lock on, and that goes a long way to make this game a lot more playable. There were other changes as well quite a few QoL changes were added after the first version of this game, but the aiming changes really make the game feel better to play. Even though this is probably the most difficult way to play RE1, it's still worth it so you can see the extra content though.
@@EatingCtrlV I think I will have to pkay through the Japanese version. I didnt realize how much uncut stuff there was
@EatingCtrlV It definitely takes some getting used to (V1) but, if you can learn to fight without much ammo the guns become a privilege to use. I remember the first time I saw the long box addition aboard ship in the NAVY. A friend had purchased it for the PS and I thought it was great, problem was it wasn't on the Saturn 🪐 yet and I didn't want a PS at that moment. I have the PlayStation versions now and will be getting a copy of the Saturn version simply for nostalgia hence it was my favorite game for many years. It still is...
@@apocalypticminister1369 Oh absolutely you can get used to it. Also I agree, you kinda try to knife as much as possible anyway and use the gun as needed. Some of the angles are also much more forgiving to aim with, I find that I can hit the zombies head a lot easier if I can see the zombie coming towards the camera, where it's hard if the zombie is walking away from the camera. I have a copy of this Saturn version myself, and if you have even a tiny bit of nostalgia for it you should get it for sure, the extra content makes it the version to play if you want the v1 original.
@@supermegagrafx64 I'm not sure how different the JPN version is from the NA Sat, but I know that the NA Sat version has content I don't think you can find on any other NA version, unless one of the rereleases contained it. There was different outfits and other stuff if I remember correctly.
@@EatingCtrlV Yea, I actually had a copy back in the day but sold it along with all my Saturn stuff I hate that I did that but I'm rebuilding it now.
I love this game, it's my favorite PS1 title by a mile, but I was really disappointed with the saturn release. Good to see someone is trying to fix the issues.
Spells!!
No "die monster, you don't belong in this world?" 😭
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
RR64 over every PS1 Edition except R4.
Kind of reminds me of Aggelos
Cyrus is showing us a retro styled video game? Never thought I would see the day!
👍🫶
14:49 out of stock - yeah not shit. final fantasy 7, symphony of the night, nhl 98, crash bandicoot 2, tomb raider 2, first grand theft auto game (atleast for us in europe), time crisis, abes odyssey and so on. AND it had pc ports like quake, diablo, warcraft and doom - a pc back then was expensive and you wouldnt have it in your own bedroom. Btw great video Cyrus, 15:45 hit home good- I was a kid back then but remember going to Toysrus and seeing those n64 boxes there... felt like visiting disney land and they had a n64 kiosk were you could play upcoming n64 games. Luckily I got a ps1+ n64 so never missed out any games.
Moogle's all about that Atari Jaguar
Moogle looks like a big Atari fan, especially the Atari Jaguar

Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Topgun Nes Game !
Hi, I bought a game controller in late 2022 intended for Playstation 3. This is the description: "USB Wireless Gaming Controller Gamepad for PC - Android Phone/TV - PS3 - 2.4Ghz". I just wanted to know if it's compatible with Playstation 5 ? Thank you
no way bro
lol this was "on sale" for like 17 seconds before it was snapped up hahaha. Good buy man, it's a pretty cool device, but you just picked up a new collection to work on as well. The Piko Collection 1 cart alone makes this system worthwhile, it's really good, I recommend Dragon View. Also look up what combination of carts unlock secret games!
Game gear the original steam deck
That cat is like open the damn box so I can go in it!
I get the feeling that cats don't care about video games
My dog loves watching video games, lol.
@PJSmith5 mine just likes dog videos 😂
I've always liked the idea of the Evercade. I have been collecting the carts for a good while but never pulled the trigger on the system until recently. Still haven't opened it. The latest release has a Tomb Raider collection pack-in. There's just something great about a system designed to preserve classics in a physical form.
Glad it got there safe bro and glad i can support your addiction of playing old ganes 😂. As far as the controllers I really liked them. They are pretty good quality. Can't wait for the evercade streams!
Why this game is not rare on used marked nowadays. E.g. $40 for cib copy. It's strange because I also don't believe that a lot of people bought them for $100 1994 ($210 today)
The original Missile Command is MC 2020 per Atari vcs.
Nice to be able to go back.... Neat!
Ahhh, the good ole days! I was stationed at Fort Hood, TX and have been to that mall. Simpler times!
She’s cute!
I used to spend all my hard earned Pizza Hut money at Babbage’s😅 That and electronics boutique. Great times!
I want to go back so bad
I can’t remember if had / played top gun as a kid. 🤔
Its pretty fun
can you add scanlines and change the resolution ?
I need to hook it back up and test it some more. Its been in a box for a whiie now. I will post here laterbthis week when Im able to do that
Yes you can add scan lines and change the output resolution. It has a lot of options and its a little tough to get the hang of it but its very nice.
@@supermegagrafx64 u mean complicated to change the settings?
can you add scanlines on this unit?
Funny, Im sure the folks over in the Atari discord could clarify.
well I guess the disadvantage is these cheap knock offs can't save game states. The Everdrive seems to be the only one that can.
Babbages was my FAVORITE Store I got my ps1 at Babbages the day it came out with tekken. Early ps1 games were in big cases almost like sega saturn type cases that's how my tekken came.
