Seafood Highlighter Dip: I recently made a great tasting dip using seafood highlighters , which we call imitation crab, here in the USA. I mixed cream cheese, sour cream, seafood highlighters cut into small chunks, diced celery and tabasco hot sauce. The tabasco could be replaced with any spices you enjoy. I refrigerated the dip for a couple of hours and served on crackers but if I had any nori (seaweed) on hand I would think that would have been great also.

I cook from scratch in large amounts then use containers that come in bulk buying and freeze meals. I find frozen meals from stores are too small. Make my own soups too and bag them flat for freezing. I grow my own veggies and bulk prep those also to freeze. I love to bake so,yes, I do freeze my bulk bakes also. I cannot cook small as we had eight children. I love saving money. Many years of having to be very thrifty I cannot change Now. I still have three living son’s living with us plus two Grandchildren so…😀👍💗💗

Recently I have been wondering how much money I save by markdown shopping compared to my past shopping habit which was more random. I would buy just whatever I saw that looked good, not paying much attention to price. It's hard to calculate exactly since I don't always buy the same items, just depending on what is on markdown. But I think I can say that I save at least 20% overall. Just paying attention to markdowns and sales makes me a more aware shopper, even when what I buy is full price.

In quite a coincidence the other day I made a soup almost exactly like your Asian inspired cabbage soup. The only difference was that I added some leftover chunks from one of Costco's rotisserie chickens. I don't know if you like Costco rotisserie chicken or not, but I think it is one of the best things available there. Here in Colorado it sells for $4.99 US or $8.03 Australian dollars.

We are a family of three!! And we divide the $65 membership fee between us!! So its just one membership for the three of us!! My brother takes turns in taking me and Mum too Costco!! Mum and I buy the mince and we divide it into two between the two of us and so its like $20 per way between the two of us!! I buy my feminine products in bulk too!! The only thing I find that Costco doesn't have a lot of is teabags like Tetley and/or Bushell's or something along those lines!!

I definitely would have picked up the 50c hommus! Plus the tikka masala and rice at the second discount!

Tiger Prawns!!! Amazing markdown find. I went to two different stores today (Christmas Eve) hoping that since the stores would be closed on Christmas Day there would be some good markdowns. No luck. Both stores were packed full of shoppers and there was absolutely nothing on markdown. Good for the profit margins of the stores but not so good for me. Oh well, I can always enjoy the great video of your markdown success. I love seeing the difference and similarities of groceries in Australia and the US. Finding and subscribing to your channel has been one of the highlights of UA-cam for me in 2024. Happy Holidays to you all.

I really enjoyed your Costco video. I was in my Costco here in Colorado this afternoon. It's funny how many things are the same , especially the Kirkland (Costco) brand. One big difference is your huge seafood selection. Colorado is about 800 miles ( or 1287 kilometers ) from the ocean so we don't get a lot of seafood. We have the salmon and lobster tails and the prepared prawn trays that you showed. But we never see whole fish of any sort at Costco. And is that shellfish really called "Bugs?" I could just imagine the question: What's for dinner? Answer: Bugs. I thought I would die laughing! Thanks for another great video.
