20 years ago I saw and handled the tail of a 25foot long carpet snake in Far north Queensland. My brother and I didn't see it in time and wheelied over it on our dirt bikes thinking it was a log. I grabbed the tail and wiggled it to shoo it off the track because more riders coming. I got it off the track in time. It was over a foot tall in the middle. I am not sleeping in the rainforest by myself ever again.

Sorry but I don't beleive alot of stuff this guy says. In all his podcast features he seems to tell wild stories so that it's more interesting and clickbaity. I've read 2 books by people who have lived and traversed the Amazon, one walked the Amazon river for 3 years solid and he had none of these wild stories of giant snakes, tribes trying to eat him. It's all clickbait for podcasts

I used to own a 10' Burmese python. I was REALLY into pythons and other snakes. So much so that I also worked at a reptile store, which the owner bred and kept HUGE reticulated pythons. Not as girthy as anacondas, but still huge. The owner of this reptile store used to power feed certain pythons to get them huge. His snakes were huge, but nowhere near what this self grandeous guy is talking about and describing. I've been to zoo's as well and went directly to the reptile exhibit to see all the snakes. To say that snakes fascinated me was a understatement! I read everything there was about big pythons, watched every video possible. What this guy is proclaiming is shere folklore types of tails. He falls back on his conservation background as being reputable. I'm no professional, but I at one time had a great wealth of knowledge and personal experience with large pythons. At least enough to know when I hear B.S! This guy's trying to make a name for himself by over exaggerating his stories.

So I can’t speak for other cultures but Mexican food developed as a way of taking a recipe and make it delicious in the way your family alone likes it. And over time you develop different dishes and tastes with the same ingredients which lead to the current state of Mexican food Btw try Enchiladas Suizas, Mole Poblano, Chile Relleno (Picadillo version)

Once you start trying to make your own Mexican food, you realize how complex it is. I think Mexican food is every bit as sophisticated as French or Italian. I think any random Mexican abuela could out-cook any random French chef, any time.

I’m with Joe my favorite foods are Mexican/Italian.
