Very nice to get a sub 1 on cam from a decent angle so that I can try to get these types of solves all the time Also for critique purposes I had the star and Red Blue planned in inspection

bro these definitely arent example solves wtf, u wouldnt do anything here at all in a real solve... you're meant to do your actual solves then analyse your solutions with commentary afterwards
@@faz0111 Maybe walkthrough solves is a better way to describe it. I know that during a solve sometimes I might not do something them most optimal because I’m not the best so I didn’t see the point in retracting to the audience my bad habits. In this setting I can fully analyse any position and try to keep it as realistic as possible and also give as much information as possible. So in this sense it wasn’t a case of me trying to show you exactly what I would do in a solve, it’s more so trying to get any knowledge I’ve got in my head into the audiences. And while what you’re saying is right I believe there is still much to gain from this type of video because at the end of the day in still showing what I believe to be the best and most optimal solutions and going into as much detail as possible. Hope this helps and happy cubing :)
Hey, just got here from your Sub-12 example solves video :) Solve 2: Don't regrip for Jb perm! Use your left index to push for the U move, then your right thumb for the F'. From Solves 4 and 5: Avoid solving FR as your first pair. It almost always makes you need to rotate for one of the 3 remaining pairs, or have to use awkward algs for them :( If you can get BL in first, then the rest of the 3 pairs are in nice spots (if you're right-handed). Solve 7: I was trying to see if your cross solution was appropriate, but i think it was a misscramble 😂No worries lol. I just wasn't sure if that rotation was necessary. Nice keyhole. Solve 8's last two pairs could have both been 2-gen. Rotate with y' or y. (Unfortunately, solving them completely 2-gen would leave you with a Dot OLL - so your solution was actually more appropriate, haha) Solve 9 was hilarious lmao Solve 10: During pair 3, you (accidentally?) rotate such that the last slot is in the back - this is sometimes correct, but due to EO here it was awful. The PLL messup was funny lol Solve 11: Glad to see you're dual color neutral. General: There were a handful of messups as you noticed. Some of your pair solutions are a little basic, but none are abysmal - that said, I think you're pausing a bit too much when you're setting up for a 3-mover. Try to see the psuedopairs/keyhole solutions, and try solving your crosses such that they set up a decent pair in the back (preferably BL) to start with (and don't start with FR unless it makes total sense). Quite a few pauses that you can see for yourself. I wonder if your *cube* is actually part of the problem - perhaps it's not tuned very nicely? Hard to tell on video, but perhaps that's contributing to the lockups. Overall nice!
I’m probably a bit overdue making an update to this as I now average 11 which is funny cause I said at the beginning if i fix the mistakes I would be 11 so that’s good! Thanks for the critique! Always appreciate advice
Hey, amazing solves! (And nice video quality! I can't believe you only have <500 subs :)) I'm around the same speed as you, so it's nice to see your thought processes. For the most part, I came up with nearly identical solutions! I think one thing that could improve your solves would be using keyholes more often. For example, at 9:27, here are some interesting solutions that solve DFR: 1. (L' U' L U) D' (L' U' L) -- or even any various moves that solve them as *psuedopairs* 2. If you chose to solve the orange-green pair first, as you did: U2 (L' U2 L) U2 D' L' U' L leaves you with a solved orange-green pair. Another similar situation at 13:34: D (R U' R') D' would solve the LF pair. --- As I'm sure you noticed yourself during the solutions, there were a few XCross opportunities. Something I've been doing lately has been practicing with csTimer's "easy xcross" scramble option (under WCA -> 3x3x3 -> easy xcross) - it's helped me see what various ways a seemingly obvious XCross might show up as in a scramble. --- Great use of EO-related observations, btw! One thing I like to remember is that 2-gen pair solutions *maintain* the orientation of all edges on the cube. So, if you're solving a pair into FR and it displaces a bad F2L edge that was in FR, you know that it'll stay bad afterwards (and would thus become good with a y or y' rotation). I often use this to lookahead to that next pair and set myself up for a 2-gen solution - though, this isn't always the greatest assumption (sometimes that bad edge's pair is just F' U F away lol). Your 2-side PLL recognition, pair solutions (individual pairs, at least), and overall "choosing good pair solutions to set up to a next good pair" are great! Keep it up and I'm sure you'll be sub-10!!!

and it's fricking magneticcccccc Diansheng has been going crazy for quite some time, magnetizing bigger and bigger puzzles like there's no tomorrow
I know and like Tony Fisher's Petaminx Ball very much, and I still watch his construction video of it a couple of times
Beautiful puzzle, but that would take a long time to solve. I'm not a speed solver, and I typically solve a Megaminx in about 8 minutes, and a Gigaminx in about 40 minutes. That's about 5 times longer. Applying that estimation to a Petaminx, it would probably take me about 16 hours to solve it. Let me know how long it ends up taking you to solve if you time yourself. FYI, now there's a 15x15 Minx out by Shengshou and a 29x29 Cube in the making by Yuxin.
Whats the 15x15 minx name .
@@SamOconnor-m1r I believe it's a Yottaminx, though for me personally, once it gets past a Petaminx (11x11) it's easier to refer to them just by the number of layers they have.

The video was really helpful. I am a sub 25 solver and I wanted to know that how do you solve so effortlessly and without lockups as I have a lot of them
@@Ryzhie.the.0ne thanks! I really appreciate this and I know I need to make more haha, just finding the time Locking up happens for a few reasons: Inaccurate turning/turning to aggressively and bad cube Bad cube is probably not the case, if you anything even remotely modern, it can handle it Some people really do try and turn too hard, have a test on your cube and see how lightly you can turn it and it still goes, having a lighter turning and focusing on each turning being accurate is really important and I’d recommend doing some targeted practise like this Get a 3x3 session up so you can scramble Don’t time the solve and just do the solve, slowly and try and make sure every turn is doing as fluidly and accurately as possible, this will help to rewire your muscle memory to turn better and just do this over and over. It’s quite helpful And also it might help to record some of your solves and watch what algorithms you struggle with and what moves you lock up on to see how you can improve those Might make a specific video for this
@ thanks
I don't think you should have any cases where you do 2 look OLL at this point. Watch Brian Sun's OLL video some of your OLL are strange. Also start working on 2 sided PLL recognition
