Fast Lap in 2'10"59 !! at Francorchamps in Jaguar XJR 14
Переглядів 156 тис.5 років тому
Fast Lap around Spa Francorchamps by C. d’Ansembourg in this Jaguar XJR 14
The engine in the original XJR 14 was Ford's Formula 1 HB V8 engine that was detuned for endurance racing
Why are the front wheels chattering?
2 feet 10 inches?
Looks glued to the road
I had the privilege to build the chassis for these beasts back in the early 90’s Great days working for TWR astec.
Sounds like a sport bike
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ....
Jaaaaaag!
A real race car driver using one hand to shift
the bubble-ish aspect of the cockpit really gives a futuristic vibe
Steering wheel angle like a farm machine...
Awesome drive to P1 too 🙂
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😤
🔥🔥🔥
Is this car has almost same sound as F1 1988

I know this car is very expensive but come on he should push at least a little more. Also a weird setup on it.
Redline 11 1/2 ?or it goes higher?
What a soundtrack.
No heel-toe needed for downshift, the car's a sticky rat!!! Anyone can drive this rocket and that's what made the XJR-14 awesome
*PromoSM*
12000 RPM???
But their windshield wiper technology sucks ass.
c'est loin des F1 qui passent le raidillon sans lacher et arrivent à plus de 320 en bout des 2 lignes droites..... mais c'est mieux que les 25h de spa en dedeuche.
2016? camera looks like it's from 1986
Fantastic driving! Great line! You know your stuff!!
Not really
The doubel lefthander with 195kph. Hanilton do it on the monster benz 295kph. 2020
he did not take radillon flat out - i am disappointed
bro's pulling upwards of 2g's🛐🛐🥵
Group C is a blessing.
Cheer !!! Great race!!! But why this wiper in the middle of the cockpit? I find that this affects the good visibility of the circuit…
Race cars were infinitely cooler back then
Sucks
not as fast top speed as i would have thought
I remember when they brought it to America to run IMSA Toyota & Nissan was mad. IIRC it ran at Miami took pole by a couple seconds and IMSA was like "whoa". Made them lower the scoop for the engine. It didn't really slow it down since it was basically a F1 car with fenders.
It was very fast, but then Peugeot came and it was even faster.
Not just any F1 car with fenders. An F1 car by Ross Brawn - and we know what he went on to do later in his career.
You also forgot to mention that was also without any development throughout 1992, so it was essentially an outdated car too

Awesome
What a beautiful machine😍🤤
Near perfect setup, eating up the course. Nice!
Why near
@@gabrielechimento8719 ask the driver.
@@ItsMe-vg4vj bro don't shy away from the question, you said "near perfect", I'm curious now and I don't wanna analyze the vid frame by frame cause I got things to do.
@@gabrielechimento8719 then dont come at me like that bozo. Figure it the hell out instead of someone having to tell you.
@@ItsMe-vg4vj man you really resorted to insults just cause you can't back up the words you say. You really are a joke.
After seeing the 919 EVO in Spa, this seems rather sub par... stopped watching just as it exited Raidillon.
I think we (the human race) should all apologise to you for this video of a car decades older not achieving the same lap time as the 919 EVO. Perhaps a crowdfunding campaign to compensate you for your valuable time lost would be in order. I would personally like to offer you a testicle massage as tribute. Oh what an unholy crime you have had to endure watching this lap all the way to Eau Rouge.
Imagine that, a 30 year old racecar being much slower than a state of the art, unrestricted prototype with massive downforce and probably 400hp more 🤡
You know this is a video from the past right? I'm going to define this word for you because I have a feeling it's going to help! The past is defined as something that happened previously, "gone by in time and no longer existing." So in this case, that's the year 1991 or there abouts, which was about 32 years ago. I have a feeling you've never been in a sports car and if you saw this in person it would blow your mind.
That car has tonnes of understeer, no doubt it's there intentionally to stop the driver risking crashing such a legendary race car.
Looks like they have a very loaded rear wing, by the top speed.
There's a XJR14 for sale currently. It was made using all the spares from the originals and comes with all the bodywork forms so new panels can be made. Love seeing classics racing and going for it rather than sitting in private collections.
could have been pushing well over 300kmh on the straights but yea understeer slow it way down
@@garretfisher2217understeer doesn't slow the car on the straights
Very solid lap.
The wonderful noise !! 🤤🤤
Awesome looking and sounding machine.
Insano .. insano ..
good sound
カムに乗って(カムのオーバーラップ)パワーバンドのった時の音が最高!
In 2016, Nico Rosberg's pole lap at Spa was 1:46:744, so, hey...
25 year old sportscar driven by an amateur slower than state of the art F1car driven by world champ shocker…… In their day these would have made the F1 grid despite weighing 50% more than an F1 car.
In 1991, Senna's pole was 1:47:811, which the Group C cars wouldn't get close to, and if they were more than 5.5 seconds off they'd not qualify. It'd get worse in 1992 as the F1 cars now had Automated Gearboxes and Active Suspension, there's no comparison then. You might make an argument in 1995 as they tried to slow the cars down but Group C didn't exist anymore thanks to Papa Bernie
@@afoxwithahat7846 these things were a lot quicker in their day. Spa was a bit quicker too. Not that they didn't trail f1 care by a fair margin but this was not even close to being a full push lap.
@@kantina4765 It may not have been a full push lap. But we can guess how much it would improve. Power was about the same, 620-680 hp for F1 and Group C cars in 1988. 575kg for F1 and 800kg for group C. They do have the benefit of covered wheels which would allow them to reach and surpass 400km/h. But they would still suffer massively due to lack of investment/development. F1 cars had a lower center of mass, bigger tires, much nore freedom on experimental aerodynamic devices, less limit on downforce, plus bigger interest by the most skilled drivers. Senna and Schumacher drove at Lemans, but it wasn't really it for them. (Sure it's easier today to see how great of a series Group C was, but anyway) In the era of computer aids that would follow, 1989-1993, the top cars were impossibly fast for anything to compete. I recall there was a season you'd press the break on the limit and hold a button, the computer would then time the downshifts to increase brake performance, that was on one of the top teams, my guess would be Williams.
Ja ab 4000 Umdrehungen kommt Freude auf
That downforce though...
that was cool:)
