I agree. Manual saves are definitely needed for the entire challenge in general. It's relatively easy to draw out the Italian elites from the catacombs. All you have to do is stand below that stone wall where the one hangs out and fire off your rifle a few times. They'll come running within minutes from that tunnel. It's a tight angle, but you should be able to hit them from the very top of the round tower stairs. At worst, you'll have to repeat the process several times.

Mosin Nagant. But they should all be just as loud as one another, except the De Lisle, which is suppressed. I'm firing during the sound mask, but in A+ it's hard to tell since the symbol for it is removed from the top of the screen. HTH. Lemme know if you have any other questions.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. By far my favorite mission from SE3 and worth all the blood, sweat, and tears in doing it with full stealth.

Thanks for the tip. I tried the SVT once but found the handling a little awkward. Otherwise, it would be ideal for Survival.

@@skarabraen The best thing to do is to upgrade the svt 38 to gold, then it shoots much better and is much easier to handle, believe me

Thank you! I tend to avoid throwing rocks early in a mission if I can help it, since it leaves the risk of the alert spreading across the map. On this one, by the time I reach the building with the map of the convoy route, there's a decent chance that the NPCs would be thrown off & randomly searching about, making stealth that much tougher.

Agree. SE3’s Authentic did a better job of striking a balance on this by giving direction/distance to an objective. There's the second exfil point just below the AA gun that’s taken out at 42:35, but it's nearly impossible to reach without detection.

I would but I don't think I'd have anything very new to offer. I recommend creating a DOPE book of shots with your chosen rifle-reticle combination and noting the proportion of the wind with each shot according to the distance.

I would love to see your book of shots and what do you use to remeber. I saw a video that was using imaginary heads to estimate the wind compensation.....but for me it doesn't work You use landmarks of the scope to remember how far on the left or right to aim?

​@@KonstantinosEvgeniou Sometimes, yes. At first, there was a lot of trial & error in using the marks on the reticle itself. But I always start by doing a proportion of the wind indicator. For example, at 100 meters with a Mosin, it's .32 or roughly 1/3 of the distance on the wind indicator. For 200 meters, it's .61 or roughly 3/5. At 300 meters, .92 or roughly 9/10. If this distance aligns with a mark on the reticle, then I make note of that *if* the wind is a conveniently whole number. For me, it's more empirical than theoretical in interpreting the reticle marks, since those will vary from rifle to rifle, and not just with the wind and distance. I recommend going to the firing range, recording your gameplay as you take shots on targets, then, on a PC or whatever, measuring in pixels the distance on the wind indicator versus where your shots land.

​@@KonstantinosEvgeniou Glad to hear it! Pushing your skills higher is always a good thing. And don't forget that nothing beats tons of practice. Commit the wind and gravity values to memory in, say, 50-meter increments first. That'll let you interpolate the values of intermediate distances when needed (e.g., 75m, 140m, 175m, etc.) Then head on out and jump into Solo Survival. It's only a matter of time until it all clicks. Good luck!

LOL. I'm afraid not. Half of them keep to a prescribed route, while the rest stay within assigned bounds, though move randomly. I'd played this through so many times that I'd learned to choreograph it, more or less. I have in the description a link to a brief guide I'd written on this challenge. It lays it out in more detail. I recommend creating a DOPE logbook to record the effects of wind and gravity on your shots at varying distances. In the end, you want measurements that give you a proportion of the wind (the X distance) by bullet drop (the Y distance). The more accurate these are, the better. When starting V2, 3, and 4, I would record footage of my shots, download them to a desktop, then measure these for exact figures. Once finished, you should have entries like “100m (distance): .5 (your X proportionate to the wind) x .3 (your Y as measured by the reticle marks)”. From there, just practice and practice until it clicks. Patience is key.

Thanks! Yeah, this is the most challenging map of the whole campaign, imo, and stealthily getting the safe code off that officer is the most challenging part. My approach here is a bit hacky but by far the most effective of the ones I'd tried.
