Ngl my least favorite 21 pilot album is Vessel :/ my favorites are Blurryface, Trench, and Clancy after forcing myself to listen to every song by them at least once
peak
Does anyone remember going to a store like Kohls and buying a shirt that came with a mini CD? Im struggling to find anything about it online, some of the songs in those cds was amazing and i would love to figure out which bands did this!
@@yuzukicj44 there’s some mini CDs at some of the record stores I go to
I feel like if you like Crying you should listen to the album “Kids” by The Midnight. Really fun, dreamy synth. One of my favorite albums.
Great band recommendations! Crash of Rhinos also has a special place in my heart. You may or may not know this, but some members from the Crash of Rhinos started another band called Holding Patterns. Highly recommend! Slightly more indie but still has those great instrumentals.
@@tillly_menziesii6148 that name sounds familiar, I’ll have to look them up!
Always been a bit fan of the band Brave Little Abacus, they only released 2 albums when they were still active, they've got a bit of an experimental thing going on in their music, lots of horns, synths and 7+ minute songs
@@musiciantrapper I’ve listened to some Brave Little Abacus, I like them! I might put them in a future video
I didn't know any of these bands, thank you for the recs! (imho the most iconic bands of the revival era are Spanish Love Songs and The Hotelier, it speaks a lot about the wide variety of good bands in one genre when two people can have entirely different lists of "iconic bands" from the same era)
@@JohannesVIII Spanish Love Songs are so underrated. But I always considered them more of a punk band in the same vein as The Menzingers or The Gaslight Anthem.
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor Fair enough, they're kind of under both these genres umbrellas, yeah
@@JohannesVIII The Hotelier is definitely one of the best emo revival bands, though. Home Like No Place is There is one of the greatest emo albums of all time.
your so cool please don't die
What a great video. Foxy will forever be one of the most underrated bands. I saw them touring The Flamingo Trigger opening for a band called Beneath The Sky. I had never seen a live show like that before and haven’t since unless it’s seeing Foxy again.
I dont really listen to new bands unless they end up in my spotify que because like usually theu have plently of songs and sometimes their songs are very different from each other so i cant decide wich song to listen to but now i wanna listen to Twenty One Pilots even though ive literally neve listended to them :D ty!
Danger Days is literally my favorite album from the band 😭😭 it makes me feel like i'm going on an adventure in the desert
@@MoonieTheMenace it’s like a movie for your ears
I've always been a casual fan of twenty one pilots. I've never been to a show and never been involved with the fandom. I came across scaled and icy when browsing CDs and gave it a shot. I liked it. I loved shy away and formidable. I was really surprised when I learned that it was a highly disliked album. Like. It's not bad at all. Not my favorite music but still a bop. I still don't get the hate.
@@asher3491 it’s a solid album. Not their best, but far from the worst
I keep reading Reddit posts from years ago that claim that Ryan is a ghostwriter for songs and i think that’s the only thing keeping me sane these days because i cannot imagine how miserable I’d be if Ryan stopped writing music
@@Ayooshii I can see that
I'm sorry but Brendan Urie has one of the best voices ... Wow .... Great band great singing great music

Crazy how covid is over 4 years old
Hi, just found your review of SAI today, so jumped over here. Did this review get re-cut? At 13:43 you’re reviewing Vignette and showing visuals of it, but start talking about The Craving (Jenna’s version). Then you do a reaction of The Craving (again?) So it’s kinda confusing. Other than that it was a well thought out album review. ✌🏻
@@Meow-Meow501 I’m not sure I’ll hear to check
YAYYYYY
SAI is my least favorite tøp album, but that doesn't mean I dont like it. One of the things I love so much about tøp is that each album is so different and unique, and SAI is definitely different. I also appreciate tøp for releasing an album during covid (like said in the video) because some people (like RyRo) just gave up after covid. Also, my favorite song from SAI is Shy Away (especially the livestream version)
Scaled and Icy and the Livestream event were my first "real" exposure to the band. While watching the Livestream, I was surprised by how many of the songs I was already familiar with - I just didn't know they were T0P songs. Thus, I had a pretty high regard for SAI - and then I found the earlier stuff. I still don't understand the love fans have for Vessel except for a handful of songs. I know enough of the Lore to be dangerous but Tyler's lyrics and subject matter reflect a lot of my own struggles with depression and that's why I eventually gravitated to Blurryface and Trench more. Still, SAI will always hold a place dear in my heart. (Oh, BTW, I'm 66 and my spouse (73) have tickets to see them in Seattle on Thursday. Can't wait.)
@@rickrigdon5565 that’s awesome that you relate to his lyrics. I’m glad TØP can reach different generations. I usually see fans my age or younger.
My favorite band of all time, got into them at a really low point in my life and their music has helped me so much. SAI is definitely different but I have always loved it, I get why some critics and stuff didn't vibe with it but I've always found myself coming back to it. Redecorate as a song also means so much to me so I wouldn't trade SAI for the world.
@@141414 it’s a pretty good album! I bought it on vinyl 🤘🏻
Trash band. Love a ton of the same music you do too. Just never gotten anything fun from them.
To each their own, but if you ever get a chance listen to Neon Gravestones it's a really deep and meaningful track.
That’s fair. Everyone has their own tastes. I can understand not liking TØP lol but I’ve liked them since I was a teenager so they’re kinda nostalgic for me
@@141414 I’ll check it out. ✊not opposed to trying it again. Just don’t really like much of it. Which is surprising, because I generally have a lot of the same music interests as this channel.
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor totally odd too cause we like a lot of the same stuff. I’ll check out a few more songs ya’ll recommended. Just kinda never really had anything really draw me in to their music
My ranking might seem a bit weird, but that's bc I just can't not take into consideration the political context of the subcultures they were inspired by and played into. If I were to consider stuff like Me! that takes the cake as the single worst, most disgraceful "art" (mass produced media is not, in my opinion, real art) Panic! participated in, but I'd rather forget that abomination exists I don't support hippie culture, it makes Pretty. Odd. an automatic worst for me and the only one I actively dislike. It was a pretty disappointing one at it too, Fever was really fucking great and very much underground, and then Ryan's anger ran out and he decided to do a 180 and sing about fucking sunshine and rainbows. Pray for the Wicked is kinda the opposite, the clear and open mockery of christianity makes me like it even more, as is Viva las Vengeance with the mockery of the music industry. 1- Viva Las Vengeance 2- A Fever you can't Sweat Out 3- Pray for the Wicked 4- Death of a Bachelor 5- Vices and Virtues 6- Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die 7- Pretty. Odd. The top 5 is really, really close though. TWTLTRTD has good songs, but as a whole is kinda meh.
@@noahdemetrio7666 very interesting but I respect it 🤘🏻

love the dedication
@@slipknot_girl I try lol
In the end Brendon was right. Ryan wanted to larp and pretend he was in The Beatles. All Brendon wanted to do was make commercially successful pop music. I'm on Brendon's side here.
@@bobbysmith9298 I think Ryan was just a young man who had success with one band and thought he could have success with another but minus some key components.
I live in new jersey and the only reason i love new jersey is cuz mcr and Frank and Gerard and Mikey :D
@@GravityDontMeanTooMuchTooMe what about Ray???
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor oh yeah him too!
I luv leathermouth <3 (i apologize for likeing hearing screaming on repeat)

I love Danger Days. It's not just the music for me, it actually expanded my interests by quite a lot. It's what got me into comics as more than just a passing interest, and seeing that fursuit head in the Na Na Na video got me interested in stuff that looked like that, leading to my eventually joining the furry fandom. MCR, and specifically Danger Days, has shaped so much of my life.
@@camerondodge2070 that’s awesome! Yeah the whole universe of Danger Days is so intricate and interesting. Also I love how MCR fans span so many different communities, it’s awesome!
