The audio is better after the change, and having lights in the background helps -- but I'm over the overly dark and yellow "cinematic" filters. It started in the late 00s as a response to the late-90s blue filters everywhere, but was quickly done to death. Natural tones (ie, the visuals before the filters) look much better.

Yo saying you don't need to worry about White balance is bad advice. Cameras detect color differently in different lightning conditions. White balance is so important for color correction and it's much better to it manually and do it correctly. All you need is a sheet of paper, zoom till it fills the frame, and then set the white balance, and you get a much better color spread that's much easier to correct in post.
