I have all but one of the big books…..the Josephine Baker one. Of course I have yet to read any of them….lol
@@BookishIntrovert63 I am so slow to get those Big Books read, but I will! I just have to make up my mind to read one, and pick one!☝️
Definitely King! That book looks massively so surprised it’s only 😂 500ish pages. I was wondering about Katanji’s book
@@DeesReadingLounge You may be right about reading King, and everyone in our book group gave Lovely One by Ketanji Brown Jackson’s book a 5 stars review.
"Never Saw Me Coming" sounds great. I'm adding that to my TBR list. Happy Reading 🤎📚
@@EbonyBrews I can’t wait to dig into Never Saw Me Coming. What are you reading? Thanks for watching!
So many great books! I finished The women Could Fly earlier this month. It was just ok for me, but we had a great discussion during book club. My sister just finished The Secret Keeper of Main Street. She loved it. The way she talked about it; makes me want to read it.
@@FreeFormLady I have dragged my feet on reading The Women Could Fly, but I will get to it. Good to hear about The Secret Keeper of Main Street. I’m sorry I missed your read-along and discussion of Cane River. I had all intentions to do so, but I couldn’t find my copy and other things got in the way.
It's so good to see your posts. I learn so much.

Dee, Happy New Year, and happy reading to you as well! 📚
You always have such good books. Daughters of the Merciful Deep definitely going on the list.
@@CarraRenee Daughters of the Merciful Deep sounds like a 2025 must read. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend 🤗
😍 Loving the hair Ms. Donna! I would wait on that Butterfly series if I were you until we get a date on book 6. I loved Dawn but have yet to read Adulthood Rites.
Got it on the Butterfly Series! I so appreciate all your comments and feedback. I watch your channel to check out your trending styles! Thank you on the hair!💕
My first series by Mary Monroe was the Neighbor series, I love that series. I love Ms. Monroe's books because I love it southern. I finished Kimberly Lawson Ruby's Curtis Black series and loved every book. I need to get back on The Blessing series by Beverly Jenkins because I love that series. You have a lot of good books.
@@sherryw9206 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. There’s a new Blessings book coming out in 2025. I plan to finish out the Reverend Curtis Black Series next year as well. Thanks for watching! ♥️
I have read the first book from the Alyssa Cole series you showed, and like it, didnt finish the series as I wasn't into series at that time LOL. Ive heard good things about that harlem renassainace mystery series you showed. That series should be good. I will be getting to yellow wife soon, i hope,
@@DeesReadingLounge Hello Dee, I don’t particularly like reading a book and later realizing it’s part of a series. I feel like I have to invest in it (only if it’s good). Be prepared for gut wrenching moments in Yellow Wife, but it’s worth the read, well written. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Those are nice covers. This is my first time hearing about them.
Thank you! ♥️
Suggestions: The Housemaid series by Freida McFadden (loved it). 2. Her Name is Knight series by Yasmin Angoe. (Loved it!)
@@deniseclark1000 Denise, I appreciate your recommendations, I will check them out. Thanks! 😊
The Butterfly series I think I got to the third book and it was just ok for me. Valerie Burns series is a yes, although I’ve only read the first book. Yes to God Don’t Like Ugly series. She’s one of my favorite. Have you read her Neighbors series and Mama Ruby series? I’ve currently started Monroe’s Lexington, Alabama series.
Yes, I read The Neighbors Yes, I read The Neighbors Series and The Lonely Heart, Deadly Heart Series as well. I read the first book in the Lexington Alabama Series (love it so far). I've been on the fence about Wahala, its good to hear you enjoyed it. Finding Me is an excellent memior! It made me love Viola even more. I love the cute book sleeves especially the matching bookmark 😍
I enjoyed Wahala, despite the cultural differences and language, the characters stayed with me. I’m looking forward to reading Finding Me right after I finish Yellow Wife, which is gripping me! Thanks for your comment…🥰
That lil book bag is so cute! That coffeeshop book has such an intriguing cover for being so simple. Beyond that every book you mentioned sounds worth picking up.
@@booksgurrsandpurrs Thanks again for watching…totally agree on the book cover and premise for ‘At the Coffee Shop of Curiosities’ looking forward to reading it.
Where the Crawdads Sing and Yellow Wife were such good books (although Yellow Wife was a tough read). I also listened to Viola Davis' book but didn't enjoy it as much as most. Happy reading!! Thanks for sharing!
@@Sonjaprince Thank you for watching. I just got into the third chapter of Yellow Wife. I will share my thoughts on Finding Me and Where the Crawdads Sing when I get to them.
