Reflections after working on Justin Lambert's Anagama

I continue to be overwhelmed by the clay community. @jlpottery I am still learning from you even when you're not even present! Thank you for your continued wisdom and generosity. I have rarely felt that I am truly living in the center of God's will, but with this #Anagama project, so many people have come around our family and supported us in so many ways, I have little else to explain the Peac...

Thank you for your video please be careful in the water
We are visiting Oct 2024 and just took the trolley tour. Thanks for documenting Ian's surge waters into St Augustine.
Tho we appreciate the video… there no way you should be out walking thru this!! It’s dangerous . You could have died!!!!
So dangerous walking through that!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏💯💯👍.
great video
You people are crazy.
These properties are all on exteded land where water was moved to build the properties.
De onde sai tanta água
Το καμίνι με δαχτυλίδι έχει προτερήματα που φαίνονται σε τέτοια περίπτωση 👍🏺❤️
This is very impressive but I don't know if you know how funny the still of you standing with it at the end is lol
This is incredible 🥹

Pottery and R&B... who knew?!😆
😊😊
👍
Ceramic wanker 😂😂
اوه!
hope he was able to fix the bend in it after he picked it up ,,,but the kiln is sweet being moduler
I wait till verry-hard leather hard to move them. It's what I have found to be the safest, still nerve wracking though... 😅
Can you creat a multi part mold with this method - I want to do a casting lesson with my HS students but don't have cottle boards?
Yes absolutely! Make sure you oil the plaster surface really well and build your flask as tall as tou need it. For large molds, clay buttresses may be needed to support the sheer volume of plaster.
Great video! Just got the Skutt 614 for my at home studio and would like to know if you have attached a ventilation kit to this model, or if just an open window would suffice? Greatly appreciate any guidance in the topic as I’m new to owning a kiln. Thanks!!
I believe Skutt recommends the vent kit for all kilns but I didn't purchase one for mine.
Greetings from South Africa 😊 do you think linseed oil would work as a release agent?
It might. Test in a small area before committing. The nice thing about the soap is that it washes clean and doesn't hamper the absorption of water while the mold is in use.
thanks so much for the Murphy's oil soap tip. We used Vaseline but that's expensive and a toxic product. And unpleasant to use!
And miserable to clean!!
Sending my warmest regards and my love to you all we had a huge flooding here a few months ago also around the same time mother earth is rebuking some of the recent global developments. Kia kaha. Lots of love.
thank you Herrick for the information..
You're very welcome!
So amazing!
I just now came up on this video, it was great. GREAT JOB!!! I hope you guys came out It ok..
Thanks, Herrick! Any substitution suggestions for the Murphy Oil Soap that might be found at my local (Polish) supermarket?
Probably can order online. I'm in France, so have the same issue.
You two are too cool Thanks for Sharing
Our pleasure!

OMG! I didn't know that was the adorable little house you guys lived at. I always pass it on my way to work and i just love the little houses down town. Funny enough that white truck was me and my friends!
Please don't walk in that water next time. There is a dangerous bacteria in the water now
Good report to get. Beware of electrical shock from flooded ground mounted transformers. Snakes & gators from the farm too
You know all the insurance companies were going CHA CHING🤑🤑🤑🤑
Love St.Augustine & was just there bout 8 weeks ago....sorry for your troubles...
Hi l also live in staugustine
In st Augusine. Near st Augusine high school.
Wow, it's interesting to see the landmarks around there. I wonder what the Bridge of Lions looked like? I was there almost two weeks ago, and I can't believe how it almost looked like nothing happened!
I live in St. Augustine - off SR 16. As usual, a part of Masters Drive flooded, and SR 16 where Masters Drive meets SR 16. Thank you for this video. It really gives us an idea about what happens in the Colonial Area!!
Glad you had your ritualistic shame muzzle on. I was fearful that clay may not have a good immune system. Beta males🤭🤭.
So dangerous walking through that water, You never now what could have been in it. We saw bull sharks 1/2 mile inland near Punta Gorda. Good to know you made it through ok.
Why you out there ....didnt you see the shark swimming in the street video?
Habibi, come to India, we will show you what floods actually looks like 🤣
I can't tell the difference between water flooding and the ocean.
You can get trench foot from walking in that water
UNREAL,I am in FLORIDA, Homosassa..We were good, thank God.
WOW 😦😲😲😲😲!!salt water intrusion!!poor plants
That lovely old house could get flooded, but the truck is up on a ramp. 🤯
Wow! That was so interesting and informative! Thank you so much. 😁🙏
I lived further down US1 off Segovia Rd when i was a St. Johns County resident. I love my lil town and miss it but currently reside in TN. We never took on much flooding over where i lived, but then again, this is the spanish quarter where youre right there at the intercoastal waterway and the atlantic. It ALWAYS floods San Marcos and the historic distric. I cant imagine the insurance costs, but i hate seeing my lil town flooded. However, folks have to understand this is nature if you choose to live in places like this. Sad but inevitable.
